I just wanted to say what an absolutely fabulous celebration you all organised and thank you all for the extra work and please pass my thanks on to all at the home.
I particularly want to say what an absolute asset Mel is, because I know how much the home has changed for the better, since she arrived.
I also want to say the same to you, Asma, you have all the qualities you need for this very difficult job and more besides. I have found you to be trustworthy, you listen without judgement and respond with genuine concern and desire to help.
You allowed Mel to join the group and her enthusiasm and energy have done wonders. I have seen how she gives personal attention and time to people in the home, touching hands and reaching hearts, the Christmas entertainments and group outings - you head a fabulous team and it cascades through the home - I am so grateful, on behalf of my mum - thank thank you thank you

I knew upon I first met the friendly staff and managers Ann Marie and Nessa that this home would be ideal for our Dad.
Small, Friendly and caring with lovely food and activities too. I would highly recommend you visit.
24 hour care for our lovely Dad. Local was important to us too. Halcyon isn't flash
or interior designed it's real care in a homely environment.
Numerous little family room areas are available to spend quality time with your loved ones , amazing sunny outside area and garden help to make it a real home from home.
End of life is never easy but the whole staff looked after us as much as our Dad and for that we will always be truly grateful.

I would like to express heartfelt thanks for the care my husband received during a short stay at Speedwell. The care staff dealt very well with his fluctuating needs, and the management were calm and helpful when we were uncertain of what arrangements needed to be made. Special thanks to the night staff,
who kept watch with the paramedic and me through the long night of waiting for ambulance arrival - (this included welcome cups of tea).

Our family will always be grateful for the care, kindness, and support shown to our father and grandfather during his time at Abbeyfield Hill House.
From the very beginning, it was clear that the home provided a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment. Dad often spoke warmly about the staff
and the genuine friendships he had formed there. The level of care and companionship he received went far beyond expectations and reflected the wonderful culture within the home.
We were always made to feel welcome as a family, and even during very difficult times, everything was handled with professionalism, dignity, and genuine compassion.
Thank you to everyone at Hill House for making such a positive difference to Dad's life and to our family.

My mum moved into Abbeyfield Speedwell Court early in March this year.
Mum has really embraced the transition. She is much happier and even looks healthier, with regular meal times, loads of activities where she has been encouraged to join in.
Staff from front desk to cleaners, chefs and especially
a big shout out to all the entertainment staff who do a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged and smiling. (Mandy, you're fab!)

Overall an excellent care home. I looked a lot of places when I was looking for somewhere for my mother. Within minutes of visiting Abbeyfield in Bramhall, I knew it was the place for her. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff are genuinely caring, and they're happy and always smiling. I only marked down
a couple of points, but that's only because the space inside is just a bit tight, but that's a restriction of the building, not the staff! (and all care homes are exceedingly expensive!).

Speedwell looked after my mum for nearly 2 years. Staff were caring,friendly and could not do enough for her. The home was always clean and never smelt. The cafe and garden are so lovely to visit with mum. I would recommend it.

I still have full confidence in the kind respectful care given to mum which hasn't changed over the last 4 years. staff do their utmost to care for mum as best to their ability even under some difficult times when there is little cooperation from mum. if I question or ask for anything staff are happy
to provide me the information needed and give me the reassurance of continued support and care. all the staff work extremely hard and all show their care and duty to provide a service to residents and family members, they are all so very friendly and I always feel mum is in very good hands which is ultimate for me knowing mum is cared and safe . the care home provide a weekly programme of activities/entertainment for residents . the care home is always very clean and I have total trust in all the staff at speedwell court

My Godmother has been at Speedwell for 14mths and has been extremely well cared for. A very friendly atmosphere means everyone knows her, whether it's care staff, kitchen or maintenance staff, the gardener, all stop to speak to her with a natural warmth. There are lots of activities which she's encouraged
to take part in. Whenever personal care is needed curtains are always pulled even though her room is on the first floor and not overlooked.

My father stayed at Halcyon House, Formby, for about 8 months. During this period, he received nothing but the best personal, nursing and dietary care. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

My regular visits to the Care Home have always been welcoming by the staff and I was impressed by the hygiene standards throughout the Home. My pal of over 50 years, Michael is happily enjoying his stay for the current 6th year and whilst he may not wish to take part in the majority of the professional
events, which are organised by the in-house staff his requirements are given the best attention with ease.
The Home and the staff are doing all that is demanded by an individual and elderly guest and I am awarding the Home 5 stars for its care and hospitality and may the achievements continue for the rest of my pal's life.

Speedwell Court has been a blessing to us since our mum became a resident. We have been able to work together with staff so that our mum receives person-centred care. The management and carers are always willing to listen and take into consideration family suggestions, ideas and deal with concerns.
We are able to rest assured because we can see that our mum is being very well looked after.

My father who dementia was admitted to Speedwell Court at short notice for respite care. The team were fanstastic at meeting his needs, getting to know him and help him settle in. They were attentive to his needs and he was well looked after. They was excellent communication with the family. We would

I can't praise the staff at Abbeyfield highly enough for everything they've done for my Mum since she moved in at the beginning of February. It was a massive change for her as not only had she left the house she'd lived in for 50 years but also completely changed location. Everyone was so welcoming
and caring and took time to get to know her and her needs. 6 weeks on and it's wonderful to see her so happy. She joins in all the activities and has only good things to say about the food, staff and her room. If there was a 6th star I'd select it. Thanks Abbeyfield for all you do - you make such a positive difference not just for the residents but for their families as well.

My mother was made to feel very welcome here right from the start. Her every needs were met and the experience was more like a high class hotel than a care home. At that time she was active and involved in the last few days before she passed away, everyone was so kind to us all and she was treated with
respect and dignity. The staff supported us through her last days too, and we were able to focus on her, enabling her to leave us peacefully.

We would highly recommend Abbeyfield! The layout of the building and residents front doors are really well thought out. Staff are all amazing, so involved with the residents to keep them active and hydrated. Dad stayed for 2 weeks respite and returned back home much stronger; mentally and physically.
In addition we really appreciate the invite to come and join activities, even when dad is now not in respite. He is still talking about his afternoon on the ice and has his gold medal on his walker. Many thanks to all involved.
