When visiting my brother he always was clean & tidy & well fed. He always seemed to be pleased with the care he was receiving and seemed very much 'at home' at Brandon House.

While there we saw the refreshments he was given and they seemed to be of good quality. The members of staff we saw were polite & friendly & really seemed to care for my brother. He made some good friends there. It was a happy place for him to end his life.

My stepmother Brenda has been in Sowerby House for three months. Initially Brenda was very unhappy being placed in a care home. But after a relatively short time she has now settled in. The main reason why she now feels settled is due to the exceptionally compassionate and caring staff who make Sowerby House a very welcoming home. Maria, Anthony and Emily & the management team are very friendly, relaxed and organised. The home is exceptionally clean and the food, prepared by a chef is excellent. I would have no hesitation recommending Sowerby House to anyone needing respite or care.

A warm welcome from the moment we visited the Berwick. Me and my family knew instinctively what the Berwick would be the best fit for our mum . The staff are warm and caring and always smiling. The attentiveness they show towards the residents is truly touching , you can see it's genuine kindness.

The whole team at the Berwick make you feel at home , it's a friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst still getting a the job done professionally.

I have had a very, very bad and distressing experience with this care home, and there is far more to my experience than I can explain in a review. I would strongly advise anyone considering placing their loved one here to contact me before making that decision. I am willing to explain everything that happened to my mother and what I experienced over the years. You will be shocked to hear what I have to say, and I believe it is worthwhile listening to my experience before making such an important decision. If you genuinely care about the safety and wellbeing of your loved one, please contact me first and I will share my experience with you. I have also spoken to members of the public who told me they had similarly bad experiences and advised me to remove my mother from the care home. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this care home to anyone. I would give it zero stars if that were possible. Please be cautious before placing your loved one here.

After making a complaint in February regarding the standard of care my mum received and no accountability taken by management I had to take my complaint to the second stage to commissioners who have conducted a full investigation . I have now received apology from the management as advised by the commissioners in their report where they outlined action plans for the home and they will be monitoring them .

If only they had accepted accountability in the first place not only had I lost my mum but I had to deal with them not accepting any responsibility at all for her care which caused me great distress . For instance reported falls alarm broken in December and in January she fell out of bed and staff not alerted as they had never repaired alarm. Although my Mum will not benefit hopefully other residents will and as a nurse myself I will always feel I failed my own mum having her admitted to Brandon House . Visiting every day for hours gives you a true reflection of what really happen

My mum has been in Broadway for 6 years and I can honestly say I would not wish for my mum to be anywhere else. The care she has received has been excellent. The whole team are very caring and show respect for the residents. The home has had a few improvements which are great making it a nice environment for all. At times it can be difficult for relatives and the staff are also on hand to answer any questions and are very caring.

The home is very good. Mum is settled and seems happier every time we see her. Mum loves the activities available and loves to laugh and joke with everyone especially Shirley. As a family we are very happy with the care mum is receiving.

Thank you for a fantastic summer fate I work in care my self and have to say management staff family's went above and beyond what a fantastic day and to see staff giving there free time up .truly an amazing. Residents looked so happy and I was overwhelmed. Banksfield you smashed it love Julie.

The home has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, together with staff who always acknowledges you when entering.
Rooms and areas are spotless at all times of visits.

There is a very inclusive recreational timetable which residents participate and enjoy.

This refers to the care of my brother in the last days & hours of his life.

My brother received care, support, and LOVE in his last hours, I was there, & was very moved by the kindness he & I were shown by all the staff on duty. When I arrived he was clean, shaved, hair brushed, and his last moments were quiet, calm & peaceful. I cannot thank the staff enough, A "CARE" Home, that is what he found in Brandon House. Thank you.

Mum spent 4 weeks here and it was 4 weeks too long, her safety was compromised as it took 4 weeks to have a key-coded door that led to her room fixed 2 complaints to the manager fell on deaf ears + finally an email to the CEO got it fixed in the meantime mum has EMI residents come into her room, a gentleman expose himself while trying to use her toilet Mum's anxiety increaded immensely during this stay and not once did the manager apolgise or go see Mum she preferred to deny knowing of the issue in effect blaming the staff Not what I call care, safety or compassion. I would not put a loved one this place.

What an absolute triumph of a day the summer fair was last Saturday! All the staff put in such a fabulous shift, not to mention the families of the staff too! Residents and families had an amazing time! My family and I had the best time, singing, playing games, eating fabulous cakes and having refreshments. Even had henna patterns on my hand and face painting too, children could participate in hook a duck, penalty shootout, raffles, tombola, An absolutely fabulous time had by all. My husband loved it and so did all the family. Well done and thank you

My family and I chose Berwick House , after looking at several other Care homes, because it felt comfortable and welcoming. The manager came to assess my husband at our home and she explained everything we needed to know in a kind and open manner.
My husband has Alzheimers and needs round the clock care which is provided by caring staff in a friendly and compassionate way. The manager and team have always made me feel welcome to visit at any time of the day. The premises are clean and light and there's a lovely garden for residents and visitors to enjoy. Any concerns I have had have been listened to and dealt with straight away giving me peace of mind that he is receiving the most appropriate care for his needs.

My mum recieved good care while she was residing at Barton Brook. She was looked after well by the staff and the staff liased well with the family informing us of any changes to mum's health. They have been brilliant with us when mum became poorly and then passed away. I would live to say thank you to all the staff.

Since my husband came to Courtfield at the end of May all staff have been very supportive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them and they react to residents needs as soon as possible. I am confident my husband is safe and cared for.
