The new programme of activities has really improved the day to day experience. As I get to know the staff I am constantly impressed by their care & attitude to residents, this is all staff - domestic/catering as well as the staff directly involved in care. My husband is happy and encouraged to help
with various tasks which, in turn, makes him feel he has a role.

Thank you to all the care team at Birch Abbey. You are unfailingly cheerful, everyone knows the names of the residents and have a ward or two as they go about their duties. Mum can be a little quiet at times, doesn't always join in, but enjoys the activities from the side lines. There was a lovely singer
in the other week, Mum was actually mouthing the words of the songs - lovely! Your care getting her up and dressed every day shows - she is always dressed in co-ordinating colours, as she likes - Thanks. xx

This care home has undergone a big transformation in the last 18 months and is still a work in progress. However, the enormous efforts made are very visible. They have had a productive recruitment drive and they have improved their acivities program. The staff are happy and there is a lovely atmosphere
all round. The manager is approachable and happy to help. The carers are kind, compassionate and attentive. The chef and kitchen staff are always happy to help with dietary requirements. The laundry staff are great and clothing turnaround is quick. All the rooms are ensuite and they are kept clean and tidy by housekeeping. Its a good place to have a loved one cared for.

Mum moved into Argyle Park 4yrs ago due to a bad fall at home and not managing on her own due to her Alzheimer's, Then covid hit which was hard for everyone, Katie and all the staff are amazing she's so well looked after she was always a fussy eater but she enjoys the lovely food they serve by the
fabulous cooks, The care my mum has been lovely as caring with a person with Dementia can be challenging when she socialises she enjoys herself with the activities in the communal room, the videos on the social media page are great as not living local and having health issues I've not been able to travel to see her as much it's lovely to see her on the social media page, This care home deserves top marks the residents always look happy and well cared for.

I love the home they have looked after my uncle mick and my auntie Nora the activities they do with the residents are great and keeps them on there toes. They don't just sit them all in a room an leave them to rot like other care homes that my boyfriends dad as been in an is in know. The staff are brilliant
always doing stuff to raise money for the residents and they take the residents out for a change of scenery. And the parties they have are also really good thankyou for everything you all do x

My Nan moved into the home in Nov 2025 . It wasn't an easy decision for us to make . David, Danielle and the staff team have been so welcoming , nothing is an issue , always happy to help!!
Before our Nan moved into this home she would sleep a lot of the day - her movements would consist of moving
from her bed to couch each day . Since being her the transformation is incredible . Take takes part in the wonderful activities daily Elaine and the wider staff team are so energetic and thoughtful making sure the days are filled with fun and laughter .
My heart swells when I see my Nan to happy and settled . Each time I visit ( a lot ) there is always activities going on and everyone is so welcoming . I also love that they provide their private social media page . You can see the joy each of our loved ones has . A definite recommendation from me and us as a family ! I've already shared and recommended to some friends and family and will continue to to so ! Thank you for all you do!
Reply from Daisy Edmondson, Marketing Executive at Brooklands Care HomeThank you so much for this heartfelt review. Very upsetting when my mother had to go into care as we were not able to look after her the way we should of
It was the best decision as a family we made
My mum has done more in Brooklands in the first 6 weeks
She is so happy there up dancing and singing
And they also take the residents out
Always
something going on to keep residents engaged
Can't recommend Brooklands enough

Argyle Park is simply outstanding. It's extremely well led by Katie - a manager who has a deep understanding of the needs of the residents and has an extremely proactive approach. The staff who work there are compassionate, attentive and excel at meeting people's needs.
There is limited use of agency
staff and those that are used as regulars, forming part of the Argyle Park family.
Mum couldn't be in better hands and I am extremely grateful.
Yes some homes may have cinemas, bars and hair salons but with dementia care that is window dressing. I'd rather her be where she is - without any of these things - than in a larger home with all the unnecessary add-ons. The home is clean and has the facilities that meets mum's needs.
Reply from Daisy Edmondson, Marketing Executive at Argyle ParkThank you for your lovely review.
