My father has been a resident since July 2023. Always received constant care and attention. Recently moved rooms to be on ground floor, nearer office to be kept an eye on, due to him wandering away from his room. Medical updates and phone calls to inform the family always.

A number of years ago, our Mum was struck by that horrible disease dementia (and it was horrible) and we became her carer and found it almost impossible to keep her safe and well. But, luckily a saviour came along in the guise of Simonsfield care home. It was there that she became happy and calm again and was well looked after in a way we couldn't possibly manage. We would get regular updates from the staff that she was going out to the cinema or to lunch in the pub. She would do crafts for special occasions and have parties where she would dance and sing away the afternoon with her new friends. We cannot thank the staff their enough.

She passed away recently, in her room at the care home. The staff there gave her the most dignified and peaceful end of life care possible. In her last few years at Simonsfield she had the best life she could possibly have. We owe the staff a debt we cannot possibly re-pay. Thank you.

Simonsfield is great Care Home and my Dad is very settled and contented. Home gets decorated with cards and pictures and decorations for Valentines Day, Easter, Christmas and other events. It has a very homely atmosphere and the Managers and Staff are very friendly and excellent care is given to each individual Residents different needs and personalities.
The Staff also look after the relatives of Residents with regular updates on care, appointments etc.
and have a way of cheering up relatives who may be adapting to having a family Member moving to the Home.

My Dad has been living at Simonsfield for over 2 years now and would not be here now without the expert care and dedication of the hardworking Staff who all have a great sense of humour.

My mum has now been a resident at Simonsfield for 10 months. The difference this has made to all of the family is amazing as we know she is safe and happy.
The staff here are outstanding. They are warm, friendly, supportive and always willing to help.
Everyone is treated with respect and receives the personal touch and attention they need.
I would recommend Simonsfield to anyone who is considering a care home for their loved ones.

Thank you to everyone.

Simonsfield is amazing, yes it's not perfect but it's very close. My mum is thriving. The activities they do are brilliant, theatre visits, meals out, going the pub, exercises, games, entertainment, the list honestly goes on. I cannot recommend this home enough. My mum is safe, looked after, well fed and all her medical needs are met. The staff are lovely, always gave a smile and are so caring with the residents. I love this place x

My dad has been a resident for the last year and I cannot fault the care this home provides. All the staff and management are lovely and attentive, they work really hard and nothing is too much trouble, keeping us updated if any issues.
Nice to see the activities they do with all the residents and being able to see on social media means I can still see him even when I don't visit. I feel I can relax knowing he is well looked after as he always seems contented.
They also have lots of parties, his social life is better than mine .. haha!

It was a big decision having to move Dad into residential care but probably one of the best we have made as a family.

My sister was a resident of Simonfields Anfield. She was 95 years old when she passed peacefully away. Her time in Simonfields was 8 months. From entering Simonfields I felt my sister was in the perfect place. The care she received was more than I expected, from the manager, through to all the staff was a step beyond the best I could ever have expected.

The residents have recreation, entertainment, fun, celebrating every event, such as Valentine's Day, creating hearts, cards and homemade decorations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Mum has been a resident for two and a half years, and by her own admission, is “very well looked after”.
The staff all work extremely hard, and they are all very caring when looking after the residents. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and they notice straight away if Mum isn’t herself and are straight on to dealing with the problem.
We are always kept informed of any changes due to Covid or anything else that affects Mum or our visits.
The care home manager often gets in touch regarding Mum and is always available should we want to discuss anything. She is very approachable and professional, and this can be said of her staff and the office manager.
We couldn’t wish for a better care home for Mum, and she is happy there, which is most important.
Most of the staff have been there for a long time, and I think this speaks volumes.

First-rate care home, with first-rate staff, right across the board.

My mum has been a resident for over four years now. Not that we were sceptical but Mum had previously worked in the care industry and never thought she would need the services they provide. After a short initial rehabilitation spell, Mum said she would happily live there. She is happy, cared for and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. The management staff are also. Nothing is a problem for them. It has been a very easy last four years for us as a family when it could have been heartbreaking. Even during COVID and lockdown nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Sincere thanks from us.

The staff have been supportive this past year with my mum. Lately, they have been working above and beyond as many of residents have lately come down with Covid, also the staff. And yet again they always make you feel positive, I feel so relieved that my mum is their care and I appreciate every single carer, reception and management.

My mum was a resident at Simonsfield for 8 years and sadly passed away on 30th September 2020.
I would just like to say that the staff were amazing, as well as taking care of my mum and tending to her every need during her last few days they also looked after myself and my daughter.
The manager and all her staff are a credit to the care sector and I would highly recommend Simonsfield to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.
The home is spotlessly clean and welcoming, they tend to everyone’s taste in food and snacks.

Keep up the good work and thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my Mum.

My grandmother spent 6-years at Simonsfield home. The nurses were lovely and made my nan feel happy and special. I would highly recommend other people who are faced with the stress I had to deal with to talk to Simonsfield.

My nan loved it here and had lots of friends and workers to make her feel happy well looked after. I'll cherish the staff who cared for my nan in my heart and memory, and if I ever win lots of money, I'll be donating a large sum to the nurses. Thank you so much for looking after my nan.

My uncle and his wife have been residents at Simonsfield Care Home for almost a year. Sadly my aunt passed away this month, and I would like to place on record my thanks for the excellent care she was given by the manager and her team. Aunty needed 24-hour care throughout the whole of her time at the home, and this was always given by caring attentive staff. Uncle is now being given lots of support and understanding at a very difficult time for him after the loss of his beloved wife. This care home is always kept clean and has a warm, inviting and caring atmosphere and on every visit, I am impressed by the attention and help given to the residents. There are always lots of activities and outings for the residents and the dining room resembles a first class restaurant with good choices on the menu.

I cannot rate the home highly enough and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone needing care.

Karen Evans
Karen EvansJob Title:Care Home Manager

My journey into the Care Industry started in 1998, 20 years ago. I first started in the NHS and then my journey took me into Elderly Care in 2000, I felt like I had found my vocation and I was promoted to Deputy Manager of a care home in 2004, on this journey I realised that in this profession I was able to make a difference in peoples lives, which is what drove me.

I then went on to become Home Manager at Simonsfield in 2008, 10 years ago, a job that I love and I know every day that I’ve made a difference in people's lives. In my capacity as Home Manager at Simonsfield, I strive to ensure that the residents receive the highest standard of care possible, I feel one of the best ways this is possible, is to ensure that staff feel supported and are allowed to expand to the best of their ability in their role, this includes staff training and moral support.

Simonsfield is not just a Care Home, it’s a home from home, with both residents and staff feeling cared for, happy and content. Our staff are very happy in their roles and this is reflected in the care our residents receive daily.
