Sherrington House is a purpose built care home offering care for up to 39 people over three floors. A range of care is available from short and long stays with skilled carers who are experienced and trained to give loving care to all clients.

All the rooms are single ensuite, and a television and WiFi is available in each room. There is a lounge and dining area on each floor and disabled toilet and bath facilities. The home is situated in the Heaton area of Bradford with good access to local amenities and public transport.

The qualified chefs can cater to all tastes and nothing is too much trouble.

All staff were very helpful, supportive and interactive with my mother. They made us feel welcome when we visited and kept us up to date with her daily needs, health and well-being. The care provided to my mother was second to none! The care they provided to Mum by both qualified and non-qualified (support
staff) was excellent. The staff were very diligent in the support and care they gave her, and I can not speak more highly enough of them. The manager went above and beyond her responsibilities, and the front of house - receptionists, the first port of call, were again most welcoming, with a very pleasant telephone manner.
I can sincerely say that the staff team on the whole that I came into contact with were the best that I have had the pleasure of meeting. They made my mother's stay and last weeks the most comfortable that they possibly could.
Well done to all the staff team at Sherrington House; your MD should be proud of the service you provide.

My mum was transferred to Sherrington House from an NHS hospital on 23 September for continued palliative care. The home's administration throughout has been outstanding as has the quality of care she has received since arrival. Sherrington's facilities are first class and all the staff are lovely people
and their work is beyond excellent. I would recommend Sherrington House to anyone and everyone. On behalf of the family, I would like to say a massive thank you to the team leader and all her colleagues for all their help and support in looking after Mum's transfer and providing her ongoing care.

My brother had multiple health issues to contend with, along with his Downs. The staff were so kind and considerate to him throughout the time he was with them as a resident.
In my opinion he wasn't a client or service user but a member of the Sherrington Family.
Staff and Residents alike were all
part of my brothers extended family.

I was a resident after hospital discharge in July 2007, went home in October 2007. My stay at Sherrington House was average and the staff ok.
I visit residents for the last 12 years staff levels brilliant and residents seem happy and I enjoy visiting all the residents and Xmas day I visit. God bless.

This care home has been everything that my mum needs. When I couldn't take care of her at home anymore, she went into this care home and since that day, my mum has always been happy. The care home staff aren't just staff to my mum, they are family to her. Treating her with the respect she deserves and

It is a very stressful time and emotional when it is decided that Residential Care is the best option. It is so distressing for the patient and also for their family. The staff at Sherrington House have been wonderful. They have been sympathetic, caring and practical in their approach. They have given
sensitive and appropriate tender loving care. The staff communicate well with the family which is so helpful and reassuring. We can't thank them enough.

When my mum came to live at Sherrington House, she was extremely poorly and her health had been a great cause of worry to me. We didn't think she had long to live, due to her medical condition, thankfully due to the tender loving care from all the staff at Sherrington House she had a great quality of
life for the next 3 years. It almost felt like extended family and I still bump into some of the staff. It was a real roller coaster of emotions and throughout the staff were there, to hold my hand and give kind words of support to both me and my mother. This kind of care and understanding cannot be measured and I would happily recommend Sherrington House.

My mother came to Sherrington House for respite care following surgery for a broken ankle.
As my father had previously been a resident, we knew all the staff and management and did not hesitate to bring my mum in for care.


Every day my mum was asked if she would like to come down to the lounge to

see the entertainment that was available that day, there was always something on, whether it was an external entertainer/singer, fitness sessions, or just playing dominoes with other residents and staff.
The staff and management were so welcoming and friendly. The home itself is spotlessly clean and the staff are wonderful and caring. It's a lovely warm environment to be in.


The food was homemade and there is always plenty of choice with meals each day and nothing was too much trouble.


I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough, the home is run by people who really care.
