We were so pleased to have used Mohogany Care Home. They quickly accommodated my Mother-in law. She was very happy and settled in well even though she was bedridden. Staff had listened carefully to her stories and could name her frequent visitors. We wanted to spend as much time as possible with her
and visited anytime. We were offered drinks and food. Staff regularly checked on her and made her as comfortable as possible.When were weren't there we got important phone calls about her health.

My dad only spent a couple of weeks at Mahogany due to being end of life. During his short stay, he was treated with dignity and respect. There was always a warm welcome when entering Mahogany and all staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The nursing care was very good and the nurses showed compassion
and made time to speak to us when we had any questions or concerns.

My mother-in-law is well cared for, staff lovely with her and the family. I would recommend Mahogany Care Home 100% kitchen staff and is also very nice always asking if we need anything. The entertainment brilliant I was there and all the residents having a sing-along and were so happy.

My grandma has been a resident of Mahogany since September 2024. She has vascular dementia and Alzheimers and had suffered a bad fall when she was at home which led to her having a hip replacement. Since going into mahogany my grandma has improved rapidly she looks so much healthier happier and content.
Her mobility has really improved compared to when she was at home she could hardly walk now she is walking with her walking aid all the time and is able to take small steps unaided. I cannot praise the staff enough as each and every one of them are lovely very friendly and caring and it's plain to see they have the resident's best interest at heart. Every member of staff from the kitchen cleaners to the activity co-ordinator are brilliant with my grandma and goes above and beyond to support her and meet her needs. The manager is lovely she works closely with the family to ensure that the residents and family have their needs met and are happy.

My mum has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and has been a resident at Mahogany since September 2024. The difference in her health and mobility has improved amazingly. She's happy and chatty and gets along with the other residents and staff. The staff are outstanding, so polite and friendly and so
good with the residents this includes kitchen cleaners and co-ordinator staff. My mum always seems to be having a laugh with one of them. The manager is a lovely lady very approachable any issues are dealt with immediately. I have nothing but praise for each and every one of them and can't thank them enough for the support and care my mum receives I sleep so much better at night knowing she is in good hands.

My husband has been in Mahogany for 4 years and couldn't get a nicer place, they treat everyone as family. So glad he is getting cared for so well, that he has his own room and no restrictions on visiting. Whatever I ask they will accommodate.

My dad has been here for over a year now and what a remarkable change I've seen in him. He loves the food and even though normally a shy person he interacts with other residents.
The home is very clean and is well-run. The staff are amazing always talking to the residents and keeping them entertained.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my father-in-law receives at Mahogany Care Home. Lovely caring people, who really looked after my Dad, washing, playing games, hair cut and meals to his liking when they could. I really could not thank them enough! The nurses were really great with communication with his GP and getting the meds he needed ASAP.

The staff at Mahogany genuinely care for my Dad and ensure he is well looked after. They are always friendly when we visit and keep us well-informed about his care. My Dad enjoys his meals and they ensure he is well fed and happy.

My cousin is a resident in Mahogany Care Home. I live outside of the UK so do not get the chance to see her very often. I was able to visit her last week and found it a very positive experience. There is a lovely, caring atmosphere in the home and the staff were warm and friendly. My cousin’s general
condition seemed to have improved since the last time I saw her. Given that all her relations live outside the UK, the staff at Mahogany are in fact her family. So it was reassuring to see their genuine affection and positivity towards her.

My wife has been resident in Mahogany for three months and throughout that time I have nothing but praise for the standard of care she has received. All the staff display empathy, kindness and understanding as well as affording their residents the respect and dignity they deserve. It also gives me peace
of mind to know my dear wife is being well looked after, kept safe and secure and being given the very highest quality of care.

Welcome to Mahogany Care Home. My name is Simon Linaker, and I am proud to share my journey through the social care sector, a field I've devoted the last five years to, after 8 fulfilling years in healthcare. I began my career humbly as a Hospital Porter and Nursing Assistant, an experience that allowed me to witness first-hand the intricate dynamics of patient care. Through hard work and dedication, I became a Registered Adult Nurse in 2019, where I developed my passion for social care. In my current role as Home Manager, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for all service users. My passion for falls prevention has led me to conduct an evidence-based dissertation that I successfully implemented in my working environment, underscoring my belief that the safety and well-being of our loved ones is the utmost priority. With a Level 5 qualification in leadership and management, I remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that our practices reflect the highest standards of care.


In my role, I not only focus on the physical aspects of health but also advocate inclusively for the LGBTQ+ community, demonstrating that everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected within our nursing home.


I am optimistic about the positive changes we can collectively bring about in social care, fostering an environment where dignity and respect are paramount. My goal is to lead by example, encouraging my staff to embrace diversity and treat each service user as an individual with unique needs and experiences. Together, we can create a space that is not only safe but also vibrant and inclusive, allowing each person to thrive. I firmly believe that with compassion and understanding, we can make our community stronger, one service user at a time.
