Because of the caring staff since my mum moved into the home she is now interacting with staff and residents on a daily basis in a very happy and settled way. When she first moved in, she hardly got out of bed and was mostly anxious, with a lot of panic attacks, but because of the extremely caring staff and their perseverance, my mum is now in a really good place, mentally, even though she has dementia. One more thing, all the staff are really friendly and always happy to answer any questions.

Everyone at the home have been kind, caring and considerate. They looked after our Dad during his final weeks. They made him comfortable and kept him safe and calm. The communication with us was excellent. They could not have done anymore we are forever grateful for all they did.

My father is very well looked after at this nursing home, and as a family, we are incredibly grateful for the care and support he receives every day. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and professional. They take the time to speak to us and keep us informed, which is very reassuring. The environment is always warm and clean, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. He is well cared for and we are extremely thankful for the dedication and hard work of everyone there. We would highly recommend this nursing home to other families.

Dad was made to feel welcome from the moment he arrived. He was offered a larger ensuite room as he needed more room. He enjoys the food and staff check on him frequently. As with most care homes staffing levels are lower at night and weekends which can sometimes lead to slower response/assistance. Overall it is comfortable, clean and welcoming and we feel reassured any issues are resolved quickly.

My mum has been staying at Walton House for around 14 months while she needed nursing care during cancer treatment. The care she has had here has been of the very highest standard, all the staff have been fantastic with her. She has been treated with dignity, the highest levels of compassion and care of all times. I cannot speak highly enough everyone at the nursing home.

Comfortable, well fed, lovely staff, nice view, easy to use TV control, suitable very comfy bed. Laundry done.

The care at Walton House is extremely good. All the staff are very skilled caring, the home is very clean and all residents are treated with the highest degree of respect.

Everything is alright there are few things I'm not happy about and It's expensive.

My mum has been a resident at Walton House for just over 2 years and we cannot fault the home. All the staff are lovely and the care she receives is second to none, always treated with respect and dignity and everyone is super friendly too. When visiting we are made to feel welcome no matter what time of day and staff are always on hand should we have any questions. Would not hesitate in recommending Walton House to anyone looking for a nursing home.

Made life easier for me seeing my father pass away

My dad is currently in The Grove on one to one care. The carers are absolutely amazing with him, always kind, caring and I feel they treat him like family. Whoever interviews for new team members certainly has a talent for finding the loveliest staff for every role. I cannot fault how he is treated and cared for.

My lovely Mum needed Nursing Home care after multiple strokes. We felt so lucky to find Walton House. Mum was transferred from hospital at the end of Dec 2024 to a lovely room. My sister and I were able to make it like home for her and put up Xmas decs. From day one, all staff were so kind and caring to Mum and to all of our family. In the last few weeks of Mum's life during Jan 2025, I used to wake up at 3am and want to be with her, so went to Walton House to hold her hand. I'd be sitting with Mum and a cup of tea would appear next to me! There would always be hugs and kind words. I saw the care for my Mum and the other residents across 24 hours; it was always exceptional. Compassion, dignity, care and professionalism were demonstrated by all the nurses, carers, catering staff, cleaning staff, laundry staff, the activities lady. Its such a big and scary decision to select the best care for loved ones. On meeting the Manager and looking round we knew it would be perfect for Mum

Our mother has been living at The Grove for almost 2 years until her death in August. The staff cared for her with the dignity and respect she deserved. The staff were friendly and treated us with respect and supported us through the difficult times. The home is clean and well maintained, the grounds and gardens well kept. Mum sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago and the care and support given at this time was exemplary, not only to mum but to us as well. Thank you.

Walton House provided excellent care for dad. We are so grateful that he spent his last days there. Thank you.

I was heartbroken when I was told my husband needed 24/7 nursing care and that I couldn't manage anymore. I had visited The Grove on several occasions, with a friend who was visiting her mother, and we had always found it very welcoming. When my husband moved in, the staff were amazing, the home is clean and always smells fresh, he is treated with dignity and respect in the most friendly but professional manner, he has a choice of food every day prepared by the home's own chef. I can't thank The Grove enough for the way they have looked after him.

The staff at The Grove not only looked after my mother-in-law, they also looked after our family. Being kind and caring and showing nothing but love for my mother-in-law.

My mother arrived at The Grove in January 2023. After spending 17 years in a home which closed down. We never thought my mother would settle in. However she did not just settle in she thrived. This was due to the kind, caring staff who treated her like a queen. My mother absolutely loved her time at The Grove. My mother knew everyone, she knew about their families and every one had time for my mother, and this from the manager at the top to the washer lady! The grove staff not only showed kindness to my mother but also to all our family members and I will be forever grateful.

Well what can I say as they have look after my gran for about 3 years after moving from her old nursing home after it closed and the help her settle in and she made some good friends on the way staff and residents. She knew the staff by name as they help her come out of her shell. The care was really good even more when it came to the end of life the staff all help her to the best that they could.

My Grandma was cared for like she was a member of The Groves own family. Caring and compassionate but with genuine love and laughter. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Meal selection was excellent and catered for individual need, my Grandma asked for 'Eggs Benedict' during the last days of her life, and this is exactly what she got. All of the staff are beyond excellent, staff delivering direct care, cleaners, cooks, entertainment and management. You'll never understand the impact you can make. My Grandma was genuinely loved by all of the staff and she whole heartedly loved you back. If I could recommend you a million times over, I would. Thank you will never be enough.
