Our mum came to St Lukes for end of life care and throughout the whole process we were really impressed with the care shown by all the staff. We visited the care home and within 2 hours they had arranged transport and mum was moved to their care. Communication was excellent throughout and they even
went out of their way to collect medicine from our own GP surgery. They looked after my dad too and even fed him when he was visiting mum. When she did pass they helped with arrangements and took all the stress out of our hands. Would highly recommend. Thank you for everything. Patricia's family x

I have been visiting my mother for nearly 3 years on a regular basis and I find it such an enjoyable experience not only because mum is happy and well looked after; but also because of the staff here. Everyone is so helpful and pleasant as well as being very skilled in all their fields. It's such a
relief for me to know that mum is happy here and that I can visit any time and have a wonderful lunch with her. Thank you everyone at Old Prebendal House.

My mother has now reached last stage dementia and I just wanted to comment on how seamlessly her care has been upgraded and increased, with no effort or requests from either myself or my siblings. This really is a place where residents are treated as individuals and their every need is catered for,
and noted. The carers are amazing and know their residents inside out. The bring gentle care and treat everyone with the dignity they all deserve, but so often did not receive at other care homes. It should also be said that they give me and my siblings the reassurance and confidence to not worry about our mother, we know she is in excellent hands and she really is treated as if she is in her own home, not in a residential institution. Key to all of this is a care team that has bonded and worked together for a long time, excellent nurses who know their residents needs, and an amazing Deputy and Home Manager. Get that dynamic right and everything else flows from there.
Reply from Val Baggott, Director of Care at The Old Prebendal HouseThank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot to us. We are very lucky to work together in a team where we care for each other as well as our wonderful residents who give us those magic moments that we wish we could bottle! Our relatives are part of our Prebendal family too and we feel honoured to be entrusted with the care of loved ones so we really are thrilled to hear you are happy that Mum is in safe hands.

My wife had excellent care, was very happy with everything and can not fault anything about the home. This is my first choice if my wife needs to go back into a home, as she was only on a respite. I am on OCP myself and could also stop in this home if ever I needed to.

We truly appreciate your trust in us and are honoured to be considered your first choice should your wife ever need care again in the future. We are also very touched by your comments about considering our home for yourself if ever needed.

Your feedback will be shared with the whole team, who work hard to create a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all our residents and families.

With best wishes and thanks again.

I arrived at St Lukes in very poor health after radiotherapy for cancer. The first few days I was unable to look after myself. I found the staff were very concerned and was given a high level of care. As I improved I was able to take notice of my surroundings. The staff were always helpful cheerful
and pleasant to all the patents in there care. I cannot praise enough the staff, atmosphere and level of care available at St Lukes.
