Hope House is a purpose-built nursing home in Clayton Le Moors, Accrington. Situated opposite Mercer Hall Park, the home is just a stone’s throw from local shops and facilities. Residents generally require residential or nursing care.

Hope House has a total of 38 tastefully decorated bedrooms, many of which are ensuite. The homely environment includes a conservatory which residents use as a quiet lounge, two comfortable TV lounges - one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor plus, a spacious ground floor dining room. There is also a landscaped rear patio garden which is fully accessible.

The team at Hope House are passionate about delivering the very best of person-centred care. They gather details and information from those who know the resident best. They communicate with families on a regular basis to ensure that care plans are up to date, and the important finer details are recorded to reflect personal wishes.

All residents are welcome to join in with the resident programme of activities or are supported to enjoy pastimes of their own choice. Of course, birthdays are celebrated as well as other special days in the year, as well as coffee mornings, afternoon tea and active, planned social activity sessions.
Residents' friends and family members are welcome at any time and are welcome to join in the activities of the home.

Everyone at Hope House is respected as an individual and therefore the team understand that everyone’s needs, and preferences are different.

The Head Chef prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Food is a big part of everyday life at Hope House, from the cooked breakfast that is offered, to the choice of meals at lunchtime and a teatime, with the snacks in between and supper.

My great-grandad is currently living at Hope House, and we couldn't be happier with the care he's receiving. Although he had the chance to return home once his baseline was reached, he chose to stay because he feels so well looked after there. Every time we visit, he looks well presented & clearly content.
The staff are always friendly, helpful & quick to respond to the buzzer. The home itself is clean, welcoming & always smells fresh. Small details make a big difference. It gives our family peace of mind knowing he is in a supportive & caring environment. We are truly grateful to the Hope House team.

The care home manager is awful, very controlling over service user patients contact with family members. The home manager is very aggressive on the phone especially over contact or visits with family members, We have attempted to visit my mum and been refused access by phone or in person, they control
my mums money access to her own money & blame safeguarding, previously mentioning police advised no contact with family, this is clear lies as Lancashire police confirmed this is untrue, a person known to me apparently advised the care home not to allow the son any contact nor his family for no reason, it's simple lies, my mums 85 we have a large house with granny annexe built & this home is charging my mum £200 a day or £1400 per weekly/mum had been made confused when she should be with us her family, this home is only interested in profiting from old people, mums assets & home is now at risk. not been reviewed by the CQC since 2018.

My sister was given the best possible care. Staff of all grades were so kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble. She was nursed in a loving, dignified manner and she was made so comfortable in her final hours. Her room was welcoming and bright, with many of her own reminders of home encouraged
to be brought to the home. Advice and support were always available for us, her relatives, even when she passed. We are so grateful to all Hope House staff.

My father-in-law was admitted to Hope House for the final days of his life in a palliative care situation. Unfortunately, he was not able to get to know the staff personally due to his decline. His admission unfortunately was only over a 3-week period, leading to his passing from cancer. We as family
would like to thank all of the staff involved in his care. He was well cared for and the staff did all that they could for him and us as a family. Special thanks to the assistant manager, night staff nurse and day staff nurse. Thank you to all involved. With loving gratitude.

My dad and sister have been here for a few years. Staff and team very helpful and caring. My sister has been here 9 years, now going to another setting. Best care home in the area. 10/10. I also let people know about it as I work in rehabilitation.

I came in for respite nearly 3 months ago.
The aim was to get stronger and put on some weight as I was very weak, very poorly. As to date now I am at a healthier weight and able to walk with a walking stick. The staff are fantastic, they listen and never show anything but patience.
The management
go above and beyond to help you as much as they can. I can witness that.

Hope House has been the best place I could have hoped for to look after my mother. She receives the care and attention very few other care homes could match. The staff are very professional and go out of their way to make a fuss of her, they are always willing to have a nice chat and lend an ear.
The
manager always has a friendly smile and will go out of her way to help and sort out any queries you may have.
A 5-star home with 5-star staff, I couldn't ask for anything more. Many thanks for making my mother happy.

My grandad was admitted to hospital due to falling unwell - throughout his hospital stay, he kept saying how he could not wait to get back to Hope House. On returning to Hope House, the staff have been amazing and have supported my grandad and us as a family. We are so happy with the care my grandad

All the staff are dedicated in the care they give. The bedroom and bathrooms are cleaned to a very high standard. Good quality food us served with choices and options available.
My relative enjoys the wide range of activities this home has to offer.
I'm extremely happy with the care he is given and

My grandad has settled into Hope House really well. The care he has received has been outstanding. My Grandad has always been very independent but due to his recent health decline had to go to a care home and we couldn't have picked a better care home for him. Hope House staff have really looked after

My great-grandad recently moved into Hope House - at first, he was reluctant to go into a care home, but now he said it is the best thing he did. He has made new friends through activities within the home, and he has managed to get back on his feet after having reduced mobility from a decline in health.
His room is always clean and tidy, and the staff are always willing to help; the care for him has been outstanding. Thank you so much to team Hope House. I would definitely recommend the home.

The resident was a close family friend who came to Hope House because he was so ill and unable to return home. He was cared for with dignity and respect despite some of his behaviours caused by his illness being challenging to the staff. No one knew how long he would stay with you, it was a short, stay
and we are glad it was with you all.

My husband received end of life care at Hope House. He was treated universally with kindness and dignity. Every member of staff I met was concerned with doing their best for him. Individual staff members went the extra mile to make sure everything that could be done to make things better for him was
done and for that I am extremely grateful.

I am extremely impressed by the way all staff members have cared for my family member, knowing that he is in Hope House and is safe and well cared for is a massive relief. His room is also lovely and he also has an ensuite bathroom which is ideal for him, I would highly recommend Hope House!

My family member recently came into Hope House and the care he is receiving is outstanding, we are so glad that he has come to hope house as he has been treated with dignity and respect. Prior to him being admitted to Hope House, we contacted them as we were unsure of what to do, the team was so helpful
and helped us all along the way helping the process to be less stressful. The management team have been amazing and we would just like to thank the Hope House team for their care and support at this time for my cousin.
