Overall Experience
My close friend has been a resident at Springbank since January 2019, over the last 6 months I have fully realised how good this place is. She feels safe, or anytime she needs reassurance the manager herself and staff are on hand to offer support.
The equipment used in the home is second to none, in fact, it minimises the need to being transferred thus enhancing the resident’s daily comfort.
The home is clean, tidy and staff /nurses seem experienced and they care.
The home also offers a great array of entertainment, there seems to be something for everyone. There are daily exercises, news headlines discussed and explained, prayer, singers, there are regular social events depending on what time of year or what going on, surroundings are changed to reinforce the topic. The home also liaises closely with another local home where residents from there join the social events here, building links and friendships for both sets of residents.

I could definitely recommend.

My mum was lucky to spend two and a half years as part of the Springbank family as she battled with her dementia journey. Earlier this year she became really poorly and her end of life care plan was activated. The care and support given to her were second to none.
Supporting all the individuals in your care and maintaining and improving well-being was demonstrated on a daily basis as I sat with my mum during the last four weeks of her life. You constantly went the extra mile as you treated my mum like she was an important member of your own family. Truly caring for her as the unique lady that she was. You always remembered that you worked in her home rather than her living in your workplace.
So..... Thank you for keeping my mum safe, for caring and respecting her wishes and decisions.

Thank you for listening to my comments and concerns and responding in a positive way, those effective little changes meant so much to us as a family, and thank you to senior staff for leading by example. Your leadership promoted dignity and good care practice for all.

Our 92-year-old Mum was admitted to Springbank as an end of life patient. Although she passed away after only 13 days with them, during that time she celebrated her 93rd birthday. Her greatest fear had always been having to go into a home but it was a huge relief to us all that Springbank was such a wonderful place and she settled very quickly and easily. From the moment she arrived she and ourselves were made to feel incredibly welcome. There was never a visit when we were not asked if we would like drinks and biscuits. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and it really felt like ‘home’. We were able to surround her with personal effects in her room which added to her feeling comfortable and familiar with her environment. I would have absolutely no doubt in recommending Springbank to other families, it totally surpassed our expectations and as a family, we are immensely grateful to all the staff involved in caring for our very dear Mum.

Both my husband's parents spent their last year in the care home. They were 93 and 98. I could not fault the special care they received and the genuine concern from both the management and staff. We were always made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this care home to anybody.

My great Aunty has just passed away aged 101, after living here for two years. Throughout that time she was treated with dignity, respect and love by all the wonderful staff. During her final days, the care and devotion to ensuring that her passing was as peaceful as possible, was truly heartwarming and we, as her family, can't thank them enough. Despite us spending many hours sitting with her, we were unable to be there when her time came but these wonderful people ensured that she passed away surrounded by people who loved her. For that, we are truly grateful. We can't praise them enough.

I am very happy with the care that my mother receives here. It was a tough decision we had to make and we looked at 10 other homes before choosing Springbank. The staff are great and I always feel welcome when I visit. A great place.

Since mum arrived she has become more confident, able to join in with activities, singing, bingo, memory games. The staff are wonderful, she is given her medication, help with all tasks, her wishes are respected if she doesn't want to join in etc. The GP and nurses are always willing to listen to our questions, and act on them. I along with family members so happy mum has settled into her "for ever" home. We hope she enjoys it for quite some time. Management are very approachable its great.
