Brimstage Manor have taken excellent care of my dad, helping him to settle, encouraging him to join in with activities (despite his initial reluctance) and providing him with a safe environment to live in. They are very adaptable to the needs of their residents and assist family members who may need support through difficult periods.

Dad has been in the home for a good few months now, this is the second home he has been in, the first home was very good but could not meet his needs the way brimstage has, the staff are great they all show him the respect and care he needs and nothing is too much trouble, the activities they offer are great and dad always tries to join in especially if it's singing or dancing and really enjoyed planting in the green house, and celebrated his 80th birthday with a little party where all the residents joined in with the singing and dancing, dad has had some issues and the staff dealt with it all effortlessly and kept us in the loop throughout I would not want him to be anywhere else as he is very settled here, would highly recommend them all

My mum has been at Brimstage Manor for the last 18 months and I can honestly say I couldn't be any happier with the care she receives.
Every member of staff from the new managers, to the nurse's, carers, the activities coordinator, kitchen staff and cleaners are absolutely amazing, they treat every resident as if they're their own mum and dad. They're treated with respect, dignity and love.
I really thank all the staff enough, or recommend this home enough.

The home itself as undergone a refurbishment and is now a beautiful bright welcoming home.

Staff were excellent, kept us informed and were extremely helpful, my mother in law was very happy and putting on weight. She was enjoying her time at the home making friends with staff and other residents. The home is clean and well decorated. The food seems very good and my mother in law enjoyed most of it.

I knew from when I entered the premises and received a warm welcome from the management team and staff that this was the right place for my mother. As I walked round, I observed that the residents were all settled and occupied. The building was of a very high standard and there were no odours present generally associated with a care home. The room they suggested for my mother was substantial. However, we knew we'd fail at first base because it was green. The following day, it had been painted, and that was before we'd 100% committed. Nothing was too much trouble then and isn't now. They have welcomed us as a family and we join family get-togethers organised by the home. Activities are first-class and change constantly, keeping all engaged. For them, it's all about people and the staff are absolutely amazing and incredibly caring. Can strongly recommend this home! One very happy son and, most importantly, one very happy Mum.

Best thing we ever did! Had a great feeling about this place the moment we entered. Staff are cheerful with a can-do attitude. Even the poorliest are included. They're incredibly caring and nothing is too much trouble. Mum absolutely loves it there and said she'd cry if she had to leave now. She's really settled, adores the staff and loves the food. She's made lots of new friends and the home did a great job matching Mum with other residents of similar outlook and ability. The activities lady is wonderful - a game-changer for Mum. Haven't seen her this happy and settled in a very long time. She says she feels safe now. The staff are very aware and spot things immediately. Everywhere is spotless, with every need attended to. From the cleaner to the chef to the nurses, all the way up to management, they are without exception an inspiration and incredibly hard-working. And they've made us feel very much part of the Brimstage family too, because that's what it is, a family.

We are delighted that Mum has moved to Brimstage Manor. My Dad was also a resident here many years ago and it is lovely to see so many of the staff still here. Mum is so well looked after. She is clean, warm and clearly so settled here. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The home is spotless and the laundry service is superb. The food is delicious and wholesome too. As a family, we couldn't be happier with Brimstage Manor and are grateful to all the staff for their care, patience and kindness.

My wife has been at Brimstage Manor for 18 months. Doubts about moving from home have been eased by the care she's having, the family atmosphere, and how she's settled. The staff, in whatever role, are cheerful and engage sensitively with residents. Attentive and personal care is matched to people's personalities and needs. Activities are enthusiastically led and organised. On-site management is brilliant: the manager and deputy are committed, imaginative and lead by example - their positive approach with residents, staff and relatives bringing significant improvements. Having five different social areas to choose from is important; the recent refurbishment of the home has made a big difference to its comfort and social life. During a recent illness the nursing care for my wife, and liaison with the GP, was excellent. On Christmas Day she was sufficiently recovered for us to have lunch together in her room, the table beautifully decorated and the service like being at a restaurant!

My dad has many complex needs and has been very ill recently. The staff couldn't do any more to give him better care. The staff are all very kind and helpful and also have a laugh with him and his bad jokes. It makes me feel happier as I know he is in a safe place.

Mum is very happy at Brimstage Manor. Her room is sunny and comfortable, looking out over a colourful garden. The staff are well trained and caring, and treat all residents as members of a family, whilst allowing for their individual personalities and interests.

The matron and nursing staff are always happy to discuss concerns and are proactive when medical issues need to be followed up with external agencies. Family and friends are made welcome, and there is a busy schedule of activities and entertainment. It's good to know that Mum is safe and, at the same time, leading the best life she can.

We cannot say enough to thank the staff who helped in Dad's care.
Care had to be found quickly and we struggled to find anywhere that could manage Dad's complex needs. The manager at Brimstage Manor said that they could manage his needs and they absolutely did.
From the moment he arrived and through, sometimes quite challenging times, we saw nothing but compassion and kindness.

It was clear dad was treated with respect and understanding. As a family, we were also shown a lot of support from the staff. Everyone showed true professionalism. This, in turn, gave us so much comfort and reassurance that Dad was in the right place. The home is kept very clean and there is an ongoing programme of refurbishments and updates, rooms are all well-kept. The gardens and outdoor spaces are a wonderful bonus. We were very impressed with the quality of the food served, it always looked and smelt delicious and homemade. We would not hesitate to recommend Brimstage Manor.

Dad has had the most amazing care from one particular nurse. Nothing is too much trouble; she provides such good care to him.
She understands Dad's needs and is always respectful and talks to him about his family, who he adores.
