Staff are friendly & helpful.
Very "comfortable" atmosphere.
Did not have anything to eat or drink, but lunch for Residents looked excellent!!
Do not know how much it is to stay!!
Overall we find Courtfield Lodge a good home. Reception is very helpful. Senior management 1 & 2 are approachable & listen & respect the points being made. My mum is happy & well cared for. The carers always seem attentive & efficient. In my opinion it would be helpful if there were more cleaning staff although the home has improved! Mum is happy with her meals although more variety would be helpful.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are pleased to hear that your mum is happy and well cared for, and we appreciate your feedback regarding cleaning staff and meal variety. We will communicate this to our team as we strive to provide quality care with respect and support for all our residents.
Mum has been in Courtfield Lodge since July 2025. Overall the care is excellent and she settled really quickly. The rooms are nice, maybe needs painting walls etc. The staff are so nice & kind both carers & admin. Very quick to contact you if there is a problem. I would highly recommend Courtfield Lodge.
Thank you for your kind words about the excellent care our residents receive at Courtfield Lodge. We appreciate your feedback regarding the room decor and will consider improvements. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we will share your positive comments with our team as we continue to uphold our commitment to quality and respect.
I find the staff's care and attention for Mike is excellent. If I have ever had any minor issues, it is dealt wtih quickly & professionally.
My sister moved here from another carehome which could never match this beautiful home she is now in. Ive been to visit her twice and each time I have been welcomed so much by every member of staff. There are so many staff it is so reassuring that residents are not left waiting for someone if they need something. Staff are do attentive at all times. So much going on for the residents every day. Staff always seem as happy as the residents. The place is so clean doesn't smell like some other carehomes that you pay a fortune for. The food is beautiful my sister eats everything because she enjoys it. She has settled so well there and her room is beautiful so clean. I am booking my place here for when I need a carehome as they do care. It really is like a hotel
When I come into the home, it's very warm and friendly. Always clean and tidy in the home. The manager and staff are so friendly. The food is very nice. Mum's room is always kept tidy.
Thank you very much for your review and ratings, they are both very much appreciated. Kind regards
My mum has been a resident for nine months. She tells me the staff are lovely, she is happy and comfortable. There has been a significant improvement in the communal rooms and general accommodation following cleaning and redecoration, which has made a big difference to staff, residents and visitors. The residents are well cared for, enjoy their meal times and mix with each other. The staff are well presented and welcoming, and they support all residents with their individual needs.
Thank you very much for writing a review for Courtfield Lodge. As you have pointed out the home refurbishment is moving along nicely and this has certainly enhanced the corridors and lounges, but we are not finished yet. Thank you for mentioning the team at the home, they work so hard and are dedicated to their residents, it is appreciated. Kind regards
Both my parents have been at Courtfield lodge for over 6 months. I (and they) are extremely happy with the care that they are receiving. All the staff are wonderful and seem to do everything that they can to provide their residents with as compassionate experience as possible.
Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to review Courtfield Lodge, both your ratings and comments are very much appreciated. Kind regards
My wife is currently in full-time care at Courtfield Lodge. The management and staff are so helpful and caring. They are providing for all of my wife's needs. Coping with dementia is very hard indeed on myself and family, but at Courtfield Lodge, they are all so professional in attending to my wife's needs. Staff constantly monitor patients from sleeping, eating and activities etc. My wife is in a safe environment being cared for by loving, caring and professional staff and management. Entertainment each week, singing and dancing, hairdresser. Thanks to all at Courtfield Lodge for your care provided to my wife.

After being very ill, the staff and management have given me the utmost care, building my strength and confidence. Staying here makes me feel safe and enabled me to progress with my mobility. I recently had a relapse and if it had not been the diligence of the staff and professionalism, I don't think I would be alive today.
Thank you for your lovely words of recognition for the team here at Courtfield Lodge. It is so heartening to hear that you are feeling safe and happy with the high level of care and support we strive to provide. Thank you for your honest and thoughtful feedback, we appreciate every word. Thank You.
Mum has been a resident for approximately 18 months. During this time I can honestly say that the care she has received has been excellent. The senior carers and all teh staff on the 1st floor are friendly, welcoming and treat Mum with dignity at all times. They know my mum's little quirks and treat her as an individual rather than simply another resident. Her room is always kept clean and Mum always looks well turned out. A huge thank you to all the staff, cleaners, admin team and the management.
Thank you for your warm words and lovely review. We are so glad we can provide your mum with the high level of care we strive for at Courtfield. I will be sure to let the team know how highly you have rated our service. Thank you.
