Staff have always shown kindness to my mum. When she has been upset, they have taken the time to identify trigger factors. They have also acted quickly, registering a deterioration in condition and referring to the appropriate service. She and I feel very safe under Hollybank's care.

Mum was in bed in hospital before going to Hollybank and was up in the common room within 2 weeks. She seems happy and well cared for. She's been in hospital again due to a chest infection, and we were informed and consulted at all points. Food is lovely.

My mum has been a resident since November 2024. She has dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. She has received the utmost care at Hollybank House and been treated with dignity and respect. She requires hoisting always and assistance in feeding. The staff are all kind and patient and speak to her with great kindness. The home itself is beautifully clean and the food and drink very good. Families are made very welcome and kept informed of their loved ones circumstances. Events are arranged around special occasions which helps to provide quality time with mum. The home and staff let us have a lovely afternoon tea for mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary. I couldn't ask for better care for my mum and for the support and friendliness we feel as a family in our time of need. Thank you Hollybank.

Hollybank House truly stands out as a definition of a 'Home'.
My mother's transition into full-time nursing care was a nervous and emotional time for all family members. The entire team at Hollybank operated seamlessly and with sensitivity to ensure my mother was at ease and fully cared for the second she entered the premises. The same efficiency, care and sensitivity were applied to our entire family and continue daily.
The standards of care, from nursing and medical needs to nutrition and personal care and stimulation and attentiveness is exceptional.
We visited many care homes when planning the transition and none reached these standards. The house really is a home and residents and their relatives all feel like part of one large extended family and support network.

We are fully at ease that Mum is receiving the best care possible - safe, comfortable and happy. I cannot recommend this home enough.

My mum has been with HollyBank House now for a few weeks and I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they do. We always feel welcome and I know they are caring for Mum in the best possible way. I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t been able to place Mum so quickly after her hospital illness left her needing residential/nursing care. Thank you for making a difficult time so much easier to manage for all of us.

The team at Hollybank House have made such a difference to my mum, she is more mobile, stronger, sleeping well and is looking healthier than she has for some time. The staff are perfect and very patient with her and make her feel confident and at home with them. We are all delighted that Mum is receiving such excellent care and support and couldn’t be more grateful to the whole team there.

The home cared for our grandma during her last few weeks with care and dignity. The staff care for their patients, this was evident both with our grandma and other patients within the home. To know that she was not alone at time of her death is reassuring no and that she was cared for until the end.

Our loved one lived in Hollybank house for over seven years, the staff are exceptionally caring and nothing has ever been too much trouble. I would highly recommend Hollybank House, the standard of care and management goes above and beyond.
They do regular activities and often have entertainers in to perform, the residents enjoy this so much when they join in reminiscing with songs they recognise from younger days. It is all round a lovely family atmosphere whenever visiting the home.

I personally cannot thank all enough from management, carers to kitchen staff for the wonderful care they gave our loved one.

Mum moved into care during Covid-19 in 2020 but she has settled and is well cared for. The staff are friendly, communicative, approachable and go the extra mile to involve the residents in the daily life of the home. It has a comfortable family feel but remains professional and delivers good quality care.

Excellent care and support for my 90-year-old grandmother. After a traumatic six months of my grandma being in and out of hospital and respite after a nasty accident, arrangements were made for her to live in Hollybank House Nursing & Residential Home full time from March 2021. The care and attention she has received has been excellent. There are regular activities during the day to keep residents occupied whereby a regular activities coordinator is employed. Staff are constantly 'on the go' but always have time for residents. Food is also nutritious and tasty. Having recently been able to go inside the home after everything with Covid, I can say it is exceptionally clean and smells lovely. The manager and her staff are an absolute credit to the place.
