My experience of Spring Bank Care Home has been nothing but good. The home itself has a lovely warm feeling and the staff are all friendly, caring both towards residents and relatives and particularly towards me when I was so upset when my husband first went to live there. I have met with nothing but kindness and friendliness & I have watched the handling & care of residents and seen the gentleness and caring manner they use. I am impressed with the way dignity is maintained.

When I went to see Mum I ask one of the staff if they new were mum was as she could have in any of the three rooms straight away she told us. I feel resured that mum is cared for and safe.

The home is run well. It is nice and clean and the staff are well mannered to their clients and visitors. I am waiting for a larger room as my wheelchair is fairly large due to my needs but the room I've got is nice just a bit tiny for the staff to manage to hoist easily. I am reasonably happy...

I am also waiting for an adapted car and when it arrives my parents will be able to take me out more. At present I enjoy sitting in the courtyard when the weather is good. My parents like being there with me too.

Springbank House would probably not compare favourably with a modern, purpose built home in terms of the facilities However, I believe few homes could possibly provide better care and attention for all the residents and often the families of the people who live there. All the staff (manager, office staff, cooks and kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry ladies and handy men) are excellent. They all do their best to ensure the home runs smoothly and to see the residents have the best care. The activities coordinator is always busy and keeps many residents happy and occupied. An excellent home - well alone to all.
My mum has found it hard to adapt to moving into a care home but due to her mobility issues she could no longer live alone. Slowly she is accepting that she needs alot of help and support and now is taking more of a role in the home by making friends and becoming more involved.

They work very hard through the year on a daily basis in what can be a very demanding job.

My sister is obviously very well card for in safe, warm and secure surroundings. It is a great comfort to see her so well looked after. Staff adapt her care needs as her health declines and she is checked by a doctor.

My mother went into Springbank House after leaving the hospital due to a fall at home. We are more than happy with the care she has received. The staff are very friendly and helpful and do their very best sometimes under difficult circumstances.
