Private fees typically range from £1,200 to £1,500 per week, depending on the bedroom selected and the level of care and support required and resident complexities. Fees are determined following a pre-admission assessment, which helps establish each resident’s individual care needs and any associated complexities.

Overall Experience

In the short time my dad was staying at Tynefield before he passed away he was supported 100% and more by the staff and management team. I couldn't have asked for any more from the care he received there. From the moment he was discharged from hospital to when he passed away. I would highly recommend Tynefield Court and would recommend anyone to arrange a visit and talk to the staff if they are thinking of a loved one that needs that extra care and support and cared for, knowing they will be in safe hands.

I found this care home to be very good all round. The staff were the best I have seen, with smiles and making you feel at home. The home is very light and with private ensuite rooms. Also, the meals were just like meals at home. Very good. The only thing I can fault, the staffing levels are too low at dinner times as having to wait to go to the toilet seems longer. Apart from that, they are very helpful. A good home that has improved a lot since my mother was first admitted, praise to the organiser.

I visited my grandmother to give her Christmas cards and presents. I hadn't been to visit for a while and was shocked to see the changes made within home décor wise. The home looks welcoming and fresh. My grandmother seemed very happy and on visiting was joining in with the Christmas party the home had arranged for all residents. I was asked if I would like any refreshments when I arrived, new staff members from my previous visit but were friendly and polite.

Katie EvansJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2026

Hi, I’m Katie, and I joined Tynefield Court in February 2026 as the Home Manager. I have worked in the care sector for many years and have extensive experience supporting residents with complex needs.

Most recently, I worked as a Registered Manager overseeing two large nursing services that supported people with complex health conditions and behaviours that may challenge. This experience has helped shape my approach to leadership and care.

I am passionate about leading with kindness and compassion and about ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care. I strongly believe in continually improving the experience of those who live in our homes, making sure Tynefield Court is a place where residents feel safe, respected and truly at home.

I am very happy to have joined the team at Tynefield Court and look forward to meeting residents, families and the local community.

If you are considering care for a loved one, please feel free to give me a call and arrange a visit. I would be delighted to show you around our residents’ home.
