Figham House offers high qulaity residential care and is located on the outskirts of the historical town of Beverley and close to all transport routes and local amenities.
Each of the 53 bedrooms is furnished to the highest standard.

At Figham House independence and choice is prioritised and residents are encouraged to personalise rooms with their own belongings so they are surrounded by familiar things. Double and ensuite rooms are available.

Residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. They are given person-centred care so residents can keep on doing the things they have always enjoyed.

The facilities at Figham House allow residents to enjoy activities that promote independence, from enjoying the gardens or simply socialising with friends in the lounges.

Figham House has a busy activities timetable. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions.

Lovely home! Mum is cared for and always clean and tidy. High praise for all the staff, well led by the manager/management. The staff are always helpful with any request. Mum can be quite 'picky' with her meals but the chef always accommodates Mum's needs.

I visit twice a week, sometimes my husband is asleep all the time so I stay for one hour instead of the usual 2.

If asked to describe the caring team at Figham House in three words I think we would go for kind, compassionate and professional. Mum stayed at Figham for more than two years and died there with great dignity at the age of 98. We would have liked to mention by name those carers who we felt had "gone
the extra mile" during her stay but the list became too long. Mum felt very much at home with them all. An exceptional team like this one does not happen by accident, it is a result of inspirational management. The Manager is a constant, hands-on presence in the home. We would like to thank all of the team at Figham for Mum's experience and for giving us a time that we can look back on with good memories.

My mum has been at Figham for 2 years. Not once has she ever been anything other than content and happy in herself. She has memory issues but can still express emotions and every day she seems happy. She is always clean and well-dressed and eats all of the fabulous home-cooked food. The Manager is always
visible and sorts out anything I need her to sort out. So reassuring! All of the staff are kind and helpful and mum responds well to them all.

My mother was a resident of Figham House for three years. During her time living here, she was cared for and loved by the wonderful staff. Mum was always treated with respect and kindness. Her appearance has always been important to her. The staff made sure she always looked her best. Even at the end
of her days putting her favourite lipstick on for her. The atmosphere at Figham is a happy one. Activities are provided. An excellent hairdresser is there for the residents. The laundry department takes great care with the resident's clothes The cleaning staff are excellent and cheerful. Mum enjoyed the superb homemade food, everything was presented well, and fresh. Lots of lovely puddings and afternoon teas as a treat, again an excellent catering staff. The manager and her team really do help to make Figham home for the residents. As a family we can’t thank them enough, they all helped our mum to remain safe and happy throughout her time living there. Thank you Figham House.

The staff at this home are caring and attentive to residents. I have always had good communication with them. The manager is excellent. The home is clean and bright, there is a welcoming, calm atmosphere. The meals are beautifully prepared and tasty.

All of the staff on duty on Mum's arrival day came to meet her and introduce themselves (so impressed).
Both Mum and I treated with care, compassion, dignity and respect.
Management - the managers went over and above my expectations.

The staff have always been very supportive in all aspects of the care being provided for my mother-in-law. My wife visits her mother frequently and the staff are always very friendly and do a great job to ensure that my wife is kept informed of any changes in her mother's condition.

My husband arrived at Figham House in a very poorly state requiring end-of-life care, with fantastic care, kindness and understanding his condition has much improved and he is able to feed himself, have a limited conversations and even take a few steps with a walker, a carer and encouragement. Visiting
is much better. All staff have been so helpful and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. This includes cleaning, catering, laundry and reception. More than adequate for my husband.

Mum and Dad came to Figham House in July 2020. Staff helped us enormously during this time and have continued to do so to this day. They gave us and our parents reassurance to adjust to the changes ahead and we felt we could ring anytime. Throughout Covid staff tried their hardest to accommodate our
needs.
Sadly dad passed away late in 2020. Throughout Dad's short time at Figham, staff took time to talk to him and it was clear from our conversations with staff that they had learnt a lot about his life.
Figham continues to be Mum's home. Her dementia has accelerated but she is happy and settled. Figham staff have given Mum care that caters for her individual needs.
We find staff to be kind, caring and respectful to Mum and us. We feel able to ask questions and find them approachable. As a family that cared for our parents for 2 years, we feel confident in staff at Figham to continue this care.

Dad had to go into care in July 2020 which was in the middle of the pandemic. We could not visit him but rang the home on a regular basis and were kept up to date. Dad has been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease recently but because we have been able to visit, we can now see him. He is not the dad that
we are used to but that is because of the Parkinsons and dementia. Overall, we think his care is good, as are the carers and we are kept up to date. No one is happy that a parent has to go into care, but the reality is that they have to and we are happy with the care given at Figham House.

Mum has resided at Figham House for three years. She is very content there, feeling safe and secure; she refers to it as home. She is well cared for, her medication is given correctly and monitored well. When Mum becomes unwell, there is no hesitation in contacting the appropriate agencies. Communication
between staff and myself are very good, especially during "lockdown". Mums daily intimate requirements are dealt with in a respectful and caring manner. She is able to request alternative food if the menu is not to hertaste. We are very grateful for all the care Mum is given.
