Dad has settled in to Maple Lodge very well which I feel is largely due to the care and attention of the staff. Dad is always clean and tidy. His bedroom is always spotless and his bed is always clean. Carol 'entertains' Tuesday to Saturday. Residents have a day out every Tuesday. There's bingo
and quizzes and she always celebrates resident's Birthdays.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Both of my parents have been residents in other care homes in the Wigan area but nothing has compared to Dean Wood Manor. My Mum has been there for many years and my Dad was there until his passing in June. The staff are amazing and they really care for the welfare, health and wellbeing of the residents.
They plan and monitor meticulously and I saw a marked improvement in Dad especially from the first few weeks of being there. They really are exceptional and communicate effectively with loved ones which is especially important for me and my brother as both live abroad. I can't recommend Dean Wood enough.

I am very happy with the care Maple Lodge provides for my mum who has been here for a few years. The staff are amazing and are so kind and patient. Everyone from manager, carers, cleaning, kitchen and maintenance staff know Mum and always show her care and compassion even when she is struggling to express
herself due to her dementia. They also look after us as a family and we are happy to approach them if we have any concerns.

I am the sister of a resident and am happy she is happy in your nursing home. The carers seem to be happy in their workplace and this comes through in their care. The physical building is great e.g. separate room for privacy/fresh air and a lovely back garden (secure) for residents and visitors. My
sister's room has an en suite toilet and sink and is quite large with a lovely view. Overall, well done Pennine View. Thank you.

I attended Argyle Park's Summer Fair and was 'blown away' by how much time and effort was put into it. It was very well attended and everyone (resident and visitor) had a very good time. A buffet was laid on and I must say it's one of the best I have had. The quality was excellent and the home should
be complemented on it. Both my wife (whose mum is the resident we were visiting) and I could not be happy with the service and care she is receiving.

After several falls and a diagnosis of mixed dementia it was sadly time for Mum to be placed in a care home. We viewed several, large and small and felt that Argyle Park was perfect. The staff are amazing, they work so hard to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, there are always smiles when we arrive
and you can tell from the way the residents interact with the staff that they feel safe and comfortable with them. The house manager is brilliant, Mum had a difficult time settling at first and care and advice was available whenever we needed it. Mum's mobility was very poor at times and they now have her up and about with her walking frame. The home is kept spotless, fresh smelling, there are tons of activities, quizzes, crafts, singing, and social occasions with friends and family welcome, and even miniature ponies come now and then. They have visits from an optician, podiatrist, district nurse, GP and also a hairdresser. We're so grateful Mum is happy in her new home.

It is not one experience as such but of many. The staff are so very caring and have a fantastic relationship with the residents. Individually and as a group the residents are like family to the staff. I cannot fault their attitude, care and respect they all show at all times. Thank you to all of you

The staff are very helpful and attentive even though he can be very obstinate at times. The only problem I can comment upon is we are still waiting for his eyes looking at with a view to treatment which would give him more quality of life.