After moving Mum from another care home I've come to realise that strong management and genuinely kind carers are key to Mum's happiness and our peace of mind. Courtfield has this and more so we are very pleased with their care for Mum.
Thank you for your lovely comments, it is wonderful to hear how happy your mum is at Courtfield Lodge. I will share your kind review with the manager and all the team.
Deciding on the care home option, let alone finding a good one, was very stressful for us. However, what a great decision it was to choose Courtfield Lodge! Accommodation: clean, spacious and bright rooms with newly refitted en-suite wet rooms. Laminate flooring throughout, no smelly carpets. Food: good choice, beautifully presented and most importantly, tastes ‘superb’ according to Mum. Care: the staff could not have done more. Mum immediately felt welcome and was treated as an individual. We were surprised at her new lease of life on entering Courtfield Lodge, all smiles again, enjoying the entertainment and the company of staff and residents. When she became ill, the staff were quick to get medical advice and hospital admittance. She returned for end of life care and the staff were so kind, attentive and professional. Good value: calculating what we paid for carers, meals, laundry, etc., in her own home, Mum got 24 hour care for not much more. Importantly, real peace of mind for us too.
Thank you for your five star review. We understand how stressful it is finding the right care home for a loved one. It is wonderful to hear how happy you were with the care and support provided by all the team at Courtfield Lodge and more importantly, how happy your mum was and the new lease of life she gained. I will share your lovely comments with all the team.
The staff here have been so welcoming to my brother and to me. I am amazed at how well he has settled in and how he has responded to their care.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. It is lovely to hear how quickly your brother has settled into life in the home. I will share your comments with all the team.
My mum came into Courtfield Lodge five years ago, she was very volatile at the time and she passed recently in a calm and peaceful manner because of the care and love she has received from the staff at Courtfield. The staff are literally angels with the patience of saints and I cannot thank them enough for making my mum's last years so good. Every area of staffing is excellent at Courtfield the cleaners, gardeners and last but not least the nursing staff. Every one of them always has a smile on their face as they look after the patients, they bring a smile to Mum's face every time they come into the room and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for her and for us. Putting a parent into a care home felt like a failure but once we saw how well she was looked after we knew we had made the right choice and have never regretted it. So thank you to all the staff for making my mother's last years so much better than they could have been. We will always be grateful.
Thank you for the lovely review for Courtfield Lodge at what must be a difficult time for you. It is wonderful to hear how happy your mum was at the home and how caring and kind all the team are. We know how difficult it is for families taking the difficult decision to put a loved one in a care...
Had to find a care home for my Dad quickly. Visited many in the area and picked Courtfield Lodge for its excellent manager, warm welcoming feel and future improvements being made to the building. Since Dad arrived, his care has been brilliant. The senior staff are amazing, organising Dad's needs. Carers are so kind and friendly, taking time to help Dad. I am more than happy with the care.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. It is wonderful to hear how pleased you are with the kind and friendly care your dad is receiving. The manager and the team work hard to ensure Courtfield Lodge is warm and welcoming as well as delivering person-centred care to residents. I will share your comments with the team.
There is a large turnover of staff due to the nature of the work on offer and this being at the lower end of the labour market, this is not unique to Courtfield.
In general, taking everything into consideration, Courtfield Lodge performs ok with the resources available.
Thank you for taking the time to review Courtfield Lodge. It is wonderful to receive comments about the improved quality of care at the home since the We Care Group took over the home. We are working hard to improve the quality of life of our residents and create a great working environment for the staff. I will share your comments with the team.
A massive improvement since the new manager has taken over and appointed a new activity coordinator. We are enjoying the social media page for the home and keeping everyone updated finally. Please keep up the great work.
Thanks for your lovely review. We are pleased to hear how happy you are with the massive improvements that the new manager has implemented together with the appointment of a new Activities Co-ordinator who is doing a great job to provide stimulating activities to support the physical and mental well-being of residents while keeping families updated on what is going on in the home.
Courtfield Lodge is excellent. All the staff are so warm, helpful and very caring to all the residents. The manager is so helpful and acted immediately to any concerns we had as mum found it hard, in the beginning, to settle in. We live down south and so find it hard to visit on a regular basis so the activities coordinator has been so helpful in setting up zoom calls to our mum on a regular basis, which mum and ourselves absolutely love. We highly recommend sending your loved ones here.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are really pleased to hear about the excellent care your mum is receiving and how everyone in the home has worked to help her settle in. It is lovely to hear that you are having regular Zoom calls with your mum, which must be so reassuring for all the family living so far away. I will share your wonderful comments with all the team.
