My partner came to the Prebendal for respite care, I and his daughters were delighted with the 'courtesy' & friendliness of the staff, who welcomed us. The care & support he received from all the people there who looked after him was exemplary. The surroundings are a delight, and a wonderful sense of peace is marvellous for the residents. The food was delicious, beautifully served. There were plentiful light refreshments available. I recommend this care home without reservation.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we really do appreciate you taking the time to share your true lived experience of our services at Old Prebendal House. We were delighted to support with this short stay and hope to be able to do so again in the future. In the meantime, please pop in for coffee and cake to keep in touch. With best wishes from all the Team
Everything about the Old Prebendal House has been superb. Friendly, efficient and very accommodating staff, beautiful, calm and restful spaces which are immaculately maintained, and the garden is a treasure. The food has been really delicious, with great choices. We were made to feel so welcome as a family, and while the staff are extremely attentive, they are very unobtrusive so we felt quite at home and able to relax with our father/husband during his stay.
On behalf of all the team here at Old Prebendal, we are grateful for your feedback and delighted to know that you were able to relax and enjoy our facilities while visiting. It's always our pleasure to welcome new residents and loved ones, we have very much enjoyed getting to know you all and hope to see you again soon
I have been visiting my mother for nearly 3 years on a regular basis and I find it such an enjoyable experience not only because mum is happy and well looked after; but also because of the staff here. Everyone is so helpful and pleasant as well as being very skilled in all their fields. It's such a relief for me to know that mum is happy here and that I can visit any time and have a wonderful lunch with her. Thank you everyone at Old Prebendal House.
On behalf of all the team, a huge big thank you for your feedback. We always want everyone to feel at home when they visit Old Prebendal so it's reassuring to know how much you enjoy your visits and your lunches! We'll look forward to welcoming you again very soon
Mother to the Old Prebendal House.
We now wish we had made this step earlier as she has perked up being with other people and enjoying the beautiful gardens.
It is a relief to have her nearby and in such good hands The staff are lovely and very understanding and i can call in at any time
It's been our pleasure to welcome your mother to our home and so heart warming to see her settled and enjoying our facilities at Old Prebendal. Thank you so much for your kind feedback and always lovely to see you with her too!
My mother has now reached last stage dementia and I just wanted to comment on how seamlessly her care has been upgraded and increased, with no effort or requests from either myself or my siblings. This really is a place where residents are treated as individuals and their every need is catered for, and noted. The carers are amazing and know their residents inside out. The bring gentle care and treat everyone with the dignity they all deserve, but so often did not receive at other care homes. It should also be said that they give me and my siblings the reassurance and confidence to not worry about our mother, we know she is in excellent hands and she really is treated as if she is in her own home, not in a residential institution. Key to all of this is a care team that has bonded and worked together for a long time, excellent nurses who know their residents needs, and an amazing Deputy and Home Manager. Get that dynamic right and everything else flows from there.
Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot to us. We are very lucky to work together in a team where we care for each other as well as our wonderful residents who give us those magic moments that we wish we could bottle! Our relatives are part of our Prebendal family too and we feel...
My mother came to The Old Prebendal House for respite care, and had great care and attention there for six weeks. The staff were all kind and patient and helped her through some difficult challenges. Her room was spacious and homely, and the facilities are in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Visitors loved coming to see her there! We felt very grateful and the nurses, carers and management for helping her in her recovery. A warm friendly haven.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It was our pleasure to be entrusted with your mothers care and heart warming to see so many visitors proving what a special lady she is. Sending our best wishes to you all
I was booked into the nursing home for a few days after a surgical operation, assuming I would need help with daily washing etc before going home. The whole experience was restful and helpful. The staff always polite, helpful, cheerful, night and day.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we were pleased to be able to support you in your recovery and wish you well for the future. We hope to see you soon for coffee and cake!
My mother stayed with Prebendal for two weeks respite care and whilst it was an anxious thing for my family,as it was the first time my mother had stayed away from her home in many years, it was a very comfortable and welcoming place to spend two weeks. My mother was very well cared for and the residents were charming too. Old Prebendal has a lovely atmosphere, all the staff are very pleasant and caring and it feels like more like a hotel than a care home.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback, it really helps us to evaluate the care and services we provide at Old Prebendal. We're pleased that your mother was able to enjoy our facilities and we hope to see her again soon.
This is a lovely care home. It doesn't matter what time I turn up, I'm always made to feel very welcome. The home is very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The staff, without exception, are warm, friendly and caring. They all have patience in shedloads! They often need it when dealing with my mum, she can be difficult.
Thank you so much for leaving your feedback even if we have to disagree, you know how much we all love your Mum and wouldn't change a thing about her!!! She's full of character for a 100 year old!
We had not been to the Prebendal before and when we arrived to visit a friend the receptionist was helpful snd friendly. She showed us to where our friend was sitting in the delightful garden and brought us coffee and cake. We liked the friendly atmosphere and the helpful staff. Our friend is well cared for and happy to be there.
