Overall Experience

My mother in law, who was bed ridden, received excellent end of life care in Rose Cottage in August 2025. Every member of staff from the manager to the clinical nurses to the support workers, handyman, kitchen and cleaning staff went out of their way to make her stay comfortable, pain free and cheerful. The food was very good and her room was clean and cosy. It really felt like home to her after a long stay in hospital and rehab but with a high standard of medical care on hand 24 hours a day to ensure she was pain free. Staff cared about our family too and the difficult journey we were going through. I would thoroughly recommend Rose Cottage to any family in similar circumstances.

Absolutely fabulous, the staff really go out of their way for residents, the care they have given my mother is outstanding and the staff are long term, no agency here.

Many thanks all from me and my family.

Absolutely outstanding.
Our dad is being treated like the king he is.
The staff are amazing, warm, and kind-hearted and they all go above and beyond for everyone in their care including the families.
Dad's happy, healthy and that's the best gift of all.

It's a fantastic family, that's what you all become, a big wonderful family

Overall Experience
Our relative was only with the home a short period as he was terminal. However, the staff, management and resident community made that time very special for him and his relatives.
The staff really care, they were friendly and warm and always understanding when he was difficult at times. It's not the stereotypical care home but a house of residents with staff looking after them.
The facilities are excellent and we saw the aviary and raised flower/veg beds for the residents being built. Unfortunately, we never got to help grow things. The grounds are beautiful and the summer house is available for residents' family functions overlooking the immaculate gardens.

Thank you Rose Cottage for making our time with you very special.
