Oliver House Nursing Home provides a range of health and care services for older people in a homely environment with medical staff always on hand to assist when necessary. Providing quality, compassionate care, Oliver House offers a friendly community where people can feel safe and at home.

My mother has just celebrated her 100th birthday at Oliver house the staff were amazing several coming in on their day off to celebrate with her. Previous to coming here she was a resident at another "care home " where even though they were aware she wandered in the night she fell and broke her hip
and never regained her mobility she was left in her room all day and had no supervision at meal time this home had an excellent rating We found Oliver House and although it isn't as salubrious the care she receives is out standing the staff care and the owners aren't just in it to make money.The manager and her team truly care for mum which gives us as her children peace of mind .I honestly cannot recommend highly enough.

My mum has been in this care home for 6 weeks. In this time she has settled well. The home is very clean and functions well. The staff are very friendly and professional. They treat their residence with a lot of care and affection. They are treated with dignity and respect. The staff treat residence
like they are a member of their own family. They are quick to recognise signs of illness and act very quickly. They are also open to listening of ways in which they can improve. Today I have none. My mum is well cared for and looked after. Plenty of activities for all. Thank you Oliver House.

Excellent care for my brother who was there for the last few months of his life. He was well taken care of, and staff went above and beyond to provide extras for my brother. The staff, management, and owner were all excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oliver House.

My mother stayed at Oliver House for 2.5. weeks respite, the staff were very caring and empathetic. Mum actually did not want to go back home, but unfortunately, there were not any rooms available.
Mum has asked every day since she came home if she could go back.
This home is very well organised,
resident care is excellent. Thank you for caring for my mother.

When we first heard my mum had to go to a care home I was quite upset but Oliver House totally changed my view of what a care home can be. It exceeded my expectations in terms of how she was treated with care and dignity. Management staff and the activity organiser were so welcoming, it became our second

My brother-in-law was moved from hospital to Oliver House in September 2024, he was made very welcome from day 1 the care staff were excellent and always made to fuss of him. The management was always on hand to answer any questions we had.
Our reason for leaving was the distance from home and I was
the only driver so having my brother-in-law nearer we will be able to visit more often.

My father went to Oliver House after he came out of hospital. At first, I was very reluctant to let him stay in a home after a horrific experience at another home. But I can honestly say that the way the staff cared for my dad and how they interacted with him has restored my faith in people. He returned
home a few months later and it was very emotional for all involved. We shall be using Oliver House again shortly for respite. Do I recommend Oliver House? Most definitely.

Mum hasn't been at Oliver House for long but my first impressions have been positive. Mum has found the transition from being independent to having to have nursing care quite difficult but the staff have managed this very well. They are nice, thoughtful and caring and nothing is too much trouble. They
take time to sit and talk with residents and are so professional in their approach. The food must be good too as Mum has put weight on!

When we rang up about getting my grandmother in a home because she has dementia, the staff were very helpful. We rang up on a Sunday and by Tuesday she was in the home.
Since then she has been out on outings which she enjoys and doing activities in the home.
The staff are very good with her and take
good care of her, which we are very grateful for.

My mum stayed at Oliver House for a year until she passed away on 30th April. They purchased a new bed for her to help with her pressure sores. She used to smile and laugh along with the staff, more than she did with me, which she would not have done if she was not happy there. Overall, I think she
was cared for very well, and the staff helped the residents as much as they could.

My wife came into the care home for one week of respite whilst I was in the hospital. It gives me great pleasure to say that her time here has been a very happy experience for her. Having moved Mum from another care home, the difference in Mum is remarkable. It’s like she’s been given a new lease of life. The staff get her up every day and bringing her downstairs to join in with the activities and to sit with others for her meals has definitely helped my mum.
