Sadly, my partner had a very bad stroke and it left her paralyzed on one side. She cannot speak and has to be fed through a tube. With all the complications, it was a constant worry, but since she moved into Walton House, life has been a lot better. I've found the staff and nurses to be very helpful
and understanding, my partner is happy. Care staff and nurses take a time-out to talk to her and get her involved in any activities, she's well looked after and they always put my mind at rest knowing she is safe and looked after is a big weight off my mind. Especially during these covid times, all the staff are very kind and polite, my only regret is that I never got her in sooner. It's been a godsend to get her into Walton House, and I would highly recommend this care home.

Thanks to all at Walton House for the care programme they gave my Dad recently. These have been extremely difficult times for all; Walton House handled everything professionally and gave the best care possible to my Dad.

My mum has lived here for almost two years and I have always been happy with her care. Up until lockdown my dad lived in a different home but visited regularly. Over the summer it has been difficult visiting mum but my dad was completely cut off from her. He has now moved to Walton House to be with
her and is settling well. The staff are lovely and supportive and I am happy knowing my parents are together again. My dad tells me that the food is good too which is always a bonus.

I'm delighted with the care shown to Mum by Walton House throughout the coronavirus pandemic. This has been an incredibly difficult and upsetting time for us all, and it's been very clear to me that despite incredibly challenging circumstances within Walton House, the team there have done absolutely
everything they could to keep Mum and all of the resident's spirits and hopes high. Outstanding care!

My mother had dementia and after a fall (breaking her hip) she was unable to stand. She lived in her bed. The staff at Walton House were kind to her. She was kept clean and comfortable. The staff were also kind and pleasant to me. Thanks to the nurse on night duty who phoned me and allowed me to be
with my mother as she passed away.

I have visited several care homes but the care that was given to a relative was outstanding. All the staff are friendly and genuinely care for the service users. They are so kind and gentle when attending to the person in there care.

I, like most people looking for a nursing home, didn't arrive at the decision where mum should stay lightly. I found the care my mum received whilst she was in this home to be faultless. Any requests I had regarding the care of mum were undertaken and the carers/staff were eager to oblige in whatever
way they could to make mum as comfortable as possible. I was allowed/encouraged to take mums personnel items in for her which in her short stay there were much appreciated. You can visit as often as you wish and at any time which was a blessing. I felt that all the people at Walton House actually cared about my mum that she wasn't just a resident. I also found there to be plenty of staff always on duty.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone - my only regret is that I didn't get mum in there earlier.

What a wonderful are home Walton House Nursing Home is shame there aren't more places like this. First class care from nurses, carers and kitchen staff who looked after our brother-in-law with kindness and excellent care until he passed away. Hope all the staff get praise for their work. Thank you

My mother was cared for very well. She was there for 15 months and all her nursing and care needs were met.
Although I visited my mum on a regular basis and so did other family members, we were always contacted if need be.
All the staff were approachable and very friendly.

My mother in law has been treated like the carers own mother. Staff have been gentle, kind, social and my mother in law enjoyed the films, singing songs around the piano and the many themed days and shows.
Our family have been made very welcome and always been offered tea, coffee etc.
We have been
shown so much kindness and support during her stay and final days when nothing was too much to ask for. We were extremely grateful and will never forget the tender care that she received which allowed us to have total confidence that all her needs were met.

My wife and I are/were overwhelmed by the kindness and professionalism shown by the staff at Walton House. My relative (sister) was terminally ill and died in Walton House but from the minute she moved in, it felt as though a huge burden and worry had been lifted from the family because we knew the
staff were professional and competent but more importantly kind to both the resident and their families. I recommend Walton House without reservation - nothing was too much trouble for them and they delivered a difficult service with compassion and importantly too, a smile.

My father moved into Walton House in summer as a very frail, poorly man, he had made the decision himself as he struggled at home, he had resisted moving into care as long as possible as he worried with so much bad publicity around care homes. He settled into Walton House and often commented how well
he was being looked after, the staff were all very nice. He also enjoyed the food which was a varied menu. From the families point of view the home gave excellent care. All the staff were friendly to visitors and the residents and treated each one with dignity. We knew dad was receiving excellent care and was safe. We visited many care homes before settling for Walton House and knew as soon as we looked around it was the right place for dad. Thank you.

Janet has worked her way up through the ranks from care assistant, qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2006 and onto Matron/Manager in 2013. Janet is responsible for the smooth running of our home and is available Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm and any other time by appointment.
