Overall Experience
I was delighted by the care my husband received in what turned out to be the last weeks of his life. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous to me, and in fact it was a pleasure to visit my husband in these surroundings. As his life drew to an end the care and concern were beyond praise for both him and me.

Overall Experience
My dad received a terminal diagnosis following tests and an extended stay at our local hospital. With his appraisal, he was placed at Halcyon House formally for palliative care. The care he has received at Halcyon House has been excellent. The staff are genuinely caring people, they do all they can to make his last few months as bearable as possible.
I can't thank Halcyon House enough for all they do for Dad.

Covid pandemic has changed everything for resident and her visitors. Visits are essential for residents well-being and are irreplaceable.

Overall Experience
I visit the resident once a week for allocated half-hour as her 'named' visitor while Covid restrictions continue to allow visits in residents own rooms. Staff are very polite and friendly. I am told the varied food offered each meal time is excellent.
The activities coordinator is very much appreciated by my friend I visit. I cannot comment on 'value for money' as I do not know the charges in this resident I visit.

My mum has been in Halcyon House since 2016. I am very pleased with the level of care my mum receives. She is always clean and comfortable when I visit.

Overall Experience
We have always felt that our mother was well cared for at Halcyon House and that she was safe and comfortable.
The staff always appeared caring and attentive, and this was demonstrated during her final days when their consideration for our family and for Mum's dignity could not have been bettered. They went out of their way to see that all of our needs were met, and we shall always be grateful.

Overall Experience
No concerns regarding Mum's care - excellent. The website mentions outings including pub lunches, shopping and visits to local attractions. Haven't heard of any?

I have worked at Halcyon House for almost 13 years and I really enjoy providing care to make a difference in our residents' lives. The house is friendly, homely and caring and I do all I can to make everything the best for those who live here.
Nicola Job Title:Senior Registered Nurse
I joined Halcyon House over five years ago as a night nurse before stepping into my current role as Senior Registered Nurse. I love providing care to the residents it is the part I enjoy the most about my job. In my spare time I enjoy holidays with my family, walking and swimming.
