Headroomgate is situated in a quiet residential area of St Annes approximately five minutes from St Annes Square.

The home is conveniently located for the local shops and the promenade. The home provides care for just 19 ladies and gentlemen. The home has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The home has a large lounge on the ground floor, which has a beautiful large bay window from which the residents can relax and enjoy the views of the garden and watch the passers-by. The home has a large spacious dining room on the ground floor which is tastefully decorated. Both rooms have an original fireplace and a feature coal effect fire which gives the room a traditional cosy feel.

The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard. Residents can bring personal items and small items of furniture to personalise the bedroom. The home has both a shower and a bath, which are fitted with facilities to make them suitable for those residents with mobility difficulties. All bedrooms are easily accessible via the four-person passenger lift.

A choice of menu is available at each meal. Special diets can be catered for. Each meal is freshly prepared using only the finest ingredients. The menu is both wholesome and varied, providing a well-balanced diet.

There is a beautiful secure garden at the front of the home which provides a safe place for the residents to enjoy. There is also a secure decked area, furnished with table and chairs, where during the summer months, the residents can enjoy the sunshine and the breath-taking sea air. The decking can be easily accessed from the dining room.
The team use a digital care planning tool to create person centred care plans for each resident.

A varied activities programme is provided including regular entertainers, trips out and crafts. The home provides person-centred activities that are tailored to each individual resident.

My friend suffers from severe dementia and the carers at Headroomgate nursing home care for her very well. When I visit she is always clean and dressed nicely.

Headroomgate is an excellent care home. My mum, who has severe Alzheimer's disease has received the best of care from a professional and attentive staff team. This provides us with peace of mind that she is well looked after, comfortable and safe. The home is friendly and welcoming. The ratio of staff
to residents is also good.

The activities are much improved now that we have a new activities chap, I love playing dominoes and cards with the other residents. I used to stay in my room but now I mix with other residents and staff as they are all friendly.
