The staff and care were absolutely brilliant. Such a friendly team, wonderful location with a lovely garden and conservatory. We couldn't fault his care and wish he'd have stayed permanently. Even he was raving over the care and the wonderful food!! Unfortunately he just missed his home and privacy but would not hesitate to visit again should the need arise. Thank you so much St Luke's!
Hi, thank you for your feedback, i will pass this on to the team, we miss him already and he is welcome anytime, please join us for our summer fair this month if you are able. Good luck with things at home.
A close relative has been a resident for two years. We have noticed a significant improvement in the atmosphere of the home over the last year. There seem to be more activities for residents and the home seems to be more welcoming and cheerful, with improved decorations and updated photographs of residents. We would like to thank the staff for their kindness to us and our relative.
Thank you so much for your review, im really happy that you are seeing improvements and glad to share there will be even more to come in the upcoming months, please also try and join us for our several summer events taking place over the next few months.
Our mum came to St Lukes for end of life care and throughout the whole process we were really impressed with the care shown by all the staff. We visited the care home and within 2 hours they had arranged transport and mum was moved to their care. Communication was excellent throughout and they even went out of their way to collect medicine from our own GP surgery. They looked after my dad too and even fed him when he was visiting mum. When she did pass they helped with arrangements and took all the stress out of our hands. Would highly recommend. Thank you for everything. Patricia's family x
Thank you for your feedback, it was a pleasure to care for your mum and you guys as a family. Take care and you know where we are if you need any help in the future.
The staff excel in all aspects of care from medical care to catering to the dietary requirements of our Mum,this is very reassuring.
Thank you for making us at ease, knowing our Mum is in safe hands.
Thank you so much for your comments, its our pleasure to care for your mum she is such a lovely lady who brightens up our ay with her humor and stories. I will make sure the full staff team receive your feedback
A very welcoming team and lovely building in relaxing grounds . The New manager seems to be a great asset and positive changes are already noticeable .The team have always been caring but it is more organised and better communication all round .Our Dad is looked after very well . Thankyou
Thank you for your feedback, you know you are always welcome anytime and we love taking care of your dad (and Mum )
I arrived at St Lukes in very poor health after radiotherapy for cancer. The first few days I was unable to look after myself. I found the staff were very concerned and was given a high level of care. As I improved I was able to take notice of my surroundings. The staff were always helpful cheerful and pleasant to all the patents in there care. I cannot praise enough the staff, atmosphere and level of care available at St Lukes.
Thank you Stanley for your kind review, we all miss you here and you are welcome to call and see us anytime, it is very quiet without you and we miss seeing you in the conservatory reading and chatting to everyone. We are having a summer fair in July which we hope you can join us for. Take care Stanley and hope you are still feeling well.
Overall, as a family, we are happy with the care that my dad is receiving at St Luke's and trust that when we are not there, his needs are being met.
Thank you for your lovely words, your dad is a pleasure to care for and we are so glad you are happy. I will pass on your feedback to the team.
This is an exceptional care home, from the minute we arrived my mind was put at rest by the manager, she runs the home with care dignity and resident needs are met. She has an excellent understanding of my husbands illness he has dementia. The staff are great and very friendly. The chef cooks to high standards and is home cooked. My husband is on respite and I would not hesitate to send him again to this care home , it truly is a vey caring place.
Thank you so much for your review, i will pass on your kind words to the staff team. It is our pleasure to look after your husband as well as support you through this difficult time.
This is a very special home. The staff care for the residents with compassion. They are good communicators and the manager deals with any concerns sensitively and quickly. The reception and catering staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. The activity coordinator works well with the residents, treating them as individuals, taking a keen interest in their life stories. I would recommend this home to anyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words, this will be shared with the whole team. Our residents are very special to us and we strive to ensure they are loved and cared for. Thank you again and hope to see you soon, as you know you are welcome anytime.
