After being admitted to St Marys from hospital back in October for end of life care, from day one the professionalism, care, support of my day was incredible giving him dignity which is paramount for my dads vulnerability. Through difficult times for me staff always showed me compassion. The manager from first meeting was also incredible.

Reply from Charleen Trueblood, Home Manager at St Mary's Nursing Home

Staff, carers, nurse, office and manager are all happy and obviously care for their clients and family. Nothing is too much trouble. Never feel like we are being judged. Mum feels safe and it has changed her life for the better being cared for at the home. Can't thank the staff enough. It's a pleasant experience to visit mum not a worry. Always come away feeling happy with the knowledge mum is safe and well looked after.

My brother, sisters and all our families could not thank everyone at St Mary's enough. From Kitchen staff to owner they appeared to have all our thoughts and needs covered. We spent many hours with mum in her last days and was able to observe staff doing their daily work. No resident was ever without someone checking on their welfare every few minutes. No one ever passed a door with looking in and saying hello/hi to each person.
If mum was ever in need of support they didn't make her wait it was dealt with within minutes.
It gives us comfort to think of mum at St Mary's in her last days with all her family around her and being cared for by the best.

Again "thank you" to all staff at St Mary's we will always be very grateful.

My elderly mother was transferred here from the hospital during the final stages of her life. The home was always homely, caring and welcoming and my family and I were always kept updated, l and given the time from all the staff. The staff were always friendly and did whatever they could to keep my mother comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We will always be grateful for looking after her to the end. Thank you.

We were very relieved to find a safe, comfortable place for my mother when she became too frail to be cared for at home. The standard of care was very good and plans adapted, as Mother's condition became worse. Every member of staff was kind, friendly and conscientious. Their kindness extended to our whole family, with great sympathy shown as it became clear Mother was nearing the end of her life. Sadly, Mother was too unwell to benefit from the activities on offer, but I was impressed by the variety available with the resident's interests and tastes being considered.

St Mary's has provided the best service possible to my father-in-law. All the staff have been friendly, helpful, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The staff and management really care, which for a 99-year-old is really important. We could not have entrusted his care to anywhere better.

My nan required nursing care after living at a residential home for many years; unfortunately, they couldn’t meet her needs anymore. As a family, we were very worried about her moving as she was settled where she was. I chose St Mary’s from word of mouth, and honestly, it was the best choice I made. All of the carers, nurses, management as well as other roles made my nan and our family feel so welcome. They were quick to answer call bells, and nothing was too much trouble. The care my nan received, I was more than happy with. Unfortunately, my nan was only there for six weeks until she passed, and the end-of-life care was amazing. The support we were given was genuine, and I am so thankful to each and every single one of you. I am so grateful she wasn’t alone during her final moments, as we had just pulled up and just missed her. Thank you, St Mary’s; we will forever be grateful.

After a long stay in hospital, my mum was fast-tracked to St Mary's. l looked at several homes, but this one is very special. From the moment l stepped through the door, l could feel the love and care from the whole team. She was admitted three days later. Mum was very happy there. The room was very clean, and the food was very good. The staff were amazing, and nothing was too much trouble for them. My mum passed away very peacefully with all the family around. I will never forget the kindness, hospitality and dignity shown to my mum by the angels who helped my lovely mum. Thank you.

My wife was looked after so well by all the staff at St Mary's Nursing Home. The care and kindness she received was second to none. The staff all treated her with respect and spent quality time with her. They were also very good to me, giving me meals and the offer of a bed for me when the end was near. Overall, she was looked after better than I could do at home. Also, it was very clear that she trusted them. All the staff and management team should be proud of themselves.

Was put here after a period in hospital for a period of rehab. The care home was great. The room was excellent, the staff were excellent, the food was excellent, and the care was excellent. Couldn't ask for more from a care home.

My father was discharged from the hospital under the fast track scheme to St Mary's and was not expected to live more than a week or two. In the event, he was there for ten weeks, and this is a testament to their exemplary care. During his stay, he was treated with such kindness, compassion and dignity. Our family was always welcomed in the same manner, and I felt that the staff were genuinely interested in us. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at St Mary's
