We selected Park House for Mum, on the recommendation of a friend whose father had been a recent resident. We very quickly realised what a good decision that had been. Mum received the very best care from all at the home, the staff treated her with love, respect and compassion and she thrived in the
homely environment, particularly in the conservatory lounge area. The nursing care was exemplary and the personal support she received in her room, was carried out in an efficient and professional manner, with the utmost care and consideration. The home-cooked food was top quality and nutritious and the meals adapted to Mum's changing requirements. We have only good memories of Mum's time at Park House, something for which the family will be forever grateful. Thank you again.

Resident always appears well-dressed, clean and tidy. Due to the patient's dementia, it is difficult to know when she is talking or tied or living in the past or is just confused.
I have always found the staff polite and helpful.

I knew that Park House were fabulous as my friend's father-in-law had received palliative care there. However, the staff far exceeded my expectations.
It was lovely to be able to prepare the room in advance of my friend's arrival (including a 6ft Christmas tree) so that he had familiar things around
him.
It was also fabulous to be able to visit whenever I wanted. As a result I popped in twice a day on the way home from work.
My friend spent his last days feeling loved and cared for and was allowed to die on his own terms and with dignity. For that I will be forever grateful.

Park House in Queensbury is a small Nursing home with a personal touch, which is why I choose to send my mum there for respite.
The management is extremely approachable, helpful and understanding. The staff are professional and friendly taking care of my mum's needs all the time.

Mum, has lived at Park House for 1 year and 2 months.
The warmth, friendliness, caring nature and obvious teamwork, were evident on day 1.
The setting is idyllic, yes a little tired decor-wise, but glitz and glam are not our priority.
Mum has Hydrocephalus and severe Cerebral Atrophy. She understands,
otherwise is totally dependent.
Care staff love her, it is clear in the way they speak with her. All personal care is handled individually and with dignity.
Life is managed well, clothes labelled, Mum always well presented, clean and tidy. Hairdresser, Podiatrist, Optician, GP visit and very supportive.
Art, craft, and exercise weekly.
Nursing care is exemplary.
Food is fresh daily, for all individual needs. Park House has been going through a transition. However, the old and new owners have been patient, listened and supportive, throughout the home transition and Mum's coinciding and changing health needs.
We have also had an ongoing legal situation.
We receive care, sensitivity and kindness in all matters.

My auntie has been very well cared for over the three years she has resided at Park House. She has deteriorated lately in her health and changes to her care have been dealt with sensitively. She continues to be made as comfortable as possible. I have never had any issue.

I have looked after my wife at home for the past 7 years but following a significant deterioration, my wife was admitted to Park House Nursing Home in February 2023.
Obviously, this was a very worrying time for us but from the outset, the nursing care has been excellent, involving GPs and other specialists
as needed, while this is paramount so is the personal and mental care where all the staff take a personal interest in her life and family. They really go 'that' extra mile. As a team they all work very well together, led by the owners who are hands-on encouraging and motivating. It really does feel like home-you can't put a price on that.

From the moment I stepped into Park House I have always found it to be a very welcoming home by all staff. The home may be a little dated but exceptionally clean, warm and safe environment for their residents. My mum has been in Park House now for 2 years, she suffers from Huntingdon disease and I feel
her needs are met with the utmost respect, care and kindness. Any worries or problems have been answered and dealt with correctly and immediately. I find that Mum is always very clean and tidy, her hair done and matching clothes. This is very important as in other homes she has been dirty and other people's clothes on.

Mum was admitted to Park House in February 2023, after a critical illness, which hospitalised her for 8 weeks. The care that Mum has received whilst being at Park House has been faultless. The staff within the home provide an excellent level of care and knowledge of each individual resident. They always
offer information unprompted with regard to Mum's situation as soon as you arrive to visit. This can involve what she has eaten or drunk or conversations that they may have had.
The staff regularly go above and beyond their duties and I don't believe that she would be cared for as well anywhere else.

My mother's needs have changed and she is in end of life palliative care.
She has advanced dementia and unable to move unassisted.
The care and love towards our mother and support for the family is wonderful, kind, patient, thoughtful, considerate and generous from the medical team, carers, owners
and all the staff.
A wonderful and outstanding service from all the staff.

This is the most excellent facility. All staff treated my dad with the greatest respect, care and dignity to the highest standards. Nothing has been too much for them. We were told this was his home now and it is really like being at home, including treating visitors (Mum and family) with great care

My mum went into Park House Nursing Home in December 2021. It took a while for her to settle but she enjoyed the company, care and staff banter! I went most days and saw how well the residents were treated. mum had her 104th birthday and then started to decline. The care and compassion we and her received
from the staff were second to none.


During his final week, I stayed over in her room and again, the staff were caring for me as well as my mum! I found Park House to be a family home for my mum and am forever grateful that I chose it for her.

I was very reluctant to let my wife go into nursing home care for the last weeks of her life. I needn't have worried. I had come across Park House Nursing Home by recommendation, what a very fortunate happening. My wife only lived a further eleven days but the love and care we both received during those
days would be very hard to replicate. The medical care for her and the pastoral care in those final days were second to none. I can only offer Park House staff and management my grateful thanks. Park House Nursing Home - God bless you.

Just want to say thank you to the staff for caring for my mum for the short time she was there, you went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable right until the end. If you are looking for a very high standard of care, provided by a team of compassionate and caring people, in peaceful and beautiful surroundings look no further. After looking after our dying mum at home for six weeks, following discharge from a five-week hospital stay we were very reluctant and
worried about putting mum into a nursing home. However, in hindsight, we need not have done. From mum's admittance in May 2021 to her recent death, mum received an excellent, high standard of care. This was delivered with dignity, respect and kindness by a team of professional, caring staff. Management and staff ensured that as a family we were included in any decisions about Mum's care and showed kindness and support to us also at a time which was both difficult and heart-breaking. We cannot thank them enough and highly recommend them.

Mum was at end of life and went into Park House Nursing Home for palliative care. She has been so well looked after since arriving she has gained weight and seems more like my mum again. She is still end of life but happy rather than just a poorly body.

During COVID trying to find a nursing home for my mum was extremely stressful over the phone. We chose Park House because of the reviews and telephone conversations over the phone. Mum settled in very quickly and started to gain weight due to the meals and care provided. The staff are all very caring.

My Grandmother lived at Park House for almost 18 months. She was treated with such dignity and her family with such respect right to the end and beyond. This was our first experience of a care home and it was positive! My Gran often thought she was in a hotel! We have nothing but praise for the staff
and management here and would recommend Park House to anyone.
