I would recommend Kimberley Care Village to everyone. It can be very hard to make the decision to pass the care of a loved one to someone else. Kimberley Care Village helped to make this difficult time so much easier. I cannot stress enough how happy I was with all the care my dad received. The whole
experience with the home was fantastic and made his last time there the best it could have been for all of us. Keeping us informed and making us feel part of every decision. All the staff went above and beyond to help him. He loved them all.
Reply from Nadine Vail, Registered Manager at Kimberley Care VillageI would like to personally thank Mary for this review and will definitely pass on her kind words to all the staff at Kimberley Care Home who really do work hard to try to meet each residents specific needs in a very personal way. We all really appreciate these kind words.

Mum went in as respite care, after spells in hospital plus another home these experiences meant we considered where to be Kimberley is designed on level and easily accessible areas with lifts we were difficult early on constantly questioning things mum, we or visitors felt uncomfortable with complaints
now seem insignificant we are grateful for the effort, patience demonstrated in those early days by the staff was exemplary Kind thoughtful giving above and beyond Due to the amount of time spent towards the end of mum's life we were privy daily to workings and realised the service applied at all times not just for visitors The learnings helped Final stage mode of operation was extraordinary the whole team engaged with us, an incredible service the various arrangements required were delivered timely when they felt we could cope We could go on extolling the virtues of these fantastic people anyone contemplating putting a loved one into care Seriously consider here

The care and friendship shown to my elderly mother in the last few months, weeks and days of her life at the Kimberley home in Long Sutton was, without doubt, exemplary. The staff are all lovely people who really look after their guests and treat them as family. My wife and I cannot praise them enough
and they made the quality of mum's end of life as good as it could be. Thank you all.

My sister passed away in December. Since this company has taken over I have seen nothing but great care and respect for everyone for the last month. We were going in all the time. My sister was in bed for almost 4 weeks. They came to turn her regular not knowing if were there. When she passed away there
were no signs of sores. In my mind as an ex carer that says a lot. She got better care than she would in hospital, that is why we asked for her to stay at Kimberley.

Moved my mum here after a disappointing respite care at another home. Had heard mixed reviews but decided I could take the gamble. Right gamble! Amazing care & attitude of the staff and management.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (9.049)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.049) out of 10 for Kimberley Care Village is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.811 for Kimberley Care Village is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.811
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.238 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kimberley Care Village is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.65
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.6 = 0.588
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
