Springfield Care Home is sat within picturesque award-winning landscaped gardens in a purpose-built modern home. Overlooking a stunning water feature in the garden and through the generous conservatory, the home provides specialist nursing care and high quality residential care support in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the area.

The home is situated within a short driving distance from the M6 and M61 motorways providing ideal access to Chorley, Bolton and the Lancashire and Greater Manchester areas. The home provides purpose-built accommodation standards with high levels of care with specialist equipment for high dependency requirements;

Our close family friend came to Springfield for what turned out to be end-of-life care. The staff were very kind and considerate to all his personal and other needs. Our visits were not restricted to any particular time of day or night nor to any specific duration. Nothing was too much trouble no matter
what time of day. His care and treatment were exemplary and very reassuring to us that he was getting the best.

Being a member of the nursing staff for the NHS, I have to admit, I was dubious about Grandma being placed in a care home. Thankfully, my fears were totally misplaced.
COVID has undoubtedly been a challenge for care homes, however, the Springfield Nursing home has adapted wonderfully. They have a
little outdoor building where we could visit Grandma as COVID permitted, the staff were always friendly on the phone and regularly updated us.
Unfortunately, Grandma deteriorated dramatically - the care staff and manager were amazing, we were allowed unlimited access to sit with her, they respected our wishes, and most importantly, Grandma’s to remain nursed there. She was turned regularly for pressure relief, she had regular mouth care, and most importantly, was kept very comfortable.
The staff were always on hand providing support and regular cups of tea. Grandma has since passed on, but we have nothing but praise and thanks to the care home staff. We couldn’t have cared for her any better ourselves.

I have lived here since 2012, and I am very comfortable and very well looked after. I hope to be here for a few more years because I am happy here. I could not be in a better place, and I would advise anyone to come here. This is my true opinion of Springfield Nursing Home.

The staff do their utmost to make my mothers stay as happy as possible. They do their best to meet her needs. The staff are very approachable and seem to care about the residents. They encourage people to join in and mix, but if someone wants to stay in their room, they can.

My mother in law has resided at Springfield House now for the last 9 months.
It was a hard decision to have to make but we had started to worry about her well-being and safety at home and despite the obvious telltale signs that she was not really managing, she was still of the opinion that she was
ok.
The matter was taken out of our hands when she had a fall and seriously injured her arm back in March last year.
Over the last few months, we have seen a startling change in a lady who historically would only eat certain foods (partially because she had forgotten how to cook) and had an aggressive leg ulcer to a lady who is now settled happily into Springfield House with no medical concerns and a very healthy appetite!
All the staff are very helpful and are always on hand to answer any concerns we may have with regard to my mother in law.

Springfield has a friendly atmosphere and the residents are kept clean and well cared for. The staff have done everything to make my mum-in-law as comfortable as possible and as a family, we are pleased with the care she is receiving. There are plenty of activities if residents want to get involved
- for example in December, among other things were carol singers, a Christmas fair and even a live donkey!

I have always found the staff very good in whatever role they play, but all relate with residents and visitors with great respect and dignity. Another plus is the stimulus provided with activities, singing, carpet bowls, visitors bringing animals or birds, etc which fills the common area with residents
who don't normally come there, then the garden's a great place to sit. Each resident is well cared for.

As discussed with you both individually with the Manager and in the Resident & Relative meeting held on 3rd May 2018 we are striving to reduce any unnecessary waiting for staff attendance. However, we also acknowledge that staff need to prioritise who they respond to first based on clinical need. We are monitoring buzzer response times with our internal system and this issue will be addressed at the staff meeting being held on 10th May 2018.

Very kind and friendly staff and fellow residents. All you ask for is kindness and you get this in abundance. Clean and tidy, great entertainment. Singers come in, animals, dominos, bowls, growing plants and a manager you feel you can talk to. Rooms are tidy. Thanks, you have put me at ease.

Such a wonderful experience with this home, well run by the management, carers nurses, cooks, entertainment coordinator and cleaners and laundry staff. My dad has been in the home as a resident for approx 3 weeks but everyone has put me at ease. I got shown around originally by the finance manager and
she did a good job of welcoming me and putting me at ease showing me the home and straight away I felt this home had a relaxed atmosphere.

My dad spent 9 months at Springfield House and he was extremely well cared for during that time. He was very unwell when he arrived but we were relieved to see him improve with excellent care and support.The staff team are very friendly and kind. They quickly got to know dad reassuring and encouraging
him every day. My dad was encouraged to join social events when he was well enough to do this. There are regular activities for residents to enjoy and the staff team really try to provide entertainment and celebration for special holidays. My dad spent most of his time in his bedroom due to his illness, but the staff made sure he was not isolated. His door was always open, there are speakers in the corridor conveying music from the radio and the staff would pop in whenever they were passing. My dad was so well cared for he has been able to return home. He has a big package of care to support this, but it is thanks to the wonderful care he received at Springfield House that he can do this.
