My mum was only a resident at Mahogany Care Home for eight days before she passed away, but in that time I can honestly say that the dedication, care, compassion etc was outstanding. The home manager and her team didn't only care for my mum but us as a family as well. My mum had 1 to 1 care for the
time she was there. They showed our mum dignity and respect at all times. All the staff from cleaners to the top management was first class. We as a family can't thank them enough for caring for our mum at this most difficult time.

Firstly can I say a big thank you to the manager, all her staff, from nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, and everyone involved in the care of my mum. She was transferred from the hospital to Mahogany Care Home, where the staff was amazing, compassionate, and so caring, my mum was there for only
7 nights where she needed 24-hour care 1 to 1, which myself and the manager fought to get this care for my mum, which was given. I would definitely recommend this care home, we as a family give gratitude to the care home for the understanding, care, compassion and also the love they showed my mum in the short time my mum was there. Unfortunately, my mum passed away in the care home after 7 days, the home showed dignity and love and cared for us all at the end. I would like to say as a daughter a big thank you to the manager and all her staff.

My husband was initially very unsettled but due to the patience of the staff and support he has now settled well.
He has suffered a brain haemorrhage and has been left with a brain injury and his behaviour is unpredictable.
Mahogany takes it all in their stride and supports him as necessary.
I feel
he is safe and do not worry about leaving him.

My dad has been in the home since October due to him not being able to look after himself at home. The home is very clean and there is always a good selection of meals for the residents. The staff are so friendly, caring and respectful to all the residents. The manager is excellent and very helpful
if you have any concerns. My dad is very happy living there and wouldn't change a thing, when myself and husband go home we know he is safe and very happy. Thank you to the management and staff for all of your support.

Since my mum arrived at Mahogany, we have met some wonderful, caring staff. She is treated with dignity and respect, and any feedback has been addressed promptly. The manager has an open-door policy, and it is reassuring to see her around the building giving feedback and engaging with everyone.

All staff and managers are brilliant, I can't ask for more for my brother's care. The food is to a great standard and the home is really clean.

My friend's Dad is in your care home.
Normally I visit with the family but I came to see him alone because the family was away. On each visit, the staff have been helpful and genuinely concerned about the residents and their families.

My auntie was here for about three months. She was looked after very well. The staff were amazing with her. She was very happy there.

My mum was admitted to Mahogany Care Home because she needed nurses to look after her. When we got the sad news from the doctor about Mum's health, we were apprehensive about care homes, our family has always looked after our parents at home. We have a large family. However, due to the nature of Mum's
condition, this was not an option. On arrival to Mahogany, the staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for Mum or family. Throughout her stay, care staff always ensured she was presentable and clean because she was no longer able to do it for herself. During her last days of life, the nurses were exceptional. They kept us informed with every step. Even the aftercare from the manager was exceptional, he made us feel at ease because we have never dealt with funeral directors before. Could not do enough for us. Decor is lovely. The only negative is the lounge near the nurses office is dated. No smells. Good food. Well staffed. Good activities for Mum in her last days of life. Thank you Mahogany.

I am resident in the care home for the past 3 weeks, exceptionally clean. All staff, including the lovely Manager all go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. No request to the staff and Manager is ever too much for them. I can only say that my experience here is excellent.

We was told we could no longer care for Dad at home, and faced the daunting task of choosing the right care home. We found Mahogany Care Home to be very warm and welcoming. The staff all spoke and it has a proper family feel. Dad moved in on the Monday, but we had the issue of how we would celebrate
Mum and Dad's Platinum Wedding Anniversary, with less than a week to go. Mahogany suggested we had it there. They went above and beyond to make it a special day for them.
The staff are always cheerful and interacting with the residents, and the residents all appear happy , cared for and loved.
Up to now Dad is happy, loves the food and chats to others. Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of him.

Can't thank the manager and the staff enough for the care, respect and dignity they all showed to our mum, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. My mother was helped to integrate slowly into the home's community as she had previously been living alone for over 20 years. I have seen a steady improvement in her mood and general activity.

Excellent care and compassion with the residents, all staff are polite and caring. Lovely meals - 5-star kitchen staff and cleaners laundry and the care staff.
Management is excellent and always willing to help if there are any concerns.
The management and staff are excellent and nothing is too much
and any concerns are dealt with in a professional manner.

After spending many months looking for the right home for my great auntie, we came across Mahogany Care Home. From the day we have enquired and shown interest, all the staff and manager have been nothing but helpful and friendly. Since my great aunt was in the home, I can honestly say I feel happy leaving
her there. I have been at many different times of the day, and the staff are always so happy and welcoming, and they showed a real interest in trying to get to know my auntie. Home always clean and tidy. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the staff - cleaners, caterers, carers, nurses, administrator and manager.

Mahogany Care Home is run by a team of dedicated, hardworking, caring staff. When visiting mum there is always an air of calm and also an aroma of freshly made food! The staff always treat mum in a dignified and respectful manner, they are cheery and loving with her. All the staff, are friendly and
approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. The manager has been very supportive and gives us regular feedback on mum's progress. Mum is happy and secure and well cared for, this is of great comfort to us as a family.

Hi. I would like to recommend Mahogany Care Home. I visited with a friend whose grandmother is a resident. The home was very clean and homely. I saw that the staff were non-stop, looking after all the residents. My friend's grandmother said she loves it there. The nurses and carers are very nice and
the food is excellent. She said the manager is very nice and always speaks to her along with all the other people there. She said her room is warm and cosy. She feels very safe there. I agree it was very nice.

An atmosphere of calm greets you at Mahogany House. Mum has been a resident there for almost a year. During that time my family and I have found the quality of care to be first class. Staff at all levels are friendly and approachable whilst working hard to ensure residents are safe, comfortable and
healthy. They always have time for a cheery word and a happy smile. All staff, especially carers and nurses treat mum with dignity and respect. A varied schedule of activities are planned throughout the week keeping residents engaged. Mum and her friends tell me the food is delicious. The dedication of the staff is greatly appreciated. Leaving mum after a visit I am assured all her needs are well catered for.

Welcome to Mahogany Care Home. My name is Simon Linaker, and I am proud to share my journey through the social care sector, a field I've devoted the last five years to, after 8 fulfilling years in healthcare. I began my career humbly as a Hospital Porter and Nursing Assistant, an experience that allowed me to witness first-hand the intricate dynamics of patient care. Through hard work and dedication, I became a Registered Adult Nurse in 2019, where I developed my passion for social care. In my current role as Home Manager, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for all service users. My passion for falls prevention has led me to conduct an evidence-based dissertation that I successfully implemented in my working environment, underscoring my belief that the safety and well-being of our loved ones is the utmost priority. With a Level 5 qualification in leadership and management, I remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that our practices reflect the highest standards of care.


In my role, I not only focus on the physical aspects of health but also advocate inclusively for the LGBTQ+ community, demonstrating that everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected within our nursing home.


I am optimistic about the positive changes we can collectively bring about in social care, fostering an environment where dignity and respect are paramount. My goal is to lead by example, encouraging my staff to embrace diversity and treat each service user as an individual with unique needs and experiences. Together, we can create a space that is not only safe but also vibrant and inclusive, allowing each person to thrive.
