The last 6 months visiting my father at this place has been a breath of fresh air, the management and all the staff are extremely kind, caring and a credit to the home. The food served is excellent, the daytime activities are amazing and there's a general all round good feeling at this home.

My father in law was well cared for at St Catherines. All the staff were caring and helpful. As family, we were always made to feel so welcome. We also appreciated the dignity they showed to dad in his final days. Thank you for everything.

Mum has lived at St Catherine's for nearly three years and is very happy there. Under new management the home is working hard to improve facilities and care for the residents. The staff are wonderful, from professional nursing staff and carers to housekeeping and kitchen staff. St Catherine's is a small size home, all on one level with access to a central garden giving it a homely atmosphere. There is an excellent activities team with a weekly programme of varied activities and get togethers. As a family we have not regretted choosing St Catherine's to care for Mum in her final years.
Your kind words about our staff, homely atmosphere, activities programme, and ongoing improvements are greatly...
I have always found my friend well looked after and his room is really tidy when I visited him. The staff always make a great effort to entertain the patients and visitors alike.

The staff at St. Catherine's go above and beyond when it comes to care, well being and the needs of the residents. They make the residents part of a family, and we always felt included in the family vibe when visiting our mum. Although I have only rated management at satisfactory they have a new management team and when we call in we can see how this new team is working towards a much higher standard.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased you felt the team created a warm, family atmosphere and that you always felt included when visiting your mum.
We also appreciate your comments about management and are glad the positive changes with the new team are noticeable. Your feedback means a great deal to us and will be shared with the team at St Catherines!
My partner has been looked after in St Cath's for more than 2 years and has received good, kind, compassionate care consistently during this time. Staff have taken time to get to know him and treat him with warmth and respect. All staff make me feel welcome and it really is like proper home for my partner. Many thanks to all.

From the moment we arrived at St Catherine's which was quite late in the evening after bringing Dad home from Tenerife, we were greeted by the most welcoming and lovely staff.
Karen who works in the office and Anna who does all the activities hold a special place in our hearts. There is a real family feel to St Catherine's, from the residents all doing things together to the home cooked meals.
My Dad was very happy at St Catherine's and we will all miss everyone very much.

We will pass on your kind words to Karen, Anna and the team. It's wonderful to know that the warm, welcoming atmosphere and home cooked meals made such a positive difference for your Dad and your family.

My mum has lived in St Catherine's for nearly 2 years and is cared for by some of the most passionate and wonderful people in the care community. The whole care home is a community and the staff know the people living there. My mums room is overlooking the central garden area and has the afternoon sun with bushes and trees visible from her bed. We have a bird feeder by the window and it brings her delight to see the birds feeding. Close to being 95 there's not much you want other than to be looked after well and chatted to plus a chance to join in some of the great activities the care home staff put on. My mums meals are good and the staff encourages her to eat and drink, my mum has dementia and needs constant support that we feel St Catherine's offer her. She is cared for and checked upon regularly during the day and night. The facilities are clean and in good order, the care support is excellent, she is treated with respect and shown dignity. The new management is better.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear your mum feels comfortable, safe, and happy at St Catherine's. It means a lot to know that our team's efforts are making a real difference. We'll be sure to share your lovely feedback with the staff.
Care staff, due to no fault of their own, lacked basic positioning knowledge and despite us hiring a private physio to support my dad weekly, and provide various recommended positioning references, was not implemented.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges your dad and your family faced - this is not the level of care we strive for. Your feedback is important and will be taken seriously to ensure lessons are learned and improvements are made.
Visited my auntie today who is a resident at st Catherine's. As soon as I walked through the door I was made to feel welcome by every member of staff. The home had a very warm, friendly atmosphere and it was very reassuring to see how happy my auntie was. On observation the residents were treated with dignity and respect and the staff demonstrated warmth and compassion towards everyone. I was leaving just as lunch was being served, it looked delicious and I noted sufficient staff were available for those that needed some assistance. What a lovely place and look forward to visiting my auntie again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very proud of the St Catherine's team who are doing a great job supporting people's loved ones. Come back soon!
Very happy with the help care and consideration they gave my mum in her last days, wonderful staff from the nurses, carers, and office staff to the kitchen staff. Very warm and considerate people at this care home, nothing is too much trouble and you feel very well looked after. Help and support are just right outside the door and the facilities are very good and everything you need. Thank you to everyone at St Catherine's.
Thank you for your lovely review. We will be sure to pass your comments onto all of the staff at St Catherine's!
After being introduced and welcomed into St Catherine's community, the most accurate way I can describe it is not unlike a really friendly village. It appears to 'run itself' so well, it's obvious to me how hard staff and management work to connect things so seamlessly so the 'village' works together twenty-four hours every day. People get to know each other at their own pace, all are welcomed, whatever their disposition - respect given at all times. There is never a feeling of non-safety or isolation. All this is what makes for a very therapeutic environment. No one is left out or judged. Very many thanks for the enormous sense of relief you provide every single day.
Thank you so much for these kind words. We will share this with the team at the home who will be thrilled to receive such positive feedback. We are hugely proud of our St Catherine's team.
All the staff, including the cleaners and kitchen staff, go above and beyond for the residents, whether it be sitting with them, making a separate meal of their choice, or giving their room that deep clean. They all work well as a team and it is clean to see by all that St Caths is a family and is very well led by management.
Residents are happy with daily activities on offer and a lovely outside area within easy access.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will pass this on to the team at the home who will be thrilled with the amazing feedback.
Thank you for making my Dad's last days feel as special and caring as his life had been. Thank you with all my heart from my Mum and I.
Thank you so much for the kind and positive review. I will share this with the team at the home who will be thrilled to receive such amazing praise for the work they do which we are so proud of. We agree it's a really great team!
The atmosphere is warm and caring.
Activity days are excellent, and it's so nice to see the residents enjoying themselves.
There is always something going on, and one lady does all out to think of different activities to keep the residents entertained.
We, as a family, feel very lucky to have this place.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I will make sure this is shared with the team at the home.
My Dad moved here in July and we are so happy with the home. He is being cared for properly for the first time in years. The staff are happy and friendly and listen if you have any concerns and go out of their way to make the residents happy. The atmosphere is energetic and you feel welcome as a relative when you visit. The other residents' relatives have all become friends and they will talk to my dad if I’m not there. The manager, office staff, nurses, carers, activity coordinator, kitchen staff, housekeepers and the maintenance person all spend time with my dad and help care for him. It isn’t just the carers, it’s a shared responsibility of all the staff that the residents are well-looked after. The events that the activity coordinator organises are brilliant and families are encouraged to join in. I’m so glad we found St Catherine’s.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are really proud of the team at St Catherine's and will share your amazing feedback with them all.
The staff provide an excellent service and support to my mum; she has nothing but praise for them all.
The staff at St Catherine's provide an excellent care service. They are dedicated to their jobs and treat all the residents as if they were their own family. The level of support to both residents and family is first class. Special mention to the manager and her team, who are wonderful - thank you for all you do.
