The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered beds. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered beds has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

My mother only spent 10 days in Daleside before she passed away. In the brief time she was there I was disappointed by the level of care she received. Whilst my mother's bedroom was nice upon visiting I always found her sat in a chair in a small TV room with little or no activities taking place. Despite sewing name labels onto all her clothes, staff still managed to loose most of her trousers and these did not reappear after her death. I certainly wouldn't recommend Daleside to anyone.

A professional and caring team who provide outstanding support to those who find themselves, like us, needing an intermediate facility between hospital and returning home. We were met by a highly experienced and knowledgeable team, whom then delivered against a tough care plan and so much more. The careers are friendly, gentle and nothing was too much trouble. The O/T and physiotherapist team were exemplary and they went above and beyond our expectations at times. The home is clean and welcoming, it is running smoothly by a fantastic management team and provides home cooked meals. Would highly recommend this care facility. We had a very positive experience and Mum was very well cared for and now home.
