Garden Lodge care home delivers residential and dementia care to up to 48 older people.

It is situated in the quiet, residential area of Netherley, Liverpool, close to a local supermarket, post office and large park. There is a direct bus route going to the centre of Liverpool every five minutes.

The home is entirely ground-floor level for accessibility. The home is split into two units, one for residential care and one for dementia care. Both units have single bedrooms with communal bathroom facilities, as well as lounge and dining facilities and a courtyard. The residential care unit also features a smoking room and a hair salon.

Two activities coordinators design and deliver an entertainment programme full of stimulating activities, often in the dedicated activities room. Residents can enjoy a wide range of group activities and are supported to continue their own hobbies or take up new things.

Onsite chefs prepare home-cooked food daily from fresh ingredients, including the option for a cooked breakfast. Residents’ preferences and dietary requirements are accommodated.

Love my visits to my relative at Garden lodge it is so lovely all the staff are so friendly and really care for all the residents always have lovely things/outings going on the all the staff are very respectful chatty and jovial

Garden lodge has been the best place for my grandad. He is thriving and I have never seen him so happy. The care is exceptional by every carer. He absolutely loves each and every one of them. We as a family could never ask for anything more than garden lodge. The meals, fun days, parties etc are fantastic.
His room is catered for him and the way he wants it. And birthdays are celebrated not only with staff but with family members to make it special and memorable. We could never thank garden lodge staff for the care they provide. They have made not only my grandad, but the whole family happy and feeling at ease. Thankyou.

My grandad has never looked so happy whilst being in this care home, he was in one before this one and he was so unsettled, he was escaping and everytime we went to visit he would ask us to take him with us. Now in Garden Lodge he absolutely loves it, it makes me feel as ease when I leave him after
a visit knowing he is cared for by the most loveliest staff ever. My grandad absolutely adores the staff who work here, he is always full of smilies everytime he is with them. I cannot thank the staff of Garden Lodge enough for what they have done for my grandad.

This is the third care home my mum has tried and I am pleased to say it's the last!!!!
As a family our journey of trying to find a safe, caring and family feel home left us with nothing but disappointment. Each home we tried had some good bits but overall was not suitable for my mums needs and deteriorating
mental status. Then we was introduced to Garden Lodge, at first we expected it to be temporary for my mums needs in order to get out of hospital, but when she arrived there, we instantly saw a difference in her. It was like despite the dementia, we had mum back, she was joking, smiling, was happy and even put on some weight making her healthier and stronger ( this had not been achieved in previous homes).
The reason for this is that the home is a family, they treat each other with kindness and respect and this is encouraged and role modelled in its staff. My mums key worker is phenomenal, he knows her so well and can get the best from her. My mum feels like she's finally home here

My grandad is a resident at Garden Lodge, the staff are all so welcoming and lovely and couldn't do enough for their residents. I go in to see my grandad weekly and I always notice how relaxed he is, the staff post regular photos onto their social media group which is also nice to see what he gets up

This is the third care home my mum has been in and I'm so happy to say that garden lodge is the last. I've watched my mum deteriorate over the past couple of years, now she is flourishing, happy, healthier and shes even put on weight which is great to see. I can't thank staff enough for everything they
do for mum, let me just say they go above and beyond. Staff always show a high level of respect for both residents and families, they are very supportive and its great to see how they treat the residents with dignity and care. Garden Lodge is a safe and secure home which can help both residents and families feel at ease. The atmosphere in garden lodge is amazing and such a relaxed environment. The management team and care providers always greet you when you enter and it suched a lovely home, my mums room warm and welcoming and cleaned daily. Our mum has been in Garden Lodge for 7 years now and the staff and home are absolutely amazing. If ever I have had any issues, then the manager and the staff have dealt with them quickly. My mum's room is spotless and the care is second to none. I would highly recommend Garden Lodge if you have a relative

My dad has been a resident since October, we were reluctant at first due to the distance as it takes me an hour to get there and Mum 2 buses, however, I wouldn't want my dad anywhere else. The team are amazing and they are a team, they all work together, my dad has settled so well, there is a lot to

My dad has been here since March 2024 having being moved here from a different home (if you can call it that) this care facility for my dad has been a godsend. The staff have been amazing to him from day one dad has settled in really well and we feel at ease leaving him here. Dad loves it too, he smiles

Staff are friendly and caring. The patients are treated with respect. Residents are clean and well cared for.

My mother has been a resident for almost five years now. During this time we had a pandemic, which I truly believe caused a huge decline in the wellbeing of residents and families alike. This was of course no fault of the care home who did their utmost to ensure families were kept informed of how the
residents were doing, through video calls and then garden visits. I felt confident that during this time my mum became part of the Garden Lodge family, and truly believe that staff care for her as they would a family member.
My mum has good and bad days, but I do feel reassured that the staff do their utmost to reassure her and make her comfortable.
My only concern is with clothing etc going walkabout. I understand it’s hard to control this, but I do feel I have to mention it as it does need addressing.
Overall as you can see from my review we are both happy.

My mum has been a resident at Garden Lodge for just over a year. She’s been well supported and looked after especially more recently after she became poorly from getting pneumonia. All of us live very far away and so we rely a lot on the staff to look after Mum. The manager, three particular members
of staff and many more are wonderfully caring to Mum and keep us well informed.

First-hand Garden Lodge went through dark times however the last few months has improved massively and a good place to be, I wouldn’t put my mother who I love dearly anywhere else. It’s gone back to being good like it used to be.

My mum receives excellent care. The staff are very professional and hardworking. My mum is very settled and comfortable at Garden Lodge.
I cannot thank the staff enough. When Mum had a stroke they acted fast and provided essential care and treatment.

Over the last 3 years all staff at Garden Lodge have shown such kindness, understanding and empathy to my dear uncle, but during these last few weeks during a spell of falls and being diagnosed with pneumonia you have all taken time to help him and assist him even more. I want to say 'thank you' to
