Always a nice, friendly welcome. Extremely clean, never smelling of urine. Nice touches like home made buns on the tea trolley. Bedding always spotless. High standard of nursing care available. No need to book a visit, just not at meal times. Food always looks tempting. Overall a nice place.
I find the staff and facilities excellent, care and friendliness of carers great. Nothing is too much trouble. Food and delivery good albeit not hot always.
I needed help and got it. Comfort and peace I needed and got.

Overall, apart from a couple of teething issues which were quickly dealt with, I have enjoyed my stay. I look forward to coming back.

I arrived here after 3 weeks in hospital. My mobility wasn't great as had a medical issue on one leg so could only weight bear on the other leg. The carers looked after me well and checked on me a few times a day. I had a shower every day which they helped me. Also dressed me as was difficult with my mobility. Thank you all for everything. I will miss you.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We appreciate your kind comments and will let our team know. It was a pleasure having you to stay and we wish you all the best.
On our first visit, we were welcomed with kindness and good manners (and all subsequent visits). The staff were all very patient and happy to help with all our queries. Our family member are very happy and treated with the greatest of respect.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We will pass them on to our team. It is a pleasure to have your aunt living with us.
I went to visit 3 different care homes before I visited Sherrington House. As soon as I was shown around I felt that this was the best place for my mother. The care from all the staff from carers, cleaners, nurses, and admin was so welcoming. The time my mother spent there, she was very well looked after, they took into consideration her needs, her medical history and her dementia. I could have never found a better care home for my mother.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We will pass them on to our team. It means a lot when our team's care and hard work is complemented. We always strive to do our very best. It was a pleasure to have your mother with us, she will be missed.
Sadly my auntie only had a short stay at Sherrington House after her original care home closed down. I only wish I had placed her here sooner, the care she received was outstanding, nothing was too much for the staff and she was treated with so much dignity and respect, especially towards the end of life. Very well-managed and friendly staff, I can't thank them enough for looking after my auntie so well, certainly made her final days comfortable.
Hi Tracy, thank you so much for your wonderful review, it means a lot to us when our clients and family appreciate us. We too are sad that your auntie could not be with us for longer, she was a lovely lady and a pleasure to care for and we will miss her.
I cannot thank the guys enough for the love, care and attention they gave my nan. The team are considerate, caring, respectful and kind. All the staff treated my nan with dignity and respect and as a relative they were always on hand for any questions or issues. Fully recommend this setting.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We always strive to give our lovely clients our very best. It was a pleasure to look after your nan, she was a lovely lady.
I’ll always be grateful for how they treated Dad (even when he was being a pain!) getting him the things he wanted or chatting with him about things he was interested in.
In the fifteen years he was there, he appeared 15 years younger than when he first arrived, both mentally and physically!
Dad’s unexpected passing seemed just as upsetting to the staff as it was to us. We only have praise for them all.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your father was a real character and we enjoyed our daily banter with him. We all still miss him so much.
My husband has been on a few occasions now, and even though he doesn't like being away from home, he will happily attend Sherrington House. He likes the staff and the food. The room is spacious and has a TV and bathroom.
Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted that you are happy to have him stay with us, it is always a pleasure.
The care workers are mainly bad but some are okay, 4 out 10 and others, because they were good to myself, 7/10. I had an awful experience there at the home. After a lot of problems then I tailored my care package. Out of many occasions, I had 10 to 15 minutes help with the toilet for a number 1 or 2. I fell at the care home whilst the care workers were a hoist on myself and almost hit my head on the bedpost when I was lowered too fast.
Firstly, the fall which you had was due to yourself being tired and refusing to be hoisted. We worked along with you to ensure that your care needs were met, however at times when carers came to you at the times you agreed, you would then decide that you did not need the carers but then would ask...
My mother passed away in the care of this nursing home. The staff were so caring and kind. I wish Mother could have lived longer in their care.
