Review of The Brunswick from Claire B (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 July 2026 Submitted via Website

My mum is a service user at the Brunswick. She has made lovely relationships with the carers and other residents. The Brunswick team are highly qualified, friendly, empathetic and very welcoming. My mum enjoys all the activities that are on offer and enjoys her day trips out having fun and socialising. They are also very proactive in encouraging my mum's independence and mental capacity. I am very pleased with the care my mum receives at the Brunswick.

Carers are fantastic. So loving, caring and fun, and will always make sure residents are happy and well. Activities for the residents are amazing and well-thought out, with a monthly rota of activities which include going on day trips.

Residents are made to feel comfortable in a clean, safe environment. All staff are extremely helpful and will cheer up residents with laughter and love.

Review of Brooklands Care Home from Deb C (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Website

Mum has been a resident of Brooklands for just over a year now. She's had a couple of tricky moments with her mobility and confusion, but the whole team are there for her, to care, and give her the best life possible. Watching Mum participate in the activities Elaine organises, warms my heart, Mum has always been a 'pack animal' loves company, and a sing-song. Best decision ever!

Review of Brooklands Care Home from Kellie M (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Nan is a resident at Brooklands Care Home, and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. The staff are always so caring, friendly, and compassionate, and they treat every resident with kindness and respect. It's reassuring to know she's in such capable and dedicated hands.

The home offers a fantastic range of activities to keep residents engaged, active, and social. Whether it's arts and crafts, games, music, exercise sessions, themed events, celebrations, or other daily activities, there's always something happening to bring smiles and encourage everyone to get involved.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and feels like a real community. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents' wellbeing and go above and beyond to make them feel happy, comfortable, and valued.

I would highly recommend Brooklands Care Home to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive environment for a loved one.

Review of Manchester House from Andrea P (Niece of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
It gives me great pleasure to complete this review for Manchester House Nursing home.
My aunty has spent over 20 years living there and the staff are just incredible. For my aunt, the staff were additional family and for me they are friends.
I honestly can't thank them enough for the care given for so long and for the additional moving support shown recently, it won't be forgotten.
The home manager Rachel, goes above and beyond to make all the residents have the best experiences during their stay, relatives are also always included in the fun!

Manchester House will always hold a special place in my heart. Always grateful to Rachel, Tomasz, Vasi, Jenny, Elena, Lucy, Kay and all the staff (sorry I don't have everyone's names x) and in the words of my Aunty Eileen, Thank you very much x x

My Mother in law has been at Brooklands just over a year now and has settled really well, David, Danielle and the staff run a very happy welcoming home for all the residents, from the carers, cooks, cleaners and housekeeping they are helpful, approachable and nothing is too much trouble, everything is done with a smile.
The daily activities which include, chair yoga, painting, singing/dancing and numerous games are undertaken by Elaine, she is such a wonderful person and her fun personality shines in the residents, she truly is an asset.

Review of Manchester House from Joan M (Resident / Service User) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I was admitted to Manchester House 6 days ago for end of life/palliative care. The prospect of coming into care was daunting - but on entering I immediately felt good vibes - the staff were so welcoming, cheerful and professional. I'm very pleased with my room, I'm relaxed because I feel safe and supported by such caring and professional staff - I admire them and I'm grateful.I am lucky that I am still of sound mind and able to write a review for Manchester House. I worked in the profession for the majority of my working life and recognise high standards of person centred care. I would recommend this nursing home.

I cannot speak too highly of Birch Abbey. Mum was treated with respect and dignity at all times. From the minute Mum arrived I saw the genuine & caring interest from all staff, and everyone was committed to providing excellent and appropriate care, tailored to Mums health needs, personality and interests. Mum was only a resident for a few weeks and I was assured & confident in the wonderful care provided to the end. A wonderful team without exception

Visited the Home on 7th May this week, some of the residents were sat in the garden with Mrs N whom I was visiting, They were having a lovely BBQ in the sunshine the Residents where shaded by the lovely trees. The food looked amazing there were plenty of cold drinks on offer. There was music playing and staff were interacting with everyone.

there was a lovely atmosphere and they were making use of the lovely sunny day, it was so lovely to see. I just thought I would send a review as Sue the Manager Stuart and all the lovely staff deserve the praise for all they do.
