Argyle Park

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I attended Argyle Park's Summer Fair and was 'blown away' by how much time and effort was put into it. It was very well attended and everyone (resident and visitor) had a very good time. A buffet was laid on and I must say it's one of the best I have had. The quality was excellent and the home should
be complemented on it. Both my wife (whose mum is the resident we were visiting) and I could not be happy with the service and care she is receiving.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After several falls and a diagnosis of mixed dementia it was sadly time for Mum to be placed in a care home. We viewed several, large and small and felt that Argyle Park was perfect. The staff are amazing, they work so hard to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, there are always smiles when we arrive
and you can tell from the way the residents interact with the staff that they feel safe and comfortable with them. The house manager is brilliant, Mum had a difficult time settling at first and care and advice was available whenever we needed it. Mum's mobility was very poor at times and they now have her up and about with her walking frame. The home is kept spotless, fresh smelling, there are tons of activities, quizzes, crafts, singing, and social occasions with friends and family welcome, and even miniature ponies come now and then. They have visits from an optician, podiatrist, district nurse, GP and also a hairdresser. We're so grateful Mum is happy in her new home.

Brooklands Care Home

from L A (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 September 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I can very happily report that our Mum receives the very highest standard of care at Brooklands Care Home. The staff are all amazing, caring and professional. The activities organised are exceptional, entertaining, fun and engaging. Even on dull days, there is a bright, sunny atmosphere.
In March,
we sadly realised we were no longer able to meet our Mum's care needs, as she has Alzheimer's. She took a bit of time to settle in, as it was a big change for her, but she is now much happier and healthier. We haven't seen the walking stick she went in with, but that is because she no longer needs it! Not bad for 93.
We don't have to worry about her now and are happy in the knowledge Mum is extremely well cared for.
Thank you so much to each and every member of staff in the home, to management for leading such a dedicated team and to Elaine for providing the entertainment.

Garden lodge has been the best place for my grandad. He is thriving and I have never seen him so happy. The care is exceptional by every carer. He absolutely loves each and every one of them. We as a family could never ask for anything more than garden lodge. The meals, fun days, parties etc are fantastic.
His room is catered for him and the way he wants it. And birthdays are celebrated not only with staff but with family members to make it special and memorable. We could never thank garden lodge staff for the care they provide. They have made not only my grandad, but the whole family happy and feeling at ease. Thankyou.

My grandad has never looked so happy whilst being in this care home, he was in one before this one and he was so unsettled, he was escaping and everytime we went to visit he would ask us to take him with us. Now in Garden Lodge he absolutely loves it, it makes me feel as ease when I leave him after
a visit knowing he is cared for by the most loveliest staff ever. My grandad absolutely adores the staff who work here, he is always full of smilies everytime he is with them. I cannot thank the staff of Garden Lodge enough for what they have done for my grandad.

This is the third care home my mum has tried and I am pleased to say it's the last!!!!
As a family our journey of trying to find a safe, caring and family feel home left us with nothing but disappointment. Each home we tried had some good bits but overall was not suitable for my mums needs and deteriorating
mental status. Then we was introduced to Garden Lodge, at first we expected it to be temporary for my mums needs in order to get out of hospital, but when she arrived there, we instantly saw a difference in her. It was like despite the dementia, we had mum back, she was joking, smiling, was happy and even put on some weight making her healthier and stronger ( this had not been achieved in previous homes).
The reason for this is that the home is a family, they treat each other with kindness and respect and this is encouraged and role modelled in its staff. My mums key worker is phenomenal, he knows her so well and can get the best from her. My mum feels like she's finally home here

This is the third care home my mum has been in and I'm so happy to say that garden lodge is the last. I've watched my mum deteriorate over the past couple of years, now she is flourishing, happy, healthier and shes even put on weight which is great to see. I can't thank staff enough for everything they

Staff always show a high level of respect for both residents and families, they are very supportive and its great to see how they treat the residents with dignity and care. Garden Lodge is a safe and secure home which can help both residents and families feel at ease. The atmosphere in garden lodge is amazing and such a relaxed environment. The management team and care providers always greet you when you enter and it suched a lovely home, my mums room warm and welcoming and cleaned daily. Mum had been in Argyle Park for the past 4 years, and the first day she arrived from hospital the staff member I spoke to 2 hours after she arrived, said she was "settled" and she remained settled and very well cared for every day of her stay.
The facilities are so suitable for the residents, and
the staff are excellent, with a real and genuine care for each resident individually including a good understanding of their needs, their life story which brought them to Argyle Park, and their family dynamic.
The lounge and garden are the centre of Argyle Park and the residents and staff work together to build a real community environment. As a visitor it's a genuine pleasure to sit and watch things happening.
The time has now come for mum to move onto a different nursing home, but this was planned, led by the staff and the care home manager, with ourselves, as we knew that the condition was getting worse, and that a move was needed, thankfully to another home in the same group.

My husband has been in Argyle Park for almost 6 months now, and as his wife who visits every day, we cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. I have seen staff do menial and unpleasant tasks, but still with a smile! Some patients can be difficult with staff, but they do not respond except by kindness.
They show patience, tolerance, long suffering but also joy in their work. They spread happiness and joy! The manager is truly an example of the above, too, and so gives a good lead which they all follow.

Dad came to the Brunswick nearly 3 years ago. During that time his mixed dementia sadly worsened and his needs became greater as time passed. At every step of the journey, my Dad was treated with the utmost care and respect. He spent a very happy 3 years with all of the other staff. They ensured his
every need was catered for. Dad was happy, safe and well cared for. I am forever thankful that when a member of staff went out to assess him in his transitional setting, that she felt Dad was right for the Brunswick, as the Brunswick was definitely the best place for his final years. It wasn't often Dad needed medical care but if he did then they ensured he was seen quickly and kept me up to date
The other residents are lovely and the atmosphere in the home is that of an extended family. I would 100% recommend the Brunswick care home to any family worrying about finding the right place. I am forever indebted to the ladies and gentlemen who made his last years so happy

There is no other home like this. It's the best!
All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, it is very homely and always smells lovely and fresh.
They have so many activities going on, your loved one is never bored.
In the last 6 weeks since my father law moved into the home, he has gained weight,
loves the food and choice available, he's always clean and tidy, he has received exceptional nursing care that has met his care needs and he is very settled and content. On a routine visit for an outpatients hospital appointment, the staff were amazed at how well he looked and asked which care home he was in.
A huge thank you to the manager and all the team, you can see how much you care and respect all your residents and their families.
We'd like to thank every member of staff for all their dedication and hard work, Church View is a credit to each and everyone of you.
We feel so lucky to know that our loved one is receiving the best care and that he is happy and safe.
Highly recommend.

The Brunswick

We moved Mum in here in July 2024, and it has been a wonderful residential home for Mum. The staff have been lovely and my sister and I will really miss them all. Mum's Alzheimer's has sadly meant she needs more specialised help, and for that reason, with heavy hearts, we have had to make the difficult
decision to move her. We will miss all the fun afternoons with the staff and residents, and would recommend The Brunswick without hesitation.
