My 90-year-old grandma came into Mahogany on respite, then lockdown occurred! She became very poorly for 3-weeks, but due to the exceptional care, love and patience by all the staff, she is through the other side!
We have enjoyed the video links, WhatsApp chats and chatting through the conservatory window.
We have watched her smiling face virtually cycling, singing, dancing, playing bingo!

Thank you, Mahogany, do not know where gran would be without you.

My mum has been at Mahogany Care Home for 20 months. I'm happy with the warmth and care of the staff. Mum is a private person and she is allowed this privacy as well as company when she wants it.

My mum has been in the care home for over a year now and she is very happy and she enjoys eating all her meals in the dining room with her friends. She says every day how lovely the food is and every day she comments on how great the staff are to her. She can also have her own quiet moments to herself whenever she wants. We as her family are very, very happy that our mum's happy and settled and she enjoys her time in the lounge with all the staff.

What a lovely home. Every one of the staff is pleasant and can't do enough for my dad. The quality of care is amazing and they treat every resident as if they are a member of their own family. They start caring for your family member and become friends. The quality of meals are outstanding and my dad always enjoys his food. The home is spotless throughout and always smells nice. The staff always make you feel welcome at home. As well as caring for your loved one they also care about your feelings as a relative. The management team are very professional and the home is very well led. My dad is very well looked after he always looks and smells clean and tidy. I have ultimate respect and trust in this home and have no worries or concerns.

All in all, a very well run, spotlessly clean, well presented and pleasant care home, the whole staff right from top management down to the carers and cleaners just can't do enough.
I am there often and from what I can tell they really do care. They treat their guests with respect and have a down to earth yet professional approach in all that they do. The place is really clean and smells pleasant too with a nice ambience and caring atmosphere throughout.
There is ample parking, the home is tastefully decorated with posters and pictures on the walls, there are books for residents to use.
Catering wise there is a large clean dining room with spotless cutlery and crockery, the kitchen is also clean with a 4 STAR FOOD HYGIENE RATING...(GOOD!)
There are two guest lounges with large TVs and CD players, etc. as well as games to stimulate.
There is also a large garden with benches to sit on outside when the weather is good.

Personally, I wouldn't have any issues staying there myself if the need ever arose.

Overall Experience

My dear brother was resident at Mahogany for the last month of his life. The care that he got could not have been bettered. The nurses and carers were lovely and looked after him in the best possible way. After he passed away they took control and did everything promptly and with exceptional care and sympathy. A special mention should go to the manager, a lovely lady.

Mahogany Nursing Home is a wonderful place. We know our mum is well looked after and safe. We have peace of mind knowing that the staff look after mum's every requirement. Rooms are spacious, clean and bright. Staff are exceptional from cooks, cleaners, carers, admin, nurses and management. Food is plentiful and nutritious and the laundry is done to a high standard.

My mother has been at Mahogany Nursing Home for nearly three years. I have found the staff to be extremely caring and diligent with all the residents. All aspects of management and catering also the domestic side have been very impressive and my mother has enjoyed her stay there, she loves the carers and the domestics alike as they are so friendly and caring.

From the moment my dad came to this care home, he has been treated with respect and a patience for his dignity. He is quite well cared for and the food is very good with plenty of drinks as well in the day.

We would have liked his room to be a little larger though but as he has become familiar with it, we have accepted this.

Mum has been a resident for 2 years and during that time I have seen 3 managers come and go and bring unrest amongst the staff, causing discontent. Since the last manager departed and the new temporary manager was brought in the feeling of contentment is returning. All I care about is mum and her treatment so I notice the general atmosphere of the staff and in my opinion, the temporary manager is bringing stability and a more happy atmosphere. Also, the entertainment has improved thanks to the new activities coordinator.
