My very elderly father (103) lived at Holly Mount for the last two and a bit years of his life. The care he received in that time was excellent. Staff were unfailingly friendly, cheerful and helpful. We were always made to feel welcome when, on a regular basis, we visited him. He was always treated with respect and dignity - a person who happened to be old and in need of care, rather than just another old person. This was especially important in his last weeks when the level of care he received, from people who really did care, could not have been better.
Thank you for your kind comments, Meg. Best wishes to you and your family from all at Hollymount x
My dad has been at Hollymount for over 2 years. He needs full-time care which he gets with a smile no matter what time of day. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Patience, time and understanding is by all staff with dignity and respect in abundance. Thanks to how well he's cared for, his life has gone on longer than we ever expected. We are so grateful.
Thanks Mary - we love having your dad with us
An excellent care home, the staff are marvellous and helpful and have the ability to smile, and are very well mannered.
Well done everybody.
Thank you for your kind comments Jim
During my mother's decline to advanced dementia, the staff have been diligent, dedicated, caring and compassionate with patience I can only marvel at. I can't thank them enough.
Thank you for your kind comments.
Would like to say a big thank-you to all the staff who has looked after my mother for the past 2 years. Words can not describe how they cared my mother was during her last days. Managers of the home are very professional and know exactly how to deliver excellent service.
My mother was very happy and enjoyed the trips out especially to Fleetwood for fish and chip.
I would highly recommend this home to anybody.
I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to post a review. With best wishes to you and your family.
The staff at the home are always friendly and welcoming - they remember our names and ask about the family. They are mindful of other residents behaviours when my little girl is with me visiting. There is always a welcoming smile and they strive to keep us updated about grandma.
My Friend has lived in Hollymount for over 2 years.
The staff are very friendly.
My friend lived at a previous home before coming here and I must have to say that the difference - The staff at Hollymount DO care.
Not enough words to express how wonderful the staff are in this home. The staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The care that my relative receives is done with so much love. I am updated on regular information about my relative. I do not worry anymore because I know that he is looked after. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for their loved ones to be cared for properly.
The care and attention given to mum is first class. We are always kept well informed as to how she is. All the staff are so caring with all the family and are always ready with a smile and time for a chat. Nothing is ever too much trouble for anyone.

Meet the Team (2)

I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and been in a managerial position for over 6 years. I have worked with a range of clients, from young adults with learning difficulties and elderly clients in residential/dementia homes. I have a lot of qualifications and completed my level 5 in leadership and management, and achieved my qualification in dementia care mapping with Sterling University.
I thoroughly enjoy my work and get great satisfaction on a daily basis here at Hollymount. We are quite a big family here, and like to ensure that the home promotes equality and diversity. All support is tailored to the individual. I am passionate in improving staff knowledge which is essential to their roles which ensures they have the skills and knowledge to create the best for the organisation. Reflective practice is a huge part of my professional development, criticising my own practice is not always easy but taking a step back and taking another look at it can benefit me and my skills in improving my knowledge so I can become a role model for other staff. I like to feel that I am learning and changing as a result of all I do.
I have a 24 year old son who is very important to me and my family is paramount to me. Hollymount has my full dedication and I am looking forward to developing the service further and further improving the home.

Hi, my name is Shirley. I started as Activities Coordinator at Hollymount in 2022, prior to this I had worked at Hollymount as a care assistant.
I have had a very varied career which I feel enables me to bring a lot to the role.
I just love my role here at Hollymount and I find it very rewarding. It’s a vital part of the home and essential to the well-being of all our residents. The residents are full of character and have amazing stories to tell, I have made lots of friends and it’s great to see smiles on their faces.
