Mum entered The Grange Residential Home in January 2023 and from day one, our minds were put at rest that she was being cared for and she was loved by staff and other residents. Mum settled well and celebrated her birthday a month later with staff and residents and a lovely cake baked by the chef. Mum
enjoyed the activities led by the activities coordinator who goes above and beyond her position. Management and staff show such care with their residents and their families. I could go on and on, The Grange is so much more, I even joke with staff I am booking a bed for a rest and great food, especially the puddings.

Mum was at the care home for respite at first, she loved it so much that when the time came we could no longer care for Mum's needs at home (due to dementia). We had no hesitation for Mum to be a permanent resident at The Grange, even though it meant as a family we had a bit of a journey to and fro.
Mum
was really happy there and cared for. There were some carers Mum really got attached to and they all really cared for Mum. Mum loved her food and the food at The Grange is exceptional (we know we tried it).
At the end of life, the care was shown to us too. Nothing was too much for them, we could be with Mum 24/7 (which we did) they looked after us so well at the most difficult time. We could never thank them enough and would definitely recommend this care home to anybody we know going through the same as us.

My wife has been a resident since November 2019 and has always been treated with compassion and kindness by all staff. Recently, despite receiving Coved 19 vaccinations, she tested positive for it and had to self isolate for 10-days. She was confused and could not understand why she had to remain in
her room, and a member of staff had to explain each day why she has to remain in isolation. The staff deserve credit for their patience and support to her. She did not suffer any Covid symptoms, which I put down the vaccination and its benefits.


During the last 12 months, the lockdown has meant that relatives were unable to visit, and the staff have managed to keep all residents fully occupied, this is more than evident in the display of photographs and videos on the Facebook website showing how well the residents were entertained during this period.
They all deserve our heartfelt thanks!

I was in The Grange for a few days for respite while my husband had a small operation. The welcome was very friendly and reassuring. All the staff (including cleaners and the chef) were very professional and caring. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt like I was in someones home and not an institution.
Obviously, there was a variety of needs but the staff were always willing to accommodate individual requirements.

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, always willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble. We are very pleased with the way my mother was cared for. Everywhere is so clean and tidy at all times. I would highly recommend the care home to anyone.

All staff at The Grange are very caring, dedicated and passionate about peoples needs with great dignity. Work good with team leader and part of that team, nothing is too much trouble to ask. They have a job to do and just get on with it. You can approach management at ease if you have any concerns
and they get dealt with at once.

Mum is always treated with respect and dignity and included in all decisions. The management is very responsive when contacted and resolve any minor concerns through discussion to reach a suitable outcome quickly. Staff are always friendly and welcome.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They were very good with us with getting my Uncle settled in and looking after him. He's made new friends and is quite happy. We're kept fully informed on how things are going. Activities regularly take place for residents. The owners are in the process of adding new
facilities for the benefit of the residents. Very pleased with the establishment.

My Uncle has been at The Grange for nearly 2 years. The family that own it are so kind and respectful to all the residents and me and are on site nearly every day. They are always trying to improve The Grange both inside and out to make life better and easier for the residents. The Manager helped me
so much in the first year through such a difficult time with forms and paperwork from solicitors, the social services and the Courts and in understanding my uncle's illness - which initially I had no knowledge of. The staff are always helpful and there is always a registered nurse on site to help me with any concerns over my uncle's illness. My Uncle has settled in well and I don't think he would want to be anywhere else. Relatives that have lost loved ones at The Grange still continue to visit because everyone feels like one big family. I have already recommended The Grange to my partner and his Grandma has been there nearly a year.

When my uncle arrived at The Grange Nursing and Residential Home he was very poorly and in need of care.
He was eating very little, drinking very little.
He did not want to speak to anyone - all he wanted to do was sleep.
He was showing signs of dementia.
The staff at the home have nursed him efficiently
and his improvement is considerable.
I thank the staff for this.

This care home was used after an unannounced visit by my brother and I. We found that the staff were extremely kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble for both the staff and management. Throughout my father's stay, he was looked after very well even down to them making a birthday cake for him.
When we visited he was always clean, tidy and dressed and his medical treatment was second to none. I would have no qualms in recommending this premises to anyone.

On the whole, you can't beat Thew Grange. The staff make the place what it is they are all good. If you need any help they come straight away to you. I'm happy and have made really good friends. I've been here for over four years so it can't be bad.

My mother in law has been here for nearly a year now and she has been really happy. She has the odd day where she asks to go home but generally she is very happy and settled. She enjoys the group activities with the activities coordinator and has made friends with other residents.

My elderly friend and neighbour came to live at The Grange Nursing & Residential Home after a month in hospital suffering from sudden-onset acute confusion and having collapsed at home. The Grange was highly recommended to us, and the staff there have been unstintingly kind and supportive, despite his
periods of unhappiness when he has been difficult to manage. The owner-manager and his mother make a strong leadership team, and their managers (previously) and now the new manager lead the nursing and other care staff to provide excellent care for their residents. Moreover for anyone interested in languages, the opportunities to learn a few words of (or to practice one's) Romanian, Hindi and other languages with members of staff are also most welcome.

My brother, who has dementia, was put into respite care at extremely short notice. The management were helpful and reassuring at this stressful time., The staff were very caring and looked after my brother with dignity and understanding. He was kept clean and well looked after. We would phone and talk
to him whenever we wanted and they gave updates on his condition and how settling in and they told the truth e.g if it was a bad day why and what happened.
Cannot fault staff and management without their support we would have been lost.

I am committed to fostering a sense of community and joy through events that not only entertain but also promote socialisation and mental stimulation. I am very passionate about my job and my first priority is to make all residents feel at home.


We have a range of daily activities which include exercise, singing, bingo, and arts & crafts. We also have special events celebrating religious and social occasions regularly throughout the year as well as arranging day trips for residents to places of interest.
