Kingsthorpe View Care Home

Pauline and myself would like to thank all the staff at the Kingsthorpe view care home for all the care they gave to Eileen Egan (Pauline's sister) they treated Eileen with care and compassion throughout her stay there ,they kept the room and Eileen clean, tidy and fed ,although they were very busy found time to sit with her and made her smile, towards Eileen's passing two of the staff spent a lot of time with her caring for her and making sure she was pain free even when their shift was over, Pauline spent lots of time and got to know a lot of the staff who was very friendly and caring to her too when she was there for long periods of time the staff made sure that Pauline had something to eat and cups of tea ,at the last moments of Eileen's life they were there talking to her to keep her calm and assuring her she was not alone, they all went above and beyond caring for Eileen and we can not thank them enough .

The staff are very good, they look after Painton very good, I'm so happy with all the staff. Very happy. Thank you so much.

My friend was in a different care home and did not do well, but since moving to Kingsthorpe View, she is a different person, much calmer, she really has improved. Thank you.

Wasn't sure at first as never been through this experience before but the staff are lovely and are very helpful.

My mother-in-law has been at Kingsthorpe for nearly and we have been happy with the care she receives. The staff and carers are the best they go out of their way to make sure Mum has what she needs and is safe and clean.

The carers are friendly, caring and go out of their way to accommodate my mum's needs, Kingsthorpe View is clean and tidy and has been decorated to a beautiful standard. The manager and secretary are very approachable and friendly and I feel very confident that they would sort out any concerns I had should one arise. Overall, I am happy and content in the care my mum is receiving.

When I visit, the staff are always accommodating and provide me with refreshments. The support my brother receives from staff gives me comfort knowing he is being looked after in a more than adequate way. Also, I am supported and reassured by them when my brother is upset or distressed. There is a generally good atmosphere and never feel unwelcome.

My mother was a resident for 3 years. During the time she was at Kingsthorpe View she was very well cared for by the carers, some of them excelled in the care given to Mum, they looked upon us as family. She passed away last month but during her end-of-life days, the comfort and care we received, from all the staff and management, made it a time of love and more bearable. It is a lovely, clean and well-run nursing home.

The staff at Kingsthorpe View are amazing and an asset to the care home. They go above and beyond to help my dad and myself. Past few months have been very difficult with losing my mother to cancer and my dad coming to Kingsthorpe with dementia. I would really like if my dad could stay here as the care provided is fantastic and out of this world.

The staff make you welcome with a smile and offer you refreshments and always there for the residents.

Needless to say, I would recommend Kingsthorpe View most highly.

My mum was moved into Kingsthorpe View Care Home after hospital assessment and discharge in March 2023. Management and all levels of staff have all worked so hard to ensure Mum's care needs are fully met. Mum's fellow residents also have complex and challenging needs. All residents are treated with great kindness and respect. Food is ordinary but nourishing and residents' nutrition is well monitored. The living areas are clean and safe with good, level floors. Everyone working at Kingsthorpe is kind and helpful.

Haven’t scored a five as relatively new to this, but overall the service has been great and all the staff very accommodating. The meeting I recently attended was very helpful and informative from all that attended.

Staff cannot do enough for the people in their care. Standard and duty of care is excellent. They are totally quality people doing a very hard job with long hours and lots of mental, emotional and physical expectations. They never moan or ignore, nothing is too much, the management run a strict and considerate home with all the qualities you want and expect for your loved ones. Ten out of ten.

During the Covid-19 crisis, they have stepped up to another level if that was possible, keeping the family informed of any changes to mums health both physical and mental. Yesterday we saw my mum for the first time in 20 weeks, the staff have done an amazing job during this pandemic and we will never be able to thank you enough and if it was up to us, you would have the biggest pay rise ever. I know we are not allowed to mention anyone’s names in reviews but I want to say a special thank you to two people yesterday.

I would recommend Kingsthorpe View to everyone who wants peace of mind when thinking about future care for an elderly relative.

My dad was very difficult when he first came here, violent and verbally abusive. He is now much calmer, very happy and rarely has any outbursts compared to 3 years ago. Staff are fantastic with him and very supportive to the family. I couldn't be happier with dad's care.

My brother's bedroom is spacious and modern.

I have been going with my best friend to see her husband once a week for about 2 years. I find the home and staff very warm and welcoming. All the staff are genuine in their care for my friend's husband. I am offered a cup of tea every visit, plus special days to join the lovely buffets. Staff treat all the residents that I have met with the utmost respect. The home is always clean and warm.

The staff at Kingsthorpe View always made us feel welcome and treated my mother like family, nothing was every too much trouble. They always went that extra mile in mother's last days, she was treated with the best care I could have asked for. My mum always spoke so highly of the staff.
