The staff have a ‘can do’ attitude, and try very hard to accommodate the family’s wishes.
The staff are very caring and seem to know the personality traits/needs of each resident well. The manager is efficient and responds quickly to family requests.
Staff working closely with Mum are always willing
to update us on her health and well-being. Staff morale appears to be good. All staff seem to ‘muck in’ - whether they be carers, office, domestic or grounds staff. The staff ensure residents are proud of their appearance with regular visits by manicurists, hairdressers etc. A good variety of activities are offered to residents - especially involving creative skills. Covid rules/regulations are strictly followed and enforced. There is a strong sense of the care home being part of the community. The main front gardens are an asset to the home, but the patio area is difficult to navigate using wheelchairs due to uneven paving - more ground-level seating would be welcome.

My father has been a resident at Emmanuel House for a little over two years. During this time, the staff have done a fantastic job of looking after him and keeping him comfortable and engaged. He suffers from a degenerative and profoundly disabling condition, and I am always impressed by the level of
care, attention and empathy he receives. This has been made all the more challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet the care staff and management continue to be helpful and cheerfully go the extra mile.

Dedicated staff who work very hard and nothing is too much for them.
They care well for the patients and are empathetic to the needs of family and visitors. Everyone interacts with each other. Great chef, good cleaners, carers, district nurse involvement and doctors support.
The taxi service to
wheelchair patients is good.
Wonderful end of life care and support.

Excellent facilities and care for my granny. The staff are friendly and demonstrate a high standard of professional care at all times. Granny is very happy here and has been here nearly 3 years and is 105!

The care my mother has received over the last year has been brilliant and I would like to thank every single member of staff who has taken care of her. The home has always been lovely and clean and the food has been of a high quality. It was lovely to see my mum had a smile when the staff talked to

My recommend to put 'unlikely' is nothing to do with the carers they do their very best at all times.
All reports are pre-July 2016 when there were lots of changes not all for the better, up to the present day. I no longer go to the home as my dear wife passed away 5th September 2017. I will leave
the rest of my comments to myself.

I found the staff at the home both warm and friendly. My dad was always well looked after and we felt supported as a family. The care home is currently undergoing some much needed renovation, this is most welcome as the facilities had started to look shabby. The staff were always willing to help, they
always seemed on the go and would have benefited from additional staff.

Friendliness of all the staff is excellent. The food is very good. The cleanliness is very good. They don't skimp on food. We are very pleased we came as we were separated in hospital and couldn't not see each other. Emmanuel let us share a big room together so we were not parted. Very caring people.

My mother was a Emmanuel Nursing Home for some years from respite beginning to the end of her life on Sunday 4/10/15. During this time we had nothing to complain about, but plenty to compliment all the staff about. My mother received the best attention possible as do all the residents. My mum was happy
during the years she lived there. I have seen the staff stay with residents well after the end of their shift and never complain. They are always helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend Emmanuel to everyone.

To my surprise my mother settled down very well and I feel that this was mainly because of the friendliness and dedication of the care team. Nothing was too much trouble. She was a proud woman and totally embarrassed about her failing health but said she was made to feel at ease in the way the staff
treated her. I couldn't thank the team enough for making the last few years of her life comfortable and tranquil.
