My family and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and support which my mother has received from all the staff during the eighteen months she has so far been a resident at Brandreth Lodge, especially during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Very pleased with the changes at Brandreth. Home smells better and looks cleaner and tidier. Everyone is so welcoming on your arrival and departure. I have no concerns about my mother’s care and can settle knowing she’s getting good care which is something I haven’t been able to do for a very long time.

I am very pleased with the home. The staff are very caring and the food is excellent. Improvements are being made all the time and I feel very confident about the future.
Naturally, there are always problems cropping up - but they are always dealt with efficiently.

The staff are very professional and caring but the home is not suitable for residential care and should only be for nursing care.
Unfortunately it does not have the facilities to stimulate early dementia and poor sighted residents as not a lot of activities to keep their mind active and them mobile.
The manager also over promised and under delivered. Be realistic with your residents and their families about facilities and resources.

My father has been a resident in this home for four years.
He has a comfortable room and his care needs are well met by a friendly and supportive staff.
The catering facilities are good with the majority of food being prepared by an excellent cook.
A variety of activities are arranged to encourage
residents to socialise.
Some of the rooms are in need of redecorating though it is recognised new owners are slowly making positive improvements.
Reply from Rachel Wickenden, Operations Manager at Brandreth Lodge Care Home

Thank you for your review of Brandreth Lodge, We are really pleased your father is settled at the home. The new owners are continuing to redecorate and complete the home to a very high standard. Any suggestions on how to improve are always very welcome.

Very pleasant environment in a good setting of Parbold. A very warming feel to the home and friendliness of staff was excellent. The manager was extremely helpful and supportive and took great pride and affection towards providing excellent care.
