We always enjoy visiting our sister-in law at Pratt House.
The team always acknowledge us & offer tea & cakes.The place is spotless & attractive with flowers everywhere.Also the garden is well kept with attractive beds & seating for residents & visitors.
The care given to the residents is outstanding
& we notice how happy they are.
Also the activities are very varied so different every day for residents to enjoy if they wish to.
We feel we have chosen the best place for our relative which gives us peace of mind.

I take a resident out who lives here on a weekly basis and have done so for quite some time .I am always made to feel welcome and the home has a lovely ' Warm' feel.
The lady I take out always says how lovely and caring she finds the staff at Pratt house.
I would and have recommended Pratt house without
a doubt.

Mum moved to Pratt House not long before Christmas in anticipation that it would become her permanent home. She had previously been in another care home where she had a period of respite care following a fall. The experience of two different care homes on top of moving out of her own home could have
been disorienting for Mum, but the staff at Pratt House have worked well to make her feel at home. As well as providing an excellent level of care, the staff have made a point of involving Mum in various activities and, as a result, she is settling in very well. Pratt House provides a high degree of personal care, and Mum enjoys the quality and range of food.

I cannot say enough good things about Pratt House. My brother's mental, emotional, and physical state has greatly improved since he moved here in January of 2023. His stay here has yielded outstanding results. This is largely due to the very capable, professional, and caring staff. The many planned
activities, sense of community, and attentive care have had a tremendous effect. The Pratt House is in a lovely location with beautiful gardens. The house itself is tidy and well-maintained. The ample natural light makes it bright and cheerful which creates an environment conducive to an enjoyable life.

I came to stay here for just a week, while my daughter who helps me is away on holiday. This is a new experience for me. I have found it a pleasant experience, as I live alone, and I cannot get out and meet people as I have been used to. I have recently had to give up driving. The staff here are great,
very helpful and always available. The food is good, with a good choice of menu.

My father-in-law went into Pratt House for 9 days respite. He's just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's so we weren't quite sure how it would go. We were very impressed with the staff and general level of care at the home. Seems a good general atmosphere and there were lots of people smiling, particularly
when my father-in-law did his Elvis impression! He seemed to be happy with his stay, and we got through the 9 days fairly smoothly. There were a couple of medical issues but we were kept informed and they seemed to settle down over the stay. A particular mention goes to one staff member in particular who was our main contact and seemed very on the ball. All in all it seems a nice place and we hope to be able to take him in for other respite stays over the coming months.

I feel as though I am cheating here as I initially received a recommendation about Pratt House. However, I did a tour of 4 other care homes in the area and felt very comfortable with Pratt House. My father has now been there 2 weeks and I am delighted with the care dignity and professionalism all the
team there have shown him. I would not hesitate to recommend Pratt House to anyone who is looking for a safe and caring home for their loved ones.

Lovely atmosphere at Pratt House, residents always seem happy and content, staff are great and always appear happy and helpful.
Mum settled in very well and it's nice to know I can leave her there without any worries or concerns for her wellbeing and safety.

The care provided at Pratt House is excellent. Mum has been a resident here for two years; initially, it took a little time for her to settle, but the staff were continually supportive of her as well as us as a family. You can see how much they genuinely care about each resident by the relationships
they have formed. I would highly recommend Pratt House as a caring, home-from-home care home.

Pratt House Care Home is an excellent facility, very clean and warm for the guests.
The level of service from the staff is outstanding. I would recommend this home for anybody who needs members of their family to be looked after.

Quality of care is excellent.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Facilities clean and well-maintained.
Nice garden.
External appearance disappointing/reception area too small/often crowded with incoming or outgoing packages.
Poor meeting facilities i.e. somewhere for a family to meet with a resident other
than in their room.

The management and staff are genuinely caring and make Pratt House 'Home' rather than 'a care home' for my mother-in-law. She's been a resident just over a year and has had a few medical issues and hospital stays (she is 93 with some pre-existing conditions) and we're so grateful for how the team has
coped with fluctuations in her condition, particularly helping her convalesce when she's come out of hospital. Staff are lovely and the continuity is good. The activities are varied and accessible so that everyone can get involved in something. As a family we appreciate the private Facebook group which means we can see how much my mother-in-law has enjoyed activities (which she may have forgotten when we see her).
The bedrooms are light and a good size. I particularly like the garden and the fact that residents can access outside space easily. Security is good but unobtrusive. General feel is very good, friendly guesthouse rather than 5 Star hotel (no chandeliers here!) and it's easy to feel at home.

Privacy is good, staff knock before entering room.
I have lost one or two items in the laundry.

We moved our Mum to Pratt House six months ago from another home 180 miles away to be nearer to us.
Mum's mental outlook has improved considerably during this time. She has made friends in the home, enjoys the garden and activities, and keeps saying how friendly the staff are.
We have been impressed
by communications from the home and overall, are very happy with the care Mum is getting at Pratt House.

Our father has been with Pratt House for a year and during this year he has received the most special care we could have only wished for. Our family were a little worried when he moved homes due to his blindness and other ailments that will only get worse in time, but how wrong were we to worry. He
is shown so much respect, kindness and care by all of the staff. They go out of their way to ensure our father is included in everything possible. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Communication between the home and family is excellent. The Pratt House social media page is just wonderful, keeping everyone in the loop of the day-to-day events, events that we would never have known even took place. The activities are just superb.
A wonderful home and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

My mother has now been at Pratt House for 8 weeks after the breakdown of her relationship caused by her dementia.
It has not been an easy transition but the experienced team at Pratts House has guided our whole family to the now stable situation.
I remain astonished by the variety of activities that
are put on for all the residents to enjoy irrespective of their level of disability.
Whenever we visit we are updated as to her well-being and anything she has been asking for.
I would recommend everyone to consider Pratt House when looking for a safe caring environment for a loved one in need.