Thank you so much on behalf of all of us at Old Prebendal House, we are delighted you enjoyed your visit. Please come for coffee and cake again soon and you will be made most welcome!
It's always a pleasure to visit my friend, not only for the time spent with her, but the staff make me feel the happiness in this establishment. I can sum up in just 2 words. Proper job!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Old Prebendal House, this is so helpful for others when they are considering a home for a loved one. We take pride in all that we do so it's great to have this feedback and know that our visitors feel welcome when they visit our home.
We moved into one of the cottages in the spring and cannot believe our luck. The staff, without exception are outstanding.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback, it means a lot to all of us to know our residents are entirely satisfied with our services. We wish you many more years of enjoying life at Prebendal Court
My Mum and Dad recently moved into The Old Prebendal House and it was clear from our first visit that it's a place of genuine warmth, compassion, and comfort. The pre-assessment process was impressively thorough, giving our family complete confidence in the transition. It was clear that every effort was made to understand not just the medical needs of my parents, but also their personalities, preferences, and routines. What stood out most was how welcoming everyone was - not just to my parents, but to the whole family, including the great-grandchildren. We were all made to feel at home, whether stopping by for a visit or sitting down together for a delicious lunch. A special mention must go to the manager, whose professionalism, experience, and leadership shine through in every aspect of the home and set the tone for the entire team. Having visited many care homes in search of the right one, we are incredibly grateful to have found such a special place for Mum and Dad.
Thank you so much for your review which we truly appreciate. We hope that others in the process of looking at care services for a loved one will find this helpful and most of all reassuring.
Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Made us feel comfortable and safe. Food was excellent and to a great standard. Gardens were nice and welcoming. Very accommodating to our needs and issues we had.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Old Prebendal House and hope to see you again very soon.
This beautiful, peaceful sanctuary with its excellent team has been a lifeline quite literally for our mum and us. Mum has been transformed physically under the care and compassion of everyone involved in her care. From being completely bed-bound, unable to eat and the indignity of double incontinence she has been slowly, carefully and patiently encouraged to accept the personal care needed to maintain hygiene, health and dignity and to accept with gentle encouragement the physio needed to get her back in her feet. The fantastic food offering has her eating so well she gained half a stone in 4 weeks. Highly recommend.
It has been our absolute pleasure to see your Mother's improvement, she is such a delight to care. As a family, your dedication to her has also played a huge part in her recovery and we love having you around. Thank you so much for your kind words, we really appreciate it. The team will be very pleased to hear your feedback.
We took a lot of trouble to find the best nursing home for our cousin, to spend his last few months. Sadly, as it transpired he didn't survive long enough to enjoy all that was on offer to residents. All the staff were very caring and helped him during his last days. We too, were grateful for their sensitivity and support.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are sorry that your cousin was only with us for a short time but were happy to help him in his final days. It is always heartwarming to see family supporting loved ones in their time of need. Thank you on behalf of the team at Old Prebendal.
Old Prebendal House has been a great place for my dad. They have great balance between letting him be independent with the things he can still do, while keeping him safe by recognising when he needs support. The food is excellent. Dad was only able to eat puréed food at home, but now enjoys 3 good normal meals a day. We have even been able to arrange family gatherings at the house for Christmas and Birthday celebrations with a stroll in the surrounding grounds.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We have been delighted to see your father enjoy his meals now with the improvements that he has made and it's always our pleasure to welcome family and friends into our home.
Great place to stay to get over a very big operation on my right shoulder. I was so much stronger after my stay there. I was able to come home and be looked after by my family.
All the staff were excellent including the handyman.
We also had bingo raffles and a sing-a-long with one of the members of staff so all in all a very pleasant experience.
A big thank you to everyone there and for making my stay such a good time.
Thanks again.
We were so pleased to be able to support your post-op recovery and are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Please pop in to say hello when you are passing, we would all love to see you again. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. With best wishes from all the team at Old Prebendal House.
My brother has been in Old Prebendal for over a year now and he is being cared for by wonderful caring staff. The facilities are amazing, he often says it’s a wonderful hotel. I visit often and share his days and all the excellent things he does every day from exercise classes to afternoon teas in the beautiful garden, there is something for everyone who resides at Old Prebendal. I am so happy that my brother is in such good hands. Thank you everyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words as always. It's good to have feedback from relatives who are so involved with life at The Old Prebendal and see a true picture of a day in the life of our residents. We all feel very privileged to be entrusted with the care of our residents and to also work in such a beautiful environment. Your appreciation means a lot to us.
My husband and I recently spent sixteen days at The Old Prebendal House care home, Ascot-under-Wychwood, while my husband was recuperating from a replacement hip operation. He recovered rapidly mainly because of the professionalism, care, attention, kindness and friendliness of all the staff. The beauty of the building and the tranquil surroundings also made it the perfect place to recover.
We were delighted to have met you both and see you enjoy our facilities. Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it and look forward to seeing you for a social visit when you are passing.
