Tudor Bank Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident at Tudor Bank for almost 3 years. She was very content and made to feel loved and cherished by all the staff. The care she received was fabulous. The carers were sensitive and always enabled mum to maintain a high level of dignity. My father visited mum every day, and the staff
also treated him with respect and fondness. He will miss seeing the lovely staff - but we are grateful for the care mum received.

Bilton Hall is a lovely old house in beautiful surroundings with excellent staff and support.
My mother has been a resident there for a couple of months now and from day 1, the staff made every effort to make her feel welcome and settled.
She had lost a lot of confidence after spending time in
various hospitals but since arriving at Bilton Hall, is now regaining her confidence and is integrating into social activities again.

My aunt was a resident in Tudor Bank for the last few years of her life. She was very well looked after, and I must particularly comment on the fantastic care and support they gave to her husband who visited daily. Whenever I visited the staff were always cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Mum came to Bilton Hall Nursing Home as a palliative/end of life care. She was cared for extremely well. The chef checked what food she liked and consistenly; the maintenance team checked the safety, the cleaner made sure of sanitising and cleaned; the nurses/assistants all ensured Mum was comfortable
and ensured personal care completed and appropriate medication; laundry was done regularly; admin was taken great care. Lovely garden - well kept. Always able to make Mum "hot chocolate" as often as required. All the staff were happy and lovely.

Alt Park

Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
Sadly my brother in law was sent to Alt Park via hospital, this is not somewhere we would have chosen for him, i would advise anyone to find somewhere else where all the staff are properly trained and have at least some common sense. The place is not that clean and the meals are not sufficient the
portions are far too small, the care he was given was inconsistent, he was not monitored as he should have been which caused him a lot of distress and not toileted frequently enough , leaving him in soiled clothing for too long. There was very little respect for him or us as a family. Thankfully we were able to have him moved to a wonderful home where EVERYONE is treated with kindness and respect the food is plentiful and the care is exceptional. Up to now he has not had anymore falls or soaking clothing or treated with indifference. Give Alt Park a miss, there are much better places out there who actually care.

Orchard Care Home

from A G (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
Our experience of nursing care in this placement was so very poor. Care plans were not followed and entreaties to have these followed were met with unresponsiveness and a determination to have the poor standards of the staff prevail. These standards were perceived to be poor with poor toileting practices,
pads not changed for lengthy periods and poor adherence to cleanliness and bathing. The minimum is done at all times. There can be lengthy wait for buzzers to be answered and poor staffing on floors. The lift was broken for a lengthy time entrapping upper residents for days in a severe restriction of liberty. Social activities for residents are minimal. Clothes are lost and seen on other residents and dentures and glasses lost without care. Our confidence in the nursing staff was non-existent and their responsiveness to concerns negative. The culture is so poor and set from the top. Complaints led to a revenge eviction. The experience of this placement devastated this family

My mum has settled really well at banksfield, the staff are really friendly and make a difference to my mum's mood.
On her birthday they made a big cake with candles, put on make up and done her nails. She always looks and smells clean. The food always looks good and healthy.
