Dad's urine bottles aren't emptied, and the last time I visited, one had been knocked over and had been walked all around his room. Dad is often left in dirty t-shirts and has no PJ bottoms, and is just covered with a blanket protecting his dignity. Dad does seem happy at Holly Parl, and the staff are lovely with him. Communication could do with being better when there is any medical issue.

My brother was at Holly Park Care Home in Clayton, Unfortunately he was there because he had Dementia, At the beginnig he appeared happy there and the food was good, However, at the beginning of July, 2025 he suffered terrible injuries which were broken hip, pelvis, ribs and vertabrae. The Care home said that he had had a fall and they didn't know how it had happened!! My brother has had to have two operations, suffered pneumonia and infections whilst being in hospital where he has been for over three months.

The fall was entirely unexpected, a full investigation was carried out immediately. The incident was reported to both the Local Authority Safeguarding Team and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). While our team is trained to minimise the risk of falls, unfortunately they cannot always be prevented.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the staff really care about people. Everyone seems really helpful and kind. It was not a pleasant move having to put mum into care, but we are confident it was the right thing to do because of the way the staff treat the residents.

The staff treat him with respect and affection, and I am content in the knowledge that he has everything he needs. I had a long chat with two of his carers on my most recent visit, and I was impressed by the care they gave him and the obvious warm regard in which he is held. The home has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and I have felt welcome on each visit.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have activities coordinators who run sessions throughout the day, but we understand there can be times when the lounges seem quieter. We'll take your comments on board and look at how we can keep residents more engaged during those quieter periods. There's 1 or 2 minor issues which are currently being addressed, other than that I would have no problems recommending this facility to other potential residents.
