Overall Experience

Dad went straight from the hospital to Peel Gardens. It took a couple of weeks for him to settle in, but during that time, the staff did everything they could to assist and wherever possible accommodated all his requests. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Sadly he passed away after only 6-weeks, but I am comforted knowing he was well cared for and the staff took time to chat with him and were always on hand should he need anything. Thank you Peel Gardens.

Some staff are excellent, some are good, some are OK. Most are good. Grandma has been in 1 week and seems OK, if a little lost. It would be good to have more staff chat about her well being and establish her personality a bit more. That said, she is well looked after, clean and very safe, without being restricted.

Dear Laura, thank you for your kind words about our team and home. I will be sure to pass this feedback onto the team and home manager as we want our residents to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible, as after all, it is now your Grandma's home. Best wishes.

My wife has a pleasant, bright room with ensuite toilet. Staff are friendly, caring and respectful of her. The manager and assistant manager are approachable and readily available if there are any queries about my wife's care. The home is well-appointed with regard to lounges, dining rooms, bathrooms etc. My knowledge of the food is very slight but it appears to be good and my wife is happy with it.

Having had my father in an unacceptable nursing home for a couple of months before moving him to Peel Gardens, I have never appreciated the way he is looked after and treated more. Peel Gardens are amazing. The staff are great, caring and have the patience my father requires.

I am thrilled I had the opportunity to move him here.

Review from Ann T (Niece of Resident) published on 14 March 2019 Submitted via Postal Card

My aunt lived at Peel Gardens for 18 months. The care she received from the nursing staff and carers was absolutely excellent. I couldn't find fault anything. She sadly passed away in hospital last week. Today 25/02/19, I went to the home to clear her room. The staff were brilliant helping me to do this at such an emotional time. Even the staff were emotional, including the nurse. Excellent care given by all.
