My father has dementia and suffered a sudden and rapid decline resulting in our family deciding to place him in care. Unfortunately, this happened during the Covid pandemic and we were all very nervous and had resolved that if we did not feel happy when admitting him that we would take him home again
with us. The staff at Dr Anderson Lodge could not have been more welcoming and reassuring and my father has settled in very well. They strictly adhere to recommended protocols regarding Covid keeping everyone safe with regular testing. He has again undergone a sudden and rapid decline and is currently receiving nursing care. The staff have been wonderful throughout and really seem to care about what they are doing. My father has made a particular bond with one of the care staff and responds really with her. I have no complaints about anything and would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who finds themselves in the very difficult decision of placing a family member in care.

The service is used for respite care on a regular basis. We have used it for a number of years. The staff are welcoming and have built up a good relationship with us. My husband enjoys his short breaks and has made friends with the other residents.
