Oaklands Nursing Home

I had a very difficult choice to make, I came to reduce I could no longer care for my husband and had looked at so many homes, Oaklands being one of the last, I so wish it would have been the first I was given so much information and felt listened to, the home has recently had a re-decoration and it's lovely, I feel reassured that he is in the best place with the best care.

Staff are very good they care and show compassion. I join in care fist as part of my rehabiliation and staff always there to encourage me. Treated with dignity and respect at all times. Management always listen. I enjoy living here and am encouraged with my rehab.

I could not ask for any better care, from manager to cleaner. Everyone has time to speak to you, loving the improvements of deco/was dated.

Mum has been at Oaklands Nursing Home for 3 months now and has settled in really well. The whole team are amazing from management to housekeepers - everyone genuinely cares and shows such compassion and empathy. Residents are kept busy with lots of activities and the food is lovely. I wouldn't want my mum anywhere else.

Visitors are warmly received even when the timing could be better

My sister-in-law has been in 'Oaklands' just over 3 weeks. During this time she has said that she feels safe and the staff who have been looking after her are very kind to her. She had to go to a hospital appointment last week. I would like to thank the management and staff for organising the transport and providing a member of staff to accompany her. She said that the member of staff was lovely and very kind to her. Thanks also to the staff for answering any questions we have asked when visiting and keeping us informed immediately when there was a change of date for a clinic appointment and reassured us that it would be organised by them. As we live a very long way away this is very much appreciated.

My uncle had to move into a home and Oaklands was recommended. As a family, we are very happy with the care received. Everyone is brilliant, couldn't fault a thing.

My mother has been living at Oaklands since July 2025. I have always found the home staff to be warm, respectful, welcoming and a hive of activity going on. The staff can't do enough for my mother, taking her out to local events, parks, cafes and shops. The management are readily available to help solve any minor issues if they arise. It's a wonderful place and I am so pleased we managed to get her in at Oaklands.

Rooms are a bit tight when using hoist. He enjoys the entertainment. Staff are friendly. Dad has no concerns either.

The staff are always visible and on hand if I need to ask them anything and they always have the time to talk even when I ring them. The day room which she sits in is lovely and bright and nicely decorated and the few times I have been to her bedroom it's always tidy. I receive emails with updates on her spending money, monthly events and any issues I need to know about. Thank you to all the staff at Oaklands it puts my mind at ease to know she is settled there.

It's put my faith back into care homes & we thank you so very much for everything u do.

Great care/nursing home, fantastic staff, lots of activities for everyone, food excellent, very clean environment, management extremely courteous to everyone, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oaklands to anyone.

The staff and carers are so welcoming and friendly and make you feel so homely, my ad has come a long way thanks to them honestly the best. The location is well suitable to our needs and even the residents there are so friendly and allway smiling away bless them.

We can't ask for anything more.

Our Dad & Grandad lived at Oaklands for over 2 years. Sadly he passed away a few days ago. I cannot speak highly enough about the care given to him over the years and months. Everyone has been fantastic, culminating in the delicate care, concern and the dignity afforded to his family in his last days and hours. Thank you soooo much to every member of Oaklands staff!

My father has been at Oaklands Nursing Home for nearly 1 year and he's settled in really well. The home is always clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are excellent and there are numerous activities to keep everyone interested and stimulated. It's so reassuring to know that after my visits, my father is safe, happy and with his friends. I really wouldn't want my father to be anywhere else.

I can't fault Oaklands Nursing Home and it's staff. My dads a stubborn and proud man who strives for independence and while that's not always possible for him Oaklands offer him patience, understanding and his dignity.

The care home was excellent, very caring and friendly staff. Management of the care home were absolutely brilliant, can't thank them enough for the care my husband received. It was like he was in a 5-star hotel not a care home, would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of care for a relative or partner.

My mum was sent to Oaklands Nursing Home from Burnley General it was not chosen by the family. I have worked in care homes earlier in my life and I can't say how pleased I was when I first went in to visit Mum. I knew it was going to be good for Mum and her needs the place was lovely and clean always and the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble and they treated you like old friends. I was worried that at one point they might have moved mum nearer to home but thankfully she got to stay and I couldn't thank them enough for the care and understanding they gave my mum.
