Saxondale EMI Nursing Home

Excellent care home. They treat my mum, who has advanced Alzheimer's, as a member of their own family. We can't thank them enough for all they've done to keep my mum and all the other residents safe and well during this past horrible year. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff.

We are delighted with the care and compassion my mum has received at Saxondale. The staff are fantastic; they treat everyone with love and kindness, nothing is too much for them. They have looked after all the residents and kept the home Covid-free. The manager is a real asset to the home. The home is under refurbishing, and it looks lovely.

My dad was very poorly when he first came to Saxondale, but through all the love and care of all the staff, my dad has had a new lease of life in a new and happier chapter. During the virus situation, I have had peace of mind knowing that my dad is loved and cared for. Even though it's been very difficult not being able to visit Dad in the way we did in the past, I always know they treat Dad with respect and dignity. Management make sure things are kept safe and secure. I thank them all from my heart for all they do for Dad. I always felt like family and so happy I can sleep at night knowing Dad's taken care of, thank you.

During "COVID" staff have been very empathetic and facilitated outside socially distancing visits. PPE management, mental health nurses and care workers are always friendly and professional in extremely challenging circumstances.

The home Saxondale is clean, nicely decorated. The food is good. My husband settled nicely. the staff is warm and friendly and welcoming when we go to see him.

Care home staff is fantastic, always phone calls and video messaging if we can't get to see Dad.

Since my dad was admitted into Saxondale I feel his care needs are getting met 100%. My dad always appears to be settled and happy. The staff are good and very caring nothing is too much trouble to make our visit comfortable. The manager, nursing staff are very caring and cannot thank them enough.

During the past two months, my wife was admitted on 9th October. The staff of Saxondale have been both efficient and sympathetic in helping to come to terms with a difficult situation. I would describe Saxondale as a no-frill but very caring nursing home.

Since my dad came into Saxondale my family and I are happy with the care he received. The staff are all friendly and give us good feedback on his needs. 100% to all staff and management can't thank them enough.

Words cannot express the thanks, admiration and respect I have for all the staff at Saxondale. Making the decision to place someone you love in a care home is one of the most difficult you will ever make. My mum and our family have been treated with dignity and respect. The tender, loving care shown to my mum is second to none. They are very special people who work here.

The home has improved over the past year. The environment is ok. Furnishings need improving and the sitting rooms are quite stark. Overall very good as staff are pleasant, caring and support residents. Outside spaces need improvement. Needs investment in the building.

My opinion is that they are overworked and underpaid, God bless them.

My wife suffers from dementia and incontinence and because of my health problems I am unable to care for her. Having had to move her in and out of several homes we found this to be unbelievably good. If I didn't know better I would think she was getting better. She seems so happy and contented. I don't know hat they do to stimulate her but she seems to remember some things/people she had forgotten. The staff are unbelievable in their kindness and care, not just with my wife, but all the clients in their care. When anyone asks about Saxondale I always praise it, it's a Godsend.

My husband has vascular dementia and has been a resident for 1 year. I have 100% confidence in his care. He is treated with warmth and dignity and all the staff are extremely helpful. I can visit anytime and am always welcomed. I would not wish him to be anywhere else. His needs are now very complex but the staff treat him with such patience and understanding.

Saxondale has a lovely homely feeling and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. It is really like a home from home for my dad and I feel comforted knowing he is safe and well looked after.

Always clean and tidy. My mother is well looked after.

Must not forget the kitchen staff thanks for all the lovely meals you give my Mum and everyone.

I'm happy with the care and can recommend it.
