Mum was taken care of extremely well at Astley Grange nursing home, the management and staff were excellent and treated Mum very well. Activities were arranged for all the residents which was lovely as this kept Mum occupied both physically and mentally. I would recommend Astley Grange to anyone looking for care, understanding, privacy and support in any way. Mum spent her last days here before passing away on the 1st Sep 2020 with staff/management allowing myself and my brother to be by her side throughout of which was extremely important to us.

All the staff including Freddie (the cat) work very hard to provide a comfortable stay at Astley Grange care home. I would like to stay there for a couple of weeks myself.

Can't praise the staff enough, my dad was looked after so well, and they did everything they could to keep him as comfortable as possible. They contacted us if there was anything that we needed to know and made my dad's time here as good as possible. I can't thank them enough for helping my dad and the family through such a traumatic time, even when we lost my dad, they were lovely! Thank you again!

We have been very happy with the service provided by Astley Bridge. From the initial visit, the staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all our questions and eased any anxieties we had. We were able to organise mum’s room as we wanted to ensure she was comfortable and had family mementoes around her. The communal spaces are clean and well used and mum became part of the community very quickly, getting involved in some of the activities available. It was reassuring to have people around all the time to socialise with mum as she really enjoyed the company and being able to talk to someone. The staff were very helpful and kept us informed with any issues relating to mum and her changing medical conditions. During mum’s stay, the family were reassured that she was being very well cared for and she was being kept safe and comfortable.

Everyone here is caring, helpful, cheerful and so very compassionate all the time. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, from cleaning staff right the way up to care staff and medical staff alike. Very welcoming and have time for everybody even when they are busy. Helped so much after the death of our friend from cancer who died peacefully in their tender care.

My dad was in poor health. He only lived for 4 weeks. The care he got from everyone was fantastic they couldn't do enough for him. They were there 24/7. Very friendly staff, in fact, 2 members of staff cried when he passed away. Well done to everyone. A very well kept clean home.

This was not the first care home I visited but it was the best. From stepping into Astley Grange we were all treated with such kindness and made to feel very welcome. It was unfortunate that my mum only spent a very short time there before losing her fight for life. All staff there go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this nursing home and hope there is one just like this when I need one. It is only very small but it is absolutely perfect in every way. It cannot be faulted. Well done to everyone.

Having looked around for a good home for my mother-in-law we came across Astley Grange. As soon as we walked in we felt at home, from the staff to the cleaners everyone was wonderful. Very caring and thoughtful. 1st class service all round. My mother-in-law was only there for a month and on end of life care. I would not hesitate in recommending this home as the staff were very caring and helpful to all the residents. Wonderful home. The room she was in was called the Sunshine room, as the sun shone through all day, was not depressing at all, made the situation more bearable. 100%

We, as a family, have been visiting our mum in Astley Grange for the past seven and a half years. We have seen many changes and the present owners are continuing to improve the fixtures and fittings of the home.

The staff have been amazing all this time, caring and always making you welcome and looking after individual needs. During Mum's last few months, they could not have done any more for her and we thank them.

Astley Grange. We can't thank you enough. Our whole family are so grateful to the caring, compassionate staff who provided end of life care to our Dad. Everyone that we came into contact with was welcoming, friendly and communicative and it was comforting for us to know that everyone did their very best for him.

My darling Mum was found a place here. It was perfect for her and us, as a family, lovely staff and lovely place. Sadly Mum passed away after only 5 days (she was very poorly on going there) but in that short time, I couldn't have asked for more. Just sorry Mum wasn't there longer. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone in Mum's final hours there.

My mother spent the last few weeks of her life at Astley Grange Nursing Home where she was cared for with the utmost respect, dignity and kindness by all the staff. There was always a member of staff to talk to and we were given expert advice and time to discuss all aspects of mum's care. We were with her when she passed away and we were so touched as carers came in one by one to say goodbye to her. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff.

My mother has been a resident at Astley Grange for a number of years now, my family and I have been entirely happy with the care, love and support she receives there. So when my father's health deteriorated we had no hesitation in asking for respite care for him to be at Astley Grange. When his health failed and 'end of life' care was required, again, we asked for him to be cared for by the amazing team at Astley Grange. The support, care and dignity shown to my father and also to the family at this very difficult time, sets an example for how a care home should be. Care is paramount and evident in everything they do, the professionalism of the management and staff is exceptional. I cannot thank them enough for all they do.

My mum was in Astley Grange Bolton for just over 3 years. She sadly passed away in August 2018. The care she received was very good. Knowing she was being looked after by the friendly, caring and compassionate staff put our families minds at rest. The home was always clean and the residents needs came first. There seemed to be always enough staff on duty to look after the residents. The nurses employed at the time my mother passed away were great and helped tremendously at our sad time. I would definately recommend Astley Grange as the care home, after looking at others in the area, was our first choice for mum when her dementia and general health got so bad she needed the 24/7 care.

The staff are helpful and kind. My mother-in-law is well looked after and is happy most of the time.
My mother-in-law says that she enjoys the food and her room is clean and her bed is comfortable.

The staff are very busy and it appears that they are not able to spend as much time with individual residents as they would wish and is needed.
