Mum became a resident after being placed there by social services, following a fall and from day 1, the staff have been outstanding in the personal care shown to Mum. We are kept fully informed on how she is getting on and always made to feel welcome on our visits. She couldn't be in a better place.
I am so impressed with Anna and her care home. It is exceptional. Thank you to all involved.
She is so happy and enjoys all the activities and organised trips .
The staff and managers are Excellent and go well beyond to make life in the home a more personal experience 5 star
Everything appears very good in all respects.
The staff are extremely friendly and the home is very well run. I appreciate the difficulties the staff must have caring for individuals with complex needs, however, they do it with a smile and with professionalism. Mum and dad's bedroom was decorated as soon as they arrived, it is homely and clean and the care offered is great, even though they don't always appreciate it! I have peace of mind that they are well looked after.
Thank you for your kind comments. It is always nice for the staff to receive positive feedback for their hardwork and dedication.
Is very good and nice staff to talk to and does excellent care needed to be done. They are very supportive to me and play activities and get us involved in lot more stuff. Where the care home is they nice area and the local church is good for me.
When I have visited my cousin I have been welcomed by the staff with a smile. They are all very pleasant and the management are always helpful. What I am impressed with is the cleanliness and the caring way the staff treat the residents.
My husband has daycare three times a week. He is well looked after from the staff. We are both made to feel very welcomed into the home. I feel comfortable leaving my husband in their care.
My mother is extremely well looked after. I am always welcomed into the home. the staff and manager are always kind and caring. I feel very comfortable leaving my mother at Headroomgate.
The staff make this place. My mother was very well looked after and treated with dignity and respect. All the staff we met were helpful and positive. There was plenty of food and brews provided and my mother came out looking in better shape than when she went in. Looked to us like the staff tried hard to entertain the residents as well. Overall the team did a great job.
Thank you for your review. It is great to have such lovely feedback. It is good for the staff to be praised for the hard work they do.
My experience at this care home is an eye-opener. The staff and owners are alright and professional.
Reasonable accommodation and well-trained and attentive staff. Any problems are quickly addressed, and wherever sorted out for the residents. The home is clean and well looked after and changes made to keep it up-to-date and pleasant for both residents, their families and others who may visit them.
Thank you for taking the time to review the home and for your feedback. It is much appreciated.
The staff and management have been wonderful to dad. They eventually got him up and about and mobile enough for him to go back home.
I don't want to mention anyone by name in case I miss someone out. It can't have been easy trying to look after a 95 year old that thinks he is 55.
My thanks to you all.
Thank you management and staff for your loving care and attention.
Thank you for you feedback and your lovely comments. We will share your review with the staff team.
My mum has dementia and when I visit it is very reassuring to see that she is settled, happy and well looked after. Would recommend Headroomgate Care Home to anyone in a similar position.
My mum aged 92 years old has been a resident at Headroomgate Care Home for a few weeks now. Initially, it was a temporary stay but needs must it's now permanent. Her care has been exceptional in all areas of need. She has been treated with respect and patience allowing her to maintain her dignity at a time of huge changes in circumstances. Full Mark's to the manager and her team for whom nothing seems too much trouble.
Thank you for taking the time to review Headroomgate Care Home. Your comments are much appreciated.
My Dad is a resident here and has been for years. He has a condition called Korsakoff syndrome, which is a chronic memory disorder caused by a severe deficiency of thiamine (vitamin B-1). He does remember his family and is very familiar with the staff at his residence. He is happy and his confidence has progressed over the years, coming out of his room and joining in games and socialising more and more. We, the family can talk to the staff at any time, we communicate very well at regular intervals. We are very happy. The staff are amazing at Headroomgate Care Home. Well done to all the staff.
The recent covid-19 has been a real worry and concern for her wellbeing. The staff have used PPE at the expense of the home and any deaths within the home have been as a result of the government's failure to provide covid testing for residents and staff. The staff have been heroic during a very difficult time. My aunty has a major birthday coming up shortly and I am confident that she will love to see it as a result of the sacrifices made by staff and fellow residents. A caring home which I can fully recommend.
A few issues have arisen and these have been dealt with to my satisfaction on the whole.
Recently my father's room was changed and I was notified, however, on 2 other occasions I was not and hope to pursue this.
The home is cheerful and accessible for residents and their friends and family. I am not sure about taking part in regular activities to assist in the keeping of healthy, active and fun things to do.
We have an activity coordinator at the home who provides regular person-centred activities. We also have regular entertainers that come to the home to provide entertainment. We also take the residents out for meals in the local area. Residents can choose whether they wish to participate in the...
