Our mum has been a resident at Argyle Park for 2 years now and our family are so grateful to the manager & her team for the excellent care & attention they pay to all the residents. Each dementia journey is different and the staff adapt their skills to meet individual needs. We recommend Argyle Park at any opportunity.

Thank you.

My father has been a resident at Argyle Park for almost two years. From the first time I visited Argyle Park to find out more about the suitability of the home, I have been consistently satisfied with the care and attention my father receives. The care home is always clean, bright and cheerful. The staff always make a special effort to decorate the care home during holidays and special occasions. It is always a welcoming place. I have got to know the staff during my regular visits - they are always friendly, kind and attentive and I feel happy knowing my father is in safe hands there, with a team that always tries to do their best. The food is home-cooked and of excellent quality.

When my father is distressed or anxious the team go out of their way to comfort him and senior managers always do their very best to find a solution to calm him down. From day one the senior managers have been absolutely excellent. The management is exemplary. Can highly recommend Argyle Park.

Having made the hard decision that we were no longer able to care for Mum at home, we began our search for a care home. As a worker in the healthcare profession, Argyle Park had come up in a positive way during several conversations, so it was where my search began.
The manager met with me and gave me invaluable advice. She didn’t push her care home particularly, she seemed more concerned with us knowing what to look for in a good care home. Finding the best for Mum. It wasn't ideal for the home, but they juggled everything and Mum moved in the next day.

Emotions were high, tears were flowing. It’s never going to be easy, but the support we received from the manager and her team will always be remembered. They embraced Mum and helped her settle. They sent us countless photos and videos to ease our minds. They answered every stupid question we fired at them. Even when the going got tough, they were honest, open and all ttogether caring and helpful. Thank you.

Thank you very much for writing such an honest account of your experience of moving a loved one to Argyle Park. We understand how difficult the decision is and how hard it is when the day comes to move in. The support we offer to families is 'part and parcel' of the care we deliver and to have you show your appreciation with a wonderful review is much appreciated. Kind regards

Our Mum, who suffered from dementia, passed away in July. I know she always had excellent care in Argyle Park. Everyone of the staff was caring and skilled at meeting the resident's needs. The manager and staff have also always been available to support us, this support has continued after Mum died.
When I visited Mum there were often games and quizzes taking place, she and everyone else thoroughly enjoyed the parties and celebrations. Mum liked seeing the hairdresser and having her hair done.
Mum spent a very unsettling week in hospital in June. At the last minute, the hospital planned to discharge Mum to a different home. The manager rang the hospital several times to discuss this, and extra support for Mum was put in place at Argyle Park. Without this intervention Mum would have passed away in a home she did not know with carers she had never seen before. Thankfully, Mum returned home to Argyle Park. We are so grateful for this.

We wish the Manager and staff all the very best.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for twelve months now and has settled really well, I visit my mother-in-law regularly and always see staff around the residents either supporting them to eat and drink or just spending a few minutes chatting. Everyone is calm and very professional.

Argyle Park provides great care for my mum she is well cared for. Recently a new manager has taken over the running of the home and has done a great job by introducing more activities to engage the residents.

She has introduced a staff member who does the activities with the residents like singing, parties, dancing and painting. Also asking the residents what they would like to do.

My Dad has been a resident since March. He is very happy in the home and the staff are all so kind and caring to him. It feels such a relief knowing he is safe and that they care about him so much. I can see how genuine they all are and feel really blessed we found such an amazing place for him. It was so difficult having to put him into care but this is alleviated by how wonderful Argyle Park staff are.

I moved my Mum to this care facility as her dementia accelerated in late Summer. The facilities are good and homely. The staff and management are very caring and empathetic. A recent outbreak of chest infections has been dealt with excellently. Working in conjunction with NHS personnel the infection has been controlled, and residents helped with recovery. The emphasis is always on the needs and welfare of the residents, and managers and staff continue to communicate well with families and relatives. What impressed me was that residents are treated as friends by the carers, who go the second mile

in their support. Nothing is too much trouble and they have tremendous patience. We are very grateful for all the care and support for our loved one at Argyle Park.

My mum had to go into emergency respite care at Argyle Park in March. It was a worrying time, especially as I live 300 miles away. My mum has been in the home for about 3 weeks now and has settled really well, thanks to the care and support from all the staff. Initially, my mum was distressed and confused about leaving her normal surroundings and I worried that she wouldn't cope well being in a home. However, every time I've spoken to her she has talked enthusiastically about the meals, the activities, and especially the staff. I can honestly say my mum is thriving now that she is being well taken of by people who understand dementia. What has been really helpful is that the same people answer the phone each time I phone, including the Manager, so you're able to build a relationship and they obviously know my mum too. This has been so important as I'm not able to visit often. I would highly recommend Argyle Park to anyone having to make a difficult decision on care.

My dad moved in 6 months ago and has settled in very well. Every time I go he is well dressed and his room is spotless. The staff are amazing and have lots of patience for all of the residents. Now covid restrictions have lifted, it's lovely to be able to call up and say I'd like to pick him up and he's ready and waiting when I get there.

My mum has been here for the last 3 weeks and the level of care she has received has been second to none. She loves it here and it’s such a peace of mind knowing she’s happy and looked after so well. The staff are all so friendly and go over and above to make sure everyone is cared for to a high standard and always on hand to answer any queries. The communal area is great and her room is clean, airy and bright, and like a home from home. It really is 5-star care and I couldn’t be happier knowing she is staying here.

Always felt that the staff genuinely care about my mum, which brings huge peace of mind to all of us. Mum seems really settled here, is encouraged to join in with activities, and is a busy, friendly place with all the staff happy and attentive. It’s a huge decision to agree to long-term care for your parent but we feel that both mum and ourselves have found a gem in this home. Mum has recently had various medical complications and has unfortunately spent some time in hospital. I was immediately informed of the situation and was contacted regularly to enquire as to how she was doing. All the staff are very helpful and caring towards the residents, the home is very clean, bright, and happy. Afternoon tea with homemade cakes is probably my mum's favourite time of the day!

Mum seems happy and settled and all her needs are attended to daily. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Mum's room always looks neat and tidy as does mum. My grandad has been a resident at Argyle Park for 4 weeks now. The difference between Argyle Park and his previous home is unbelievable. I wish he'd moved there years ago. First impressions are how clean, bright, and welcoming it is. Staff are outstanding! Every single one of them. Nothing is too much trouble and they all seem to have a special bond with the residents. My grandad is settling in nicely. He's very impressed with the food and likes that he now has his own bathroom. He's always clean and well cared for and is encouraged to join in with activities. Although moving him was a worry. As a family, we are happy and reassured that his needs are now being met and just so glad we found such a fantastic care home.