My father had been in the home on two previous occasions for respite care. He then had a bad fall and needed to go in for a third time. The staff are amazing and become part of the family showing great kindness and respect for the residents. The premises are well maintained and kept spotless by the housekeeping team. The kitchen tries to accommodate every need of residents. The carers and nursing staff are kind and considerate. As the relative I always came away knowing that my father was being well cared for and most importantly safe. My father unfortunately passed away and the care and support from the staff for the relatives could not have been better. Holding our hands through a very difficult time. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness.
*The management met our daughter, myself and my husband on admission day. We were welcomed warmly and made to feel comfortable instantly. My husband settled in rather quickly, which I feel certain, was a result of a socially healthy environment. He was assessed immediately in a gentle, patient manner by senior nurse. He was asked about his food likes and dislikes. Incidentally, he loves his meals here.
*The Carers are attentive and thorough in their care and treat my husband with patience and respect.
*The domestic staff leave the home looking immaculately clean and personal laundry is equally so.
*The chefs and kitchen staff are amazing, they really care that the residents are satisfied, the food according to my husband is really tasty and satisfying.
*The nurses are kind, gentle and keen to ensure good health of my husband.
*Overall our family are very happy with the care and attitude of all "depts".
Thank you for your lovely review, its very much appreciated. It's good to hear the care staff, nursing team and everyone else are doing such a good job and I will pass on your kind words to them.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the care given is always of a very high standard.

Lovely clean, all staff are very friendly and very caring. Meals are lovely. Mother has settled in well would highly recommend.
Thank you for this lovely review. I'll pass your kind words on to the team.
Mum arrived one week ago. Her room is extremely clean and well-maintained. Great area and gardens. Her care has been great. All the staff are very nice and helpful. I am very happy with St Luke's and I feel happy knowing mum is in good hands.
Thank you for this lovely review. I'll pass your kind words on to the team.
I have only experienced St Luke's as a visitor to my mum for one week, so far I have found all aspects to be good or excellent. More excellent boxes may have been ticked if I had more experience with the home.
Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to have your mum with us at St Luke's.
Great to see the improvements which have been made to St. Lukes over the last couple of months. The staff are really friendly and my mum is treated respectfully and with the dignity she deserves.
Thank you for your review. We strive to ensure improvements are maintained and built upon at St Lukes and welcome feedback. I have passed on your appreciation to the staff team.
My family member only had a short stay here but I found the team working there to be really caring and engaging. After moving from another home due to lack of communication I can say it was much better at St Luke's Nursing Home and grateful to them for the care provided.
Hi Emma, thank you for your lovely review I will share with the team. It was a pleasure to support the resident and your family. We really pride ourselves in caring for everybody who comes to St Lukes and joins our family.
Mum is happy and generally well looked after, there are issues with her personal hygiene that cause me concern. Her nails remain uncut and have a lot of dirt under them. She is bed-bound so it is a little difficult to shower her, but it should be more often. She is also having protracted treatment for hearing problems. One of her hearing aids was lost at the home some time ago, but until she successfully has her ears cleared we cannot progress with getting new aids for her. This makes communication difficult for everyone and increases Mum's isolation. The staff are generally great at the home and Mum enjoys a friendly interaction with them, but attention to detail (personal hygiene) is a bit lax. Her room is warm and clean and her clothes are cleaned and ironed regularly.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate all feedback as it allows us to evaluate the service we provide at St Luke's. We acknowledge your comments and would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further. If you could give me a call directly at 0113 2563547 or email...
Very friendly reception, helped me enter and escorted me to my friend who was relaxing in the lounge. My immediate impression from entering the building, I felt quite welcomed and the ambience was warm calm and inviting. Residents and staff were very friendly and courteous. I will be visiting again soon, it was a really good experience. I would readily advise people to visit. Thank you.
Thank you David for your kind words and I am pleased that you had a lovely visit and had a warm St Lukes welcome when you first arrived.
Although Mum is struggling to settle (due to dementia) I am very happy with how she is being cared for. Mum always looks presentable and her appetite is slowly returning, she is eating her meals and has gained a little weight since arriving 12 weeks ago. Overall I am very pleased with St. Luke's and would recommend.
Thank you Adele for your kind comments, it's a pleasure caring for and supporting your mum. I will pass on your lovely feedback to the team at St Luke's.
