Very pleased with Mum's care and support, with lack of mobility and day to day tasks. Staff are patient and treat Mum with respect.

Mum has been a resident for nearly two years. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is very warm and happy and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit mum. I know my mum is in safe hands because my mum is looked after so well. Thank you to all the fantastic team.

Thanks for your lovely review Pam.
Lovely atmosphere, a very happy place with staff caring and very helpful. All staff always happy to help. My friend always looks smart, clean and joyful. Dementia is difficult for the loved ones, however, this home ensures that not just the residents are happy, but also the family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to make me very welcome.
Thank you for your kind comments, Pauline.
Bright and cheerful place.
Thanks for your kind comments, Tracy.
The love and care provided to Nan and myself has been outstanding. The team at Hollymount treat Nan with dignity and respect. Nan felt at home, it was the only place she would have spent her last years. Thank you to all the staff, you looked after her like she was your Nan.
Thank you Vicky, it was a great pleasure to know and care for your Nan.
Nan had been a resident for 3 years. She received thoughtful, fun and deeply compassionate care from a wonderful team.
Thank you for your lovely comments Leslie.
Superb, friendly atmosphere with plenty of activities to involve the residents. Great food and staff very professional.
Thank you for your kind comments Ian.
My mother was only in Hollymount for months rather than years but during that time, the managers and the staff all took great care of her.
The care she received was warm and personal. As her needs became greater, both with physical ailments and with dementia, Hollymount made sure that she was looked after. Their communication with family and friends was also excellent, and visits (even at short or no notice) were always accommodated well.
In summary, the care and commitment to the residents was particularly evident in the way that they helped my mother as her condition changed - it was both professional and caring in a personal sense.
Thank you for your kind comments Tony. Best wishes to you and all your family.
My friend is currently living at Hollymount Residential home. The home is welcoming and they always offer me a cup of tea.
The staff are wonderful and always have time to talk to you when you visit.
My friend loves living at Hollymount and would not want to be anywhere else
Since my mother moved to this home, we have all been treated with courtesy by professional, caring staff at all levels. From management to care assistant level. Even though my mother is unable to participate in most activities, she is always considered for light therapy, music and CD and is read to. She is also included with holy communion and regularly seen by visiting chaplaincy staff and other services as appropriate. We are always advised of changes in her condition or interventions by the medical team and generally supported as part of mum's excellent care and seamfree transition from her previous home. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you for your kind comments Pat.
I came in here very poorly with some trepidation but now I feel extremely well. I have put on weight due to the excellent food. The staff are wonderful. I always feel safe and secure, knowing that I can approach them if I have any concerns, always kept confidential. I would recommend this home to anyone. In fact, my daughter says I have more of a social life than she has.

Meet the Team (2)

I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and been in a managerial position for over 6 years. I have worked with a range of clients, from young adults with learning difficulties and elderly clients in residential/dementia homes. I have a lot of qualifications and completed my level 5 in leadership and management, and achieved my qualification in dementia care mapping with Sterling University.
I thoroughly enjoy my work and get great satisfaction on a daily basis here at Hollymount. We are quite a big family here, and like to ensure that the home promotes equality and diversity. All support is tailored to the individual. I am passionate in improving staff knowledge which is essential to their roles which ensures they have the skills and knowledge to create the best for the organisation. Reflective practice is a huge part of my professional development, criticising my own practice is not always easy but taking a step back and taking another look at it can benefit me and my skills in improving my knowledge so I can become a role model for other staff. I like to feel that I am learning and changing as a result of all I do.
I have a 24 year old son who is very important to me and my family is paramount to me. Hollymount has my full dedication and I am looking forward to developing the service further and further improving the home.

Hi, my name is Shirley. I started as Activities Coordinator at Hollymount in 2022, prior to this I had worked at Hollymount as a care assistant.
I have had a very varied career which I feel enables me to bring a lot to the role.
I just love my role here at Hollymount and I find it very rewarding. It’s a vital part of the home and essential to the well-being of all our residents. The residents are full of character and have amazing stories to tell, I have made lots of friends and it’s great to see smiles on their faces.
