Amazing friendly, fun place. Lots of activities going on which is great for the residents. They really care about the people they look after. Love the bright colour schemes. It is great peace of mind knowing mum is happy and safe. Well done Freckleton keep up the good work.

High-quality care home with friendly and efficient staff. The moment you walk in, you notice a pristine, clean environment with comfortable lounges and bedrooms. My 94-year-old Mum has been here now for 30 months and I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the love, care and attention toward
her.

Friendly, polite and very helpful staff. The love and care offered by the staff is outstanding. The entertainment given is of a very good standard which is obviously enjoyed by many. It is good to watch some of the Facebook videos of the musical sessions which are held at Freckleton Lodge. The home
is always clean and the grounds are well tended.

My brother has dementia and l am very pleased that he is being looked after by Freckleton Lodge, the staff are so friendly. They are always smiling and include all residents in a very caring manner. The home is always adding new things to stimulate the residents and frequently have people coming in
to entertain them. The staff also arrange outings and walks. My brother seems very happy and they always make him laugh. This is a great place to stay

The home is friendly and welcoming. Residents move around between the beautifully decorated lounges and there is a feeling of freedom and friendliness throughout. The staff are always available and encouraging.
My aunt is very happy staying in Freckleton Lodge. She loves being free to go out into
the garden in the warm weather and enjoys all the activities that are arranged. The live music and outings are so stimulating. I can phone up and speak to her at any time and staff always find time to fetch her to the phone.
Freckleton Lodge provides the sort of environment that I would hope will be available to me, if I ever need to go into care.

My aunt has been in Freckleton Lodge for 10 months. She is extremely happy and in her own words says the staff are lovely. Her room is cosy and the main rooms are beautifully decorated and stimulating. Recently a quiet reading area has been created and a few hens and tortoises introduced for the guests
to help care for. I have lost track of all the activities and parties. There is a live band every week which involves singing and dancing. There has been a Halloween party, a switching on of the Christmas lights party and that's before we get to the main Christmas events! I think my auntie has done more varied activities in the home than she has done for years. Playing musical instruments and drawing. But all that would be of little value if the care was not up to standard. The care she receives is excellent. Staff take the time to sit with her when she gets a bit weepy and they are all so cheery and positive. I can feel confident that she is happy, safe and treated with dignity.

This home is so inviting and you are welcomed as soon as you ring the bell. The staff are so caring and there are no favourite residents all are treated the same. Everyone is so happy. Frequent entertainment is always on the agenda. I cannot find one wrong word to say about this home.
If there is a
problem one word to the manageress and it's sorted. I would give this home 5 stars.

My Grandma has been at Freckleton Lodge for about 8 months and I am simply amazed at the level of care continuously demonstrated. The aesthetics of the interior is bright, clean and fresh with lots of stimuli – and different rooms for the residents to rest in or enjoy activities. The activities arranged
are fantastic with regular music, dancing and live entertainment. But above all – and the icing on the cake – are the staff. Not just one or two - all of them are the most wonderful caring, happy people you could ever wish for looking after your relatives. They are utterly professional, always showing dignity to the residents but at the same time are fun and seem to love their jobs.

I can only hope - that if I ever need to be placed in a care home - I am put here – with the same staff, care and stimulus as is available today.

My mother has been a resident since January 2016, she was admitted from hospital and had been very poorly. The care she received from Freckleton Lodge meant that she improved from day one. She is very happy and settled. From my point of view it feels like a home from home when I visit, the staff are
always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend to anyone.

My mum describes Freckleton Lodge as a " marvellous place" . She is extremely happy here. From the moment you enter you get a warm friendly, caring vibe. The staff are excellent and really care, adding little touches like putting a Christmas tree and advent calendar in everyone's room . They provide
a wide selection of activities . It's such a relief to know my mum is so well cared for.

The care home is by far the best I have come across. Staff are warm and caring and have helped my mum to recover significantly over a few weeks. The rooms are ideal with small en-suite, the overall persona is friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of planned fun social events which aids recovery.
My mum loves being there and the family are glad she has settled in so smoothly. It should be used as an example to many other care homes to bring up the standards that are sadly lacking in the vast majority.

First visit to visit my sister and on arrival we were met with friendly staff who did not know we were visiting. There were five members of the family visiting at the same time. We all were offered refreshments and taken to a beautiful garden, other residents were sat out with sun hats provided for
the older people.
Amazingly decorated communal facilities, bedroom tastefully furnished, had a warm welcoming chat with staff re my sisters health and needs. The home was spotless and very tidy. Good choice of food for residents.

Many thanks and well done to all the staff.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.449)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.449) out of 10 for Freckleton Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.674 for Freckleton Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (96 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 132 Ratings = 4.674
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Freckleton Lodge is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 28 registered maximum number of service users is 5.6, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
